Thank you for tips Dr. Tasha. You're very fast when you describe so unable to get it all. Mine is stage unknown but didn't go in my LN or any other organ, & HR positive & my doctor order me to take Letrozole for 5 years, she said to avoid reoccurring. What do you think? Thanks

Thank you Dr. Tasha for this video! You did an amazing job simplifying this very complex subject. I am a 65 had stage 1, grade 2, ErPr positive, invasive lobular pleomorphic type breast cancer. I have had a double mastectomy and am strongly considering not taking aromatase inhibitors. I will be seeing an oncologist to discuss my decision. Shine on Dr. Tasha. 💫

Thank you Dr. Tasha, I am 58 had stage 2 grade 3 had surgery chemo and radiotherapy. ER & PR + HER2 0 prescribed anastrozole, my PET scan and last check up after 3 months of treatment is clear. Taking anastrozole may create more problems with bones and liver toxicity what can we do about those?

You do not need to take calcium supplements. There is enough calcium in vegetables of you are eating a whole foods diet. Calcium excess can lead to all sorts of problems. Vita d3... It is fat soluable. Range should be at 60-100. I take biotics research D-emulsion, liquid with a fat oil in it 5 drops under tongue daily

Dr. Tasha , in case of ER + , PR - & HER2 - , with stage 1 grade 3 , with no lymph node impact and lump size 2.6 cm , post lempectomy surgey , is it mandatory to take chemo and radiations ? , Dr has suggested for 4 + 4 chemo , followed by 25 cycles of radiations and then medication . Cant we reduce chemo or raditions cycles here. My mothers age is 54yrs.

Your post was a month ago so I hope you read my response. I get no one wants to do chem or radiation but if your doctor had you do the Oncotype DX test and you scored over 25 then chemo would be beneficial to you. I went through my breast cancer stage 2A estrogen positive last year. Lumpectomy, then 4 rounds of chemo, 16 rounds of radiation and now on Tamoxifen and I feel great. I had no cancer in my nodes or margins. Chemo is no fun but I would do it again if it increases my outcome. My cancer was on the aggressive side that’s what made me decide to go through chemo. I didn’t get a port either. It was easier through the vein. You can get through it too. I know I made the right decision for me.

@@angieposton8377hi there. You saying u feel great even though your on tomoxifin. I'm not on it yet I still have one round of chemo to go and 11 rounds of trastuzumab which doesn't really have any side effects. Although they will monitor my heart cos it can In rare cases cause heart issues. But interested to know how your finding the tomoxifin cos I go on that after all my other treatments.

Why have I not been offered a breast MRI after few years from finishing my treatment although I have had 11 out of 14 positive lymph nodes and 3 tumours, 2 ductal and one lobular? I was 47 at my initial diagnosis. I live in constant fear of recurrence and am mostly scared of my cancer becoming metastatic because I didn't spot any signs of recurrence on time.

I don’t know your age, but I’ve been told by NHS I will be given a mammogram yearly for 5 years. I will then be over 70 and after the age of 70 you are not invited to have a mammogram but you can request one.

I was diagnosed the 4th time at 67 years of age.I am concerned as you are about a recurrence occurring in the future.I asked for Ct.scans, ultrasounds, and blood test every 4 to six months.Maybe you should asked for more testing, and request an M.R.I.also.

There is no difference in outcomes whether a recurrence is found by the patient based on symptoms or whether it is found by scans.

@@wendycayless there is a difference between recurrence and metastasis. Let's say you didn't spot your reccurance early and it spreads to your organs. Your outcomes are definitely not the same.

My wife is six months recovery from her surgery..yeah you could call her high risk. 95% ER 5%PR HER2 heterogeneous (that they missed on her biopsy so she didnt get herpecin with her chemo), 4.5 CM tumor, grade 3, 4 positive nodes out of 24 tested. RCB score of 2. Shes on TDM1 now for the HERS2. And she got denied for every new trial because she didnt get the "stanedard of care" for HER2. Like its her fault her idiot doctor missed the HERS2 before giving her chemo.

Hi there. I have just completed my 5th round of chemo, I have one to go. I had breast conserving surgery via a lumpectomy on right breast. My lump was 1cm ER PR positive plus HER2, so I'm also getting the herceptin drug via iv with the chemo. I also felt pain around the site and in my breast that was operated on. Oncologist said it's normal cos nerves are trying to fire up but then chemo kills off the fast developing cells that supply nerves so it's standard to feel tightness and pain in the breast that was involved. I had two lymphnodes removed one being sentinel and both were clear not even microscopic in there. But because the lump was grade three it put me in a grey area where they didn't want to risk the possibility that one cell escaped through a side blood vessel in lymphnode. Plus my age I'm 45 and not menopausal which meant my tumor was more invasive. Hope that helps
