“The real Troy would’ve arrived on time!” So much for being a “historian”. I haven’t seen those movies in years, and even I know that Troy was always late to shit. His basketball playing ass couldn’t bother showing up to some musical audition, let alone on time for some girl he likes.

Ah yes, my favorite characters; Knock-off Archie Gabriella Reject Gabriella Nice Jock Nice Jock's cousin Cowboy Sharpay Dance choreographer with the nice sweater And crazy lady

If they just stuck with the mockumentary style consistently, the flashback scenes could have been played like awkward re-enactments.

Like a bit like Brooklyn Nine Nine. It has sort of a mockumentary style but not quite as much. They do nail it tho.

It is really cool you pointed out the toxic relationship aspect. Disney stuff does that a LOT and it can be freakishly damaging to young girls (and boys) who mistake it is healthy or acceptable behavior. You are my favorite Jedi, Amanda.

Anytime you bring down one love interest to make the other look better, its just looks like lazy writing to me. And I'm happy I found somebody who I agree with about Ross

So this is like Modern Family, where the characters speak to the camera but Is not a strict mockumentary. Also, Glee Is Disney now XD

At least we won’t have to worry about a bad Disney+ reunion special because like half the cast is either blacklisted, dead, or have publicly stated that they never even liked working on the show and hated the show itself.

As someone who went back to an ex because of a Big Romantic Gesture: whatever your ex did in your relationship that made y’all break up the first time, that is what ex does in relationships. They’ll go back to doing the same old garbage the moment they’re comfortable enough to stop going out of their way to ‘win you back’.

eh, the reason they broke up was because Ricky was unable to say ‘I love you’ which was really hard for him because his parents never said that even though they were married and were supposed to love each other which was probably why he struggled to say it because his own married (divorced now) parents were unable to say it, so he had to be sure. And some couples that break up can get back together and successfully work out mainly because they had some personal issues to work out before they tried getting in a relationship again.

I'm sure you've gotten tons of requests to continue this series but I actually watched the entire thing and liked it a LOT more than I thought I would. EJ is a bit more complex than just "bad jock" by the end of the first season, there's a really interesting plot with the teacher, who is just...omg I love her. Also the original music is the BOMB. There's this one that comes later called "Born to Be Brave," and I'm not saying I blasted that song every morning for an entire month, but I blasted that song every morning for an entire month lmfao It's the perfect jam to wake up to.

When I brought my brother to the auditions with the amateur theatre company I had been with for a while, I made it very clear we were siblings so they wouldn't cast us as love interests. Because absolutely not.

I unironically really liked this show. I think I like it because it's an accurate portrayal of high school with actual teenage actors with (mostly real) teenage problems which you never really see. I liked how it talked about divorce, and difficult family dynamics because that happens way too often for it to not be talked about. I also thought that casting the farm boy as Sharpay was a super cute idea. I could be biased because I live very close to where it was filmed, but I thought it was very sweet and it genuinely surprised me with how good I thought it was. I think it gets better as the show goes on so I do recommend seeing it through to the end. The actual performance of the musical is entertaining to say the least lol

This did a alright job but idk HSM still holds a soft spot in my heart. I say this does represent a good portion of HS but for a real hard core teenage show that everyone has experienced or know ppl in those situations is called HBO Euphoria.

It grows on you, as you watch it.

The theme of the original HSM was "Everyone is special in their own way" ("We're All in This Together") and that people don't belong in boxes. So I like that this show doesn't fit easily into a single box. It's fun!

I actually think Nini is more emotionally manipulative than anyone really initially thought about

This is quite random, and I really don't know why, but when I first saw the show's title, it made me think of Nirvanna The Band The Show.

Hi. Not to be that person but. Those drums at the beginning you said you've heard in Glee a ton...They were in High School Musical. Way way before Glee. I'm just saying.

You've given up on the show way too soon. Nice Jock does turnout to be a dick, but they give more screen time to the other characters, little Archie boy and Nini dont get back together, and this show is actually better than what it seems

Yep. I remember seeing that show. The show about a teenager who plays an action hero on a television show that films in his town while he goes to public High School. I also remember seeing the series finale Disney Channel Original Movie produced for it as well. Though I honestly don't remember very specific details about the characters or individual episodes as I was in Kindergarten at the time and more into the channel's "Playhouse Disney" content at the time. My older sister probably remembers it a little bit better than me.

I was homeschooled, and we live way out in the mountains. However, my grandma lived in the city and when we visited her, we watched daytime Disney. So i grew up watching the Famous Jet Jackson, the Jersey, and a slew of other shows that other kids had no idea existed

I actually really enjoyed the series and recommend you see it through to the end! There’s definitely cringey moments and things that could have been handled better, so it would be fun to see you laugh about those parts, but I also think you might end up enjoying it for the most part

yes , we had zoey 101 ,Radio Free Roscoe ,Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide , Franklin ,The Amanda Show and more nickelodeon shows on it as well.

She is 38 about to turn 39 in a few days, I don't think she is too old. Ashley Tinsdale is 34 . She would have been 24/25 during production of the original. 20 year olds playing parts of teenagers is nothing new.

The Famous Jett Jackson was not a fever dream! Or if it was, it somewhat spread to the French-Canadian side on Canal-Famille/Vrak

I have just discovered you so I'm now binging all your videos and I am 2 years late, but yes, Famous Jett Jackson!!! I watched that show almost exclusively growing up - I don't think it's a Candian-only thing because I'm in the US.

My niece loved High School Musical so much. I think she had a little crush on Venessa Hudgens.

I have never seen high school musical, but, LOVED the famous jet jackson... and, live in Northern California...

I'm keeping up with it even though I don't really think it's very good. But it's easy viewing and inoffensive so I don't mind too much. I love your take on it and think it would be interesting to see how you interpret the rest of the series as it comes out. lol This one video was better than both episodes it covered.

In our High School production of Fiddler on the Roof, they almost cast a brother and sister as love interests (Fyedka and Chava). They decided to swap the sister to a different lead sister.

The parts that are the hardest for me to watch are the grand gestures and/or showing off. The scene where the teacher sings in the hand-holding circle, as well as “Knock-off Archie’s” auditions immediately come to mind. You’re right, though. The cousin has a killer voice!

Keep doing this it’s super fun to have you roast it and it’s ad friendly

When you talked about Glee getting so aweful I felt it SOOOO much! I loved it in the beginning and it became SO bad that I can't rewatch the first seasons because it hurts so much. Kinda like Game of Thrones, but even worse.

This is the best video I've seen about this show. Everyone only touches on the surface but you go more in-depth about the characters and plot. I know you always do with each movie and series which is why you talking about this is perfect. Again, you go waaaay more into this than any other youtuber I've seen.

I love all your videos, especially the Twilight Saga ones, so keep creating that hilarious KZread content! I'm a huge Team Edward and Alice fan and desperately wish the Fifty Shades trilogy had remained in the realm of erotic fan fiction, which meant we would've gotten Midnight Sun six years ago instead of Life and Death, stupid E.L. I went back and rewatched the HSM movies and actually had alot of fun!! Its silly and sappy but I love the music. And the characters are pretty funny. The show well.....it seems to be for some viewers. And those who love it are fiercely protective of it. I didn't care for it but glad it found its' audience!
