This is a war chant of the Golden Horde, the most badass light cavalry army the world has ever seen. Over the course one man's lifetime using shock and awe tactics they carved out the largest land empire the world has ever seen, encompassing China and Asia from the Sea of Japan all the way to the Middle East and Eastern Europe. China didn't build a 1000 mile long wall for aesthetic reasons, it was to try and keep these guys out. The 10, 100, 1000, 10000 numbers refer to their unit sizes, like platoon, company, regiment, battalion, etc in today's army

That's right, Stan. And if you listen to the instruments as they play you can hear horses neighing and hawks or eagles screaming in the instruments. This band reminds us why the Mongols were absolutely feared in China and neighboring countries, including western Europe.

@@judithboggs2196 I remember learning in school how they were one of the first to use psychological warfare. As they were marching towards a town or village they would each drag brush behind their horses, making a huge wall of dust on the horizon, making their numbers look like 50x bigger. Then they would release prisoners from the previous battle and tell them to go into town and have them tell everyone that the Mongols were coming and there was no standing against them. There were a lot of battles they didn't even have to fight, everyone would just run away in panic.

The golden horde is the part that fought us north eastern europeans and kept what came to be russia and ukraine under their boot for a few hundred years. The crimean khanate being their last remnant before its fall just a couple of hundred years ago.

The Hu are a metal band composed of classical music professors who took traditional Mongol war chants on the entertainment stage. Wolf Totem is the war chant of the Golden Horde music and lyrics by Ghengis Khan himself. The problem with Wolf Totem sung in Mongolia is that it works on Mongols like Will You Come to the Bower on Irish Men. If Putin lets the Mongols ride on Ukraine you'll get trouble all the way back to the bronze age (that's when the Mongols (Hu) first obliterated Ukraine).

I love these guys. I don't think it gets mentioned enough that the mongol empire stretched from the pacific coast, all the way to central europe. What we think of today as modern day Germany and France was all that stood between the mongol empire from reaching the atlantic ocean. Imagine groups of 10,000 of these guys on horseback, and they're either covered head to toe in metal and carrying a lance, or being lightly armored, but able to accurately shoot a bow while their horse was at a full gallop. Eerily well coordinated compared to other mounted armies of their time. Wild.

Whats absolutely amazing about this style of music the singer is capable of singing 2 different notes AT THE SAME TIME. There is a guy in Australia who is a master virtuous in this style of throat singing. If you were to watch 1 of his performances it will blow your mind. With all do respect to the band singing and playing in this video this guy from Australia is so good that he makes this band look like amateurs. I would give you the link to check this guy out but it won't let me. You can however do a search on KZread for BUKHU GANBURGED MOTHER AND FATHER THE VOICE AUSTRALIA 2020 FULL AUDITION. They are the decedents of the Great Genghis Khan, they do not want trouble, but if you want to start some, they'll be sure to finish it, like their ancestor, they do not know the word "surrender" Khan today has a very bad wrap as being an evil ruler, but people forget to realize, they are looking back at a man who lived in the 1400's from the current year we live in. "big difference" I looked more into Khan, and from what I understand he wanted all Mongolians united (I could be wrong, but it's what I got from it) instead of multiple tribes at war. If you surrendered he was actually very lenient and you became part of his tribe, if you didn't then the fight was on. Was her really evil? I don't know I didn't live then, nor in his culture so I can judge a man by word of mouth alone, then or now. But I know, they'll fight you til they die, they will die on their feet and never live on their knees.

Awesome, you're willing to tackle something different than the other reaction channels. Check out: Bill Withers "Use Me", live version old school the "humanity" and "real life" of the story will suck you in it makes me emotional every time I hear it, and I've heard it hundreds of times Lianne La Havas new school, magically expressive voice is more of an "instrument" than anything in the band, unique guitar and she really knows how to "create art with a moment of silence and ebb and flow" "Never Get Enough"
