When you said “don’t overlook the single mothers” that brought a tear to my eye. After a biblical divorce, I had 3 sons under 8 and I cried out to God for them to have a godly man in their life to mold and shape them. Shortly thereafter, I met my now-husband who leads our Christ-centered home and now my teenage sons are being trained and equipped for kingdom work because a godly man did not overlook this God-fearing single mom ❤

God bless you young man. I was exactly there myself, saved at 16 but sadly in a church that had absolutely no support network for new Christians. That was 1970, and I quickly was shot down as a "Jesus Freak." I faltered, then backslid for years. The opposite situation is true today. You may lack the discipleship you need and desire, but the resources are boundless. Indeed, it can be overwhelming. Mark Driscoll is SOLID. Real Life (Jack Hibbs) is excellent. I don't know where you're located, but I'm praying that you can find a good, solid Bible-believing church nearby. READ YOUR BIBLE! In my now 40+ years of Christian growth, Psalms 119:18 has been my opening prayer for study: Open my eyes Lord, that I will find truth in your Word. I also ask God constantly to grant me discernment. Ask Jesus to teach you to abide in HIM. Invite the Holy Spirit to fill and guide you. I'll be praying for you, and don't forget people NOW in your family care deeply!

No different than the rest doesn't any of these so-called Shepherd's understand what the Bible says about salvation, these wolves put on a good show but they don't understand God's word, when you repented did you repent from the heart or was it just lip service? Have you actually been born again do you even know what that means, accountability consequences with this man should be preaching not feel good sermons, people you are not justified by works alone and these wolves would have you believe that you are Justified of your wickedness before Christ simple little prayer said he has no choice but to let you into his kingdom that is far from the truth, true repentance comes from the heart being born again means growing down your crowns of Pride/ arrogance and self-righteousness! It means turning your back on everybody you've ever loved everything you've ever valued including your own life and only when you go before the altar of his Throne broken and humble prayer will you see that you have made your choice and it is only then he will lift you up and make you a new creature one that will not compromise our step back to wickedness a creature that loves what he loves hates what he hates and obeys his laws and Commandments to the best of their ability ask yourself am I really prepared for Hebrews 9:27 am I prepared for the day of 1st Thessalonians 4:16-17 either one could take place in the next blink-of-an-eye the next breath could be the last, putting tyrants in office like clintion/bush/obama/biden has put this country into the days of Sorrows thanks to their policies your child can be mutilated without your permission thanks to their policies we are on the brink of War thanks to their policies you live in Sodom and Gomorrah your neighbor could be your worst enemy that man laying next to you that woman laying next to you could be your worst enemy your own children taught to be ruthless they are not even trustworthy are you prepared

My wife and I are listening to Mark Driscoll regularly recently: what a great preacher, profound insights and great knowledge of the bible, uncompromising and anointed. So glad that Mark Driscoll is around, a lot of the preachers I admire and hear God through are dead: We need this uncompromising preaching in our day, applied to our culture. This church is blessed, and his preaching is a blessing to the body of Christ, one that should be received.

I agree… Pastor Mark is saying a real Christian cannot lose their salvation, he says that is the wrong idea or question, then gives a verbal processed opinion of why a believer who is a Son or Daughter of our Heavenly Father cannot be separated from the love of God. True, God never loses His love for us, the question should be will a believer lose their 1st love. I enjoy hearing pastor Mark preach, however if you are preaching the entire Word of God you cannot leave out the very detailed scriptures on this subject and replace it with verbal processed thoughts and quickly paraphrased scripture. I know there is a lot of deception in the desire to lead or grow a large congregation.

No. The true gospel is not one that makes conservative personalities comfortable. It's a gospel that challenges conservative thinking and reasoning to grow spiritually. True Christianity matures and walks in the Fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5. LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONG-SUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH, MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE. This is not comfortable to conservatives. Embodying love and loving your enemies. Matt 5: 43-48. I John 4. This is not comfortable for conservatives. Dedication to charity and care for the poor, ill, homeless, and imprisoned. ITS REQUIRED. Matt. 25 :31-46. This is not comfortable to conservatives but it is true Christianity.

@starspark9471 I'm talking about ALL OF CONSERVATIVE CULTURE. it absolutely makes conservatives uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that they don't even teach the true gospel and instructions of Christ. I know. I grew up in conservative Christianity. I was taught morality, traditional values, appearance, traditional gender roles, conservative politics, and to worship the founding. fathers like demigods. I didnt understand that that was a false gospel until adulthood. I spent my entire childhood without experiencing the Fruit of the Spirit from the adults around me in school or church. I was never taught that we will be sorted at the Judgment based on our charity to the poor ill, homeless, and imprisoned. We're you? If the Fruit of the Spirit and charity are so important and proof and product of true Christianity, then why are these instructions and priorities not prioritized in churches?? Laodecian. That's why. Matthew 25:31-46, Galatians 5

Using words to confirm faith does zero good, and really ultimate evil, because it causes the hearers to fall short of the glory of God, leading to their ruin. The Way is to walk in the light to study it diligently on the flesh. Christ is the cross, is the Word, and is in the light. 1 john 1:7 Want truth? Practice it. Yep, coming to the light. Doesn't say read the words or say the words. Coming to the light is receiving the Word on the flesh. John 3:21 Do your words mean you follow Christ? No. Your darkness on the flesh means you do not follow Christ. 1 john 1:6. "He who follows Me comes out of the darkness and into the light of life. " john 8:12 You better get to understanding what "darkness" is. Leaving it as the result of choices to sin we are perfectly able to make is a lie. Realizing that it is literally the absence and denial of the glory of the incorruptible God (His spirit) on the flesh is the truth. The result of abiding this darkness is sin manifesting from a corrupt flesh. The consequences of darkness on the flesh are unavoidable, unforgivable. Walking in the darkness is blasphemy of the spirit denying the image of God as coming to the flesh. 2 john 1:7 Is a Christian righteous? 1 john 3:9 says sin manifested means not a child of God. You have reaped unrighteousness simply by your choice to abide in the darkness avoiding the Refiners Fire defined by the sun of righteousness. The seed of David is the light of the world that contains the Word. "Light is sown like a seed for the righteous. " Psalm 97:11. If the Lord is not your light, then you dont have salvation. Learn the Way to sow the light. The glory of the Ancient of Days is about the entire day. He spread His glory across the heavens like a canvas, as the tent of meeting. Psalm 104:2. The Day is the shelter of the Most High (light of the sun of righteousness) and the shadow of the Almighty (night of the sun of righteousness) that are an inseparable covenant for righteousness in the flesh that abides there. This covenant DEFINES Israel. If it isnt kept, the inheritance is revoked. Jeremiah 33:20,25 Darkness does separate you from the love of God, because the love of God is only in the light. The Holy Spirit comes as a result of abiding the light. Any peace you think you have in the darkness is a lie. The glory of the incorruptible God is our bread that is not bread alone. Stop leavening it with the unglory of God sown on the flesh. A little bitter light leavens the whole lump bitter. The light is pleasant (sweet) and it is good for the eyes to see the sun (of righteousness). Ecclesiastes 11:7 Leavened light is the cause of a depraved mind and woes unto you. Isaiah 5:20

@swen6797 Friend, I have read what you have written twice. Undoubtedly you have read the Bible, you sound like a believer in the Lord Jesus. However, that said, though you feel what you have written is simple and straightforward, for most people your words are not clear and are confusing. Jesus communicated clearly and simply so that others could understand if they chose to try to 'see'. Simplify if you want to do good or help others understand the Word of God. Most of the Bride of the Lord are "regular humans" not scholars that have done indepth study of His word, unfortunately. Blessings, friend.

Powerful, honest preaching. I was fortunate to be raised in a home with powerful, well-read Christian parents (the result of two people from different sides of the tracks who realized both of their views on God were wrong, and they earnestly sought God with all they had). This is a church I would be proud to attend. Stick to the truth, take the hits, and realize that it is the honest truth making you bleed and cry in pain that tells you that you need to heal and where you need to heal.

Yes. His mother Mary had several children. His siblings if you. They had an earthly father. But Jesus had a heavenly father. One of his brothers was with Mary at the crucifixion.

I was raised Catholic and politely listened to the priests messages, thinking I was getting the whole Inspired word of God. Thus I was not directly reading through the whole Bible myself. Looking back. I got 2/3rds useful information and 1/3 errant or misguided information from my Catholic school education. I have learned to behave as the Bereans did, testing everything by checking the Scriptures (and in context). So yes, Jesus had siblings. Mary wasn't a virgin forever. Once in awhile I still catch myself having an unreviewed belief or assumption. But reading through the Bible regularly over the years has minimized this problem. In listening to friends who grew up in protestant churches they often say similar things. To grow in our faith we need to be reading God's word and then applying it, through the power of the Holy Spirit (not our own efforts and intellect).

Though the original pride flag attempted to use seven colours, it failed, and not surprisingly, fell short of the glory of God (Ezekiel 1:28) and ended up being a 6 coloured flag. Six, of course, being the number of man. Such is the humour of God.
