So much butchering in scripture I can't even understand where to start,the traiditons passed down lined up with the word of God which is why I mark 7 jesus is clear forsakjng the commandments of God for the traditions of man,the restrainer could not be the roman catholic church because clearly they are pagan and the pope himself is moving towards a one world religion with his ecumenism and push towards homosexuality,the pope and the roman church are ethier the false prophet or the whore of babylon. When you mentioned the Russian Czar dying in 1918 thus ending the linage of the Roman Empire I could not help but think of Fatima that occurred in 1917.

The most difficult and frustrating thing about talking to a papist is their utter inability to view their status as a Christian apart from their being part of the Roman church. Evangelicals, on the other hand, make this distinction quite easily. But on your point, the Roman church is not "THE CHURCH" as you state, but rather an evolution of the Christians in Rome as they got in with the empire. Some people think the papist church in a false church due to its rejection of the Gospel, while others think it is a true church but with many errors.

@@juangarza5532To your point about evangelicals being able to see themselves as distinct from the Roman church, as you put it, my answer would be; what other choice do they have? The problem is that you when you study the history and development of the Church into what we have today, you don’t find evangelicalism or even Protestantism existing throughout history. They are offshoots, branches that have broken off from the original tree. I don’t believe Scripture supports this idea of a divided Church filled with competing denominations teaching doctrines and interpretations that contradict each other.

What was the issue Vatican I was addressing? Was it condemning Catholics who were teaching that it was possible to have a long period without a pope? No. It was condemning the orthodox who denied that the pope possessed the same primacy as Peter. Vatican I taught that the primacy of Peter continued with the office of Pope. As long as there is a pope, he will have the same privacy as Peter until the end of time. the question of how long a vacancy could be between one pope, and the next was simply not addressed one way or the other.

Go to the average NO parish and count the children... or even the 30 somethings. I sometimes wonder what mass my children will have access to when they are grown. Even so, the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph.

Hey, this is a very thought provoking video on the "man of lawlessness." I am an Evangelical pastor who also is conversant with Thomist Theology. 2 Thess 2 convinced me that the Premillennialist Rapture was not taught in Scripture and is a Modernist conception. Frankly, this is the first time I have heard an exposition on the "what" and "who" of 2Thess 2 presenting the Roman Empire and Catholic Church (Pope) as these things. What was very compelling was the timing of the abdication of Emperor Karl and the death of Tzar Nicholas in 1918. Plus it certainly seems like the Great Rebellion was set loose at that time.

And Francis interprets Romans to allow g*y blessings. I Miss Christendom believes the bible isn't infallible, because he rejects Sedevacantism. It's only when talking to protestants that magically the bible is no infallible.

What 'rapture' is this that you speak of? Can you point to any writings by any of the early church fathers mentioning this please, or anyone at all, anywhere, come to think of it up until John Darby came up with it in 1830? There is certainly no mention of it in the Catechism of the Catholic Church either, how very curious...

I would highly recommend the Douay Rheims Bible. It is the first English Translation. It is way more Specific, Detailed, and Accurate than any Revised Version. Revised Versions are full of Ambiguities because of the Revision. Any Linguistic Scholar will tell you that. Happy Bible Reading 📜

@@imisschristendom5293how can the rock in Daniel 2 be referring to Peter though? Using your own logic of connecting Daniel 2 and 7, which I agree with, it simply doesn’t make sense. The head of Gold and the Lion is Babylon, the chest and arms of silver and the bear is Medo-Persia, the belly and thighs of bronze and the leopard is the empire of Alexander the Great, and the legs of iron having feet that are a mixture of iron and clay and then the beast with 10 horns is Rome (although I would argue the 4th kingdom/beast isn’t Rome), and then the rock that strikes the statue in Daniel 2 and the Messiah coming on the clouds of heaven in Daniel 7 are a match. Am I missing something? If we’re matching them all one to one then the rock striking the statue and the Messiah coming on the clouds of heaven must be the same event.

Here the rebellion must occur first refers to the 1st jewish-roman war lasted for 7years(66 ad to 73ad) ....this is the most significant war that lead to the destruction of 2nd temple at mid 70 Ad......i.e 3.5 years after rebellion started.....this is the 7 year period of tribulation for God's people......during this period Nero was the emperor and he sent his general Vespasian and his son Titus to subdue the rebelling jews over taxation and other matters......here the man of lawlessness is Titus but there was restriction to his use of power because he was not the emperor but nero was and he become the restrainer.......but Nero died around 68 -69 then Vespasian became emperor and his Son Titus become roman general and during this period of his father reign Titus the man of lawnessness was revealed and he was not restrained that he went and set foot on the temple and completely destroyed it around mid 70AD.....during this destruction of temple millions of Jews died.....this is how from the history we could make out the 7year tribulation period before the day of the lord..... the restrainer and the man of lawlessness as mestioned in 2thesalonian....but after the temple was destroyed at mid 70 AD the war continued till 73 AD where finally the romans captured masada the last stronghold of jews ...and jerusalem was completely captured and destroyrs during this 7year war period...

I don’t get it Rome is mentioned but not as the fourth kingdom the fourth kingdom is Greece. Rome is the kingdom that will subdue the other kingdoms meaning the Catholic Church the way you worded it is weird. Verse Dan 3:44 is where Rome is mentioned but never before that.
