Who Am I? Solving the Identity Crisis | Martyn Iles Live from The Download
The world tells us that to find our "authentic" identity we must gaze within ourselves, remove boundaries, and ask, "Who do I think I am?" This is seriously wrong. It leads us into the worst error revealed in all of Scripture.

Brilliant description of who we are as humans and especially as Australians. I like how you refer to our year 5 curriculum. I am an educator and I agree that identity politics is idolatry of the self. I am guilty of worshipping myself to try and feel better and promote myself while going to drama school. Now your teaching will inform my approach to educating young people, and clarifying the “correct” question, “Who does God say I am”. When I know who I am in relation to God, I interact confidently and productively in this world.

One thing Martin, you ended by saying study the Bible until it makes sense implying that the Holy Spirit will lead us. Could you give an example of that put on, put off process and what it looks like? I know that transformation is not the end goal so I am looking forward to hearing how we apply this in our careers and social lives. I wish I was there with your group to do the training. I had all my applications done but decided to grow where I am planted. I would encourage young people to join your discipleship programme where you teach these quintessential lessons.

Martyn, thank you for being so bold. The bunk that's being pushed ad nauseum. I abhor it. There are so few preaching the gospel let alone what needs to be addressed in these times.
Praying daily for your protection and continued resources to preach God’s Word in the face of great opposition.🙏🙏✝️✝️
Praise the Lord for His TRUTH being expounded here by His faithful servant, Martyn Iles. All glory be to God, our Father, our Creator! Hallelujah! Amen and Amen.
And at a more basic level, when God created the world and everything in it He spoke it into existence- with humans He reached down and used His hands!

Very good, really enjoyed your teaching! Thanks for sharing. God is holy. God is the essential key to understanding our identity. We were made in His image… without this understanding we won’t know our true purpose in life. Read this section yesterday… Job 28:12-13, 23, 28 “But do people know where to find wisdom? Where can they find understanding? No one knows where to find it, for it is not found among the living… God alone understands the way to wisdom; he knows where it can be found… and this is what he says to all humanity: ‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’”

Kaylene, good to know that you will work on it. You need to know that Martyn has given us the answer in this exceptional study of the TRUTH OF IT, the TRUTH about being created in the IMAGE OF GOD. Listen carefully, and pray for the guidance the HOLY SPIRIT. Love and blessings.
