@jamesjohnson8475 ankle pick requires head control to drive over ankle (pick). Same thing as knee pick but instead of ankle you drive head over knee. Here, he changed got low ( no head control or underhook) and snatched the heel. Looks like a low level single to me.
That is what experience vs no experience looks like

It only looked so great because the other guy did not react properly. Terrible posture, no sprawl no crossface, no bridge. He just accepted it then he flopped around until the ref called the pin.

This is the most normal thing in tournaments man, higher seeds always start with the lowest seeds so the first and second rounds you see some domination but it’s part of the process.

Only few will get your comment. I wrestled at both 152/160lbs.. Coach fed me to the Lions my Sophomore yr qhile the junior seemed to get the easier path to victory... 160lbs out the gate was tough. Because it took me a solid 2yrs to get my Man strength... you had 171lbs cutting down and I was naturally 150lbs..

wrestlers top priority is staying off their back so alot of them just transitioning to bjj will give you their back out of instinct, use that to your advantage

@@zack-lk8if usually it only happens in the first couple classes though, when you start learning technique from guard it goes away quick. The reason wrestlers new-to-bjj are so quick to give you their back is a mixture of instinct and the fact that most of them don’t know how to execute moves from the guard because they’ve just never been taught them.
His coach is like “SPRAWL”
Dude that was so well executed brother knew he wasn’t gonna beat him in power but speed and execution is his speciality so he was not worried I’m so impressed

honestly it's the best way to lose. I'd rather get pinned in 4 seconds than fight a whole 3 periods just to lose by points or a lucky pin, admitting someone's better is easier to deal with than knowing you coulda beat that guy

Not even an ankle pick as much as a snatch single. A classic ankle pick has the upper body controlled with a collar tie or tricep control. This is just a scrub getting thumped.
