There are areas in which many singers are better than her. Amanda cole is better than her. Jennifer hudson is better than her. Hudson is actually better in everything, agility, resonance... The build up at 3:32 and the note at 4:10 are what bring me back every single time

After watching this video about 30 times, Amanda takes this song to a level i have not seen in 30 years , forget Idol she is a star who should not be singing covers ,she should be singing her own songs , all i can say is why the hell are we not paying to see her in concert world wide and buying her albums, i have been in the industry long enough to spot someone with megga talent and Amanda sure is.

This is the next multi- talented natural singing rising star with the ability to go straight to the top. Her range is incredible, her feel for the music and the words are exhibited in each note she sings. She is truly a natural and is quite amazing.

I don''t know how many times I've watched this. This is the best cover of this song I have EVER heard. Better than Jessie J's or Jennifer Hudson. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. The control and range of your voice is absolutely amazing. The soft, delicate notes are just as important as the big, powerful ones, and you capture the importance of that in your singing. this lady has a nice voice but is NO where near as good as Jessie J. please don't insult Jessie. Jessie has been singing since she was a teenager and saying this lady is a better singer is stupid, I have seen Jessie J live in concert and No one can compete with her voice.

Tracy, I respect that you are allowed to have your own opinion. But especially when it comes to music, everybody has different tastes. I did not insult Jessie J. I think she is an amazingly talented singer and probably one of the best vocalists in the world at the moment. She's one of my favorite singers because she is so unique, versatile, talented, and her range is incredible. But on this song, my opinion is that Amanda did a better job. So please respect that people are allowed to have different opinions. Insults like "...saying this lady is a better singer is stupid" aren't necessary.

Jenna Combs I totally agree with you. I have never in my life heard a version as good as this. Her voice is absolutely amazing!!! In my opinion, Amanda Cole is nothing short of a star. I've heard really good singers before but this one here is just great. She has incredible technique, control, and passion...all qualities of a great singer. I'm blessed to be able to listen to such an amazing God-given talent.

I also agree with you, Jenna. Up until this, I thought Charice had the best Whitney covers. Charice is incredible. She also worked with David Foster with a Bodyguard Medley on his shows ......(As David Foster produced music for Whitney Houston in the movie "The Bodyguard" As incredible as I think Charice is..........Amanda Cole simply took this song and "I Will Always Love You" to another level......Goosebumps and chills throughout the entire songs. That note she hits at 3:45 of this video takes off like a Rocket. Amazing. No doubt in my mind that Amanda covers Whitney Houston better than anyone I've ever heard. Her other covers are equally incredible.

5 years later and I still stop in my tracks when this video comes on. Amazing Amanda!

Nearly a decade later and this is still a world-class BANGER. No one, absolutely no one, can do this song like her.

@davidg2731 I watched two of her renditions of the song since you mentioned her, and yes, they were both solid. Cole's version tops all by a mile though, in my opinion.

Whitney Houston was amazing, but you owned that song. Amazing Job. If my mom was still alive, she would probably have this on repeat for weeks! This was one of her favorite songs.

She has so much passion and power, hits every note and every phrase perfectly! I love this rendition and she's the best

I have never thought of any one out singing Whitney in her own song.. I played you singing synchronously with Whitney and I can't say that she was better. you don't have retakes or a mastered recording, you doing this live and you out sings any Artist you cover. I don't know if I can find a word that lends any justice to that level of talent. you are the embodiment of music. The purest and most Pristine state of human ability to sing. I love you.

Wow, I was actually holding my breath for that last min.My eyes started watering around 3:45, I didn't realize how much Whitney's death and the loss the sheer beauty of her voice from the world and saddened me. Her range of octaves and power in her lungs always gave me goose bumps which I haven't felt since until just now. I count my self lucky to have heard Amanda's voice and to know that I have just heard one of the greatest voices of this Century.
