I was born in the late 70s, so I was a kid in the 80s. Everything about the 80s is a childhood thing to me. When the internet first came out, and I could revisit those 80s childhood memories, it was really neat. But on one 80s video, I saw someone saying how fun it was to have been an adult in the 80s, and I bet it was! I would have been such a fun time to be an adult, or even a teenager. I turned 13 in 1990, so my teens were spent in the 90s, which, honestly, wasn't an espeically interesting time to be a teenager....it was all Nirvana, and grunge music.

Who Is Tawny?

Tawny has two grown daughters age 28 and 22. It is very heartbreaking to see them lose their mom right before mother's Day. Rest in peace Tawny. You left a mark on the 80's and will always be remembered.

@@Soggywafflecakes If you were born in the 80's then you wouldn't have really gotten to experience it. Just being honest. You would have spent at least half the 80's at five years old or less. Now, if you were born in an earlier decade you'd have so many memories of so much more of that decade. I was born 1972, and so in 1987 I was 15 years old and doing all the fashion things people were doing at the time. I also remember my little sister wearing "jellies". And I remember the cars like Trans Am and Buik :)

Great song, I was a teen when this was released. Brings back so many good memories of times with my friend who sadly passed

R.I.P.... Tawny. Nostalgia road is the only road I've ever known. And the 80's is it. David Coverdale definitely caught the vibe, and thank god he did it. Now we can come back and listen for all eternity.✊🏻

I'm not sure if ppl today can really comprehend how *iconic* this video was for those of us growing up in the 80s. Tawny Kitaen was *everything*. Very sad to hear of her passing today. ETA: You're free to disagree with my sentiment. But this was first and foremost a message of remembrance for Tawny Kitaen, so please keep that in mind.

I grew up in the 80s and - outside of Coverdale's amazing voice and the model's sexiness - I didn't think this was iconic in the least. I thought it was just one of too many ridiculous "hair metal" videos of the period. Corporate, glossy, completely bland, by-the-book, commercial vacuousness. As well as being totally Spinal Tap funny.

I've loved "Jaaaags" ever since this video came out. I was just a kid but Tawny Kitaen never fades away!

Pulling a recording session like this together must have been a huge task. The outcome yields such a smooth reward to us, the general public, we almost didn't notice due to the fantastic song writing. Likely some of the best musicians in the world at that time. It plays on the radio and nobody really notices because there are no flaws

This song reminds me of when me and my mom used to get away from my alcoholic dad after he started yelling she would blast this all the way to my aunts house. sometimes i would stay at my aunts house until my dad sobered up but i loved this song it gave me and my mom a good bond R.I.P Mom And Dad i love you.

Life is a strange trip. Sounds like you tried to find the good in your life vs concentrating on the bad. My brother just died and all these memories flood back -the bad ones sorta fade away and you just remember the good times and the love.

Fascinating to look back on this. My father used to play this in the car as a pump up on the way to my youth hockey games. I always thought this song was 70’s era, just now realizing after seeing the video title it was only 6 years before I was born. Cool realization 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

This song took me back to the 80's in a flash, it took me to the house of my cousin Albert , Queens, New York the summer of 1988 and this video playing on Mtv. Albert is gone now but the memory of that summer will stay for ever in my mind. Rest in peace Cousin!

Ya know, this reminds me of a guy I used to know. American but with an Italian sounding name. Yeah, he was a pretty cool guy, he actually worked at a local prison as a chaplain which is pretty cool. I miss that guy, he kept talking about Heaven a lot, man of his faith I suppose. Wonder where he went, last time I checked he had a new haircut and the day seemed to pass by more quickly.
