Individual examples do not indicate Empire policy Get specialized enough in skills and you're going to see exceptions, force adept assassins is about as specialized as you get. Previously, it was quite official that the Empire was sexist, the old canon even going out of it's way to portray a single female admiral as having to overcome the gender bias. That said, Disney is quite clearly working away from the old portrayal and your Aftermath example is valid. That admiral is both female and black, and neither was presented as causing her any difficulty in climbing the ranks. Completely secondary to competence. However, the film teams don't seem to have gotten that message just yet, so we'll see where they go with it over time.

Your point is partly true. It was incredibly difficult under Palpatines Empire for Females and especially Aliens to ascend the ranks. Admiral Sloane makes it a point to mention how much she had to fight all her years of service compared to her male counterparts. Palpatine was notorious in both legends and primary canon to pit his officers against each other in fierce competition, fostering a xenophobia and strong preference for Male Humans. Now of course Sloane and Thrawn are exceptions, but they are still that, brilliant exceptions to the way the Empire was being run.

I got the impression it was the opposite, Disney making a clear move to insert a non-white, non-male into the Empire and indicating merit as the only criteria. Not saying you're wrong, I just don't remember what you're referring to and haven't found a reference to it to confirm (and would rather not search through the books just now)

There are many reasons not to like the last movie. The mary-sue leading female, the Death Star/Galaxy Gun/Star Forge hybrid weapon, the lack of back story one how the First Order managed to rise from the ashes of the empire virtually unopposed by the New Republic, the lack of explanation as to how a lightsaber we last saw clutched in Luke's decapitated hand, falling into Bespin's lower atmosphere randomly show up...but being "PC" i.e. diverse casting, is not one of them.

No, the Stormtroopers aren't clones in the Original Trilogy... The clone troopers were replaced by "ordinary" humans after the Clone Wars. And sure, the Empire is not a white supremacist organization, it's a human supremacist organization, the only alien that holds a position of power in the Empire is Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Vizir (Palpatine's council)

Also all the clones are "perfect" handsome human super warriors and all uniform in white, aka Aryan. Heck, even the term "storm trooper" is a reference to Nazis... The Empire does so reluctantly, as far as I'm aware. Even Thrawn faces opposition for being Csiss. The Sith is obviously a bit different. Palpatine had an Alien master (Plagueis) and took an alien apprentice (Maul). If Snoke is considered Sith then that's yet another addition.

Actually growing up I thought Vader was the hero of StarWars ... still kinda do...

For anyone who really understands Star Wars there is always been a underlining message of the rebel alliance being against supremacy. I mean think about it the Galactic Empire is for humans. All the storm troopers are human and all the generals are humans unless they are the rare exception which is a tactical genius. So what's wrong with the aliens wanting to drink at the human water fountains?

The real "racism" of the Empire is against non-humans. Whereas in the rebellion or the old republic, aliens even become generals, you never see any in the ranks of the empire. As a Star Wars fan, and knowing the canon, I do think calling the Empire a white supremacist organization is somewhat of a stretch. I know this will probably anger some people, but the prequels kinda disproved that statement. And as someone who is against Trump, if it were to be true that they added obvious anti-Trump imagery I will be annoyed and will definitely affect my thoughts on the whole movie.

Pretty sure the empire wasn't racist. It might not have been shown in the original movies but alot of the stormtroopers were not clones, they were normal people who were of all races.

Buuut they didn't actually say the Empire is racist, they said the Empire are White Supremacist, xenophobic against women and aliens. The Empire is a supremacist group that is xenophobic towards aliens and until recent works has been xenophobic towards women so he's right. White supremacists believe that they are superior to other races, take out White, add aliens and you've got the Empire, doesn't say blacks you just hear that. And I realized I kinda contradicted myself wehen I said they weren't racist, when they are just not in the way you thing but oh well I think I explained myself here.
