I wear mine as a neck knife, so the original sheath is perfect after you remove the loop. For belt carry I'd prefer yours though, for sure.
I had one and sold it. Was a little thick behind the edge for what I needed. I loved the way it felt in the hand.

@gundam0816 I never replaced it. Just mostly been using folders.
Fitting video . I’ve been on an orange knife kick here lately . Just bought both of the Orange Benchmade hunt series knives and recently put orange g10 scales on my S35vn Esee 3 . I almost pulled the trigger on the backpacker but ended up going with the S35vn Izula

@@5MinuteKnivescheck out the Benchmade Meatcrafter and let me know what you think . I got it 40% off because bass pro lost the box and sheath . My only concern is forming the hot kydex on the santoprene handles .

Theres a guy on ebay that makes leather sheaths that fit this knife perfectly after hot wax forming. Less than 15 bucks. Great retention. Never been a fan of kydex for belt carry.

Some people don't like how leather retains moisture or can dull an edge, so I have a lucrative side business in the kydex. I like the look of leather, but that's about it...
Personally, I prefer single piece, "taco" style, kydex sheaths. They have a smaller profile.

Yah but they aren't as strong and only work well with soft loops scout or ulti clips vertical. if you're using tek loks or molle attachments, pancake is better for the strength on the spine side. Both have their advantages.
