Bcz these are white rhinos, the gentle giants. Black rhinos on the other hand are very aggressive beasts.

I didn't see any clashing. The lions do get to their feet when the rhinoceros gets too close. They don't want to get squashed.

Maybe but remember, rhinos will charge at anything that move if they are threatened. Most of the time their mothers are very protective to their young.

I think that it is not just the horn that makes an adult rhino potentially dangerous to a lion, but possibly its size and thick hide as well making it harder for even a pride of African Lions to kill on top of the horn.

Four 400-450 lb male lions have done it many times. I have seen it and its not pretty. The Horn is the Rhino's Ace. Lions are smart and do not want to be impaled. What they do is use overwhelming and brutal force, just like IKE did on D-Day to defeat the Germans. Bottom line. Four male lions will take down a Rhino. A pack of females will do the same. As a matter of fact, here is a video of a pack of female lions taking down a huge African Elephant. The Rhino is a dinosaur but when it is outnumbered by an overwhelming force it is finished. The Male lion is called the King of the jungle due to it's astounding courage. Throughout history the male lion has been seen fighting to the death to protect both its territory and pride. The only reason a Rhino has an upperhand is due to its horn and the lion knows that the Rhino will use it to impale. Without the horn, a Male Lion would take down the Rhino and then kill the Rhino by tearing away at the soft underbelly. Three to 4 Male lions have been known to take down a Rhino due to the fact that Lions are like U.S. Marines...for example, when Male lions are up against a formidable foe, they fight in numbers and use extreme cunning tactics by outflanking their enemy and then move in to decimate them. Any animal, whether it be a Rhino or an elephant that approaches a Male lion's pride will not want to come back for another round of hell. No creature on eath wants to deal with three or four 400-450lb male lions attacking them at once. Lions strike with a force that is 10 times their body weight, now multipy that by 4. How can you determine a white rhino from a black one? It doesn't actually have anything to do with color. I looked it up and apparently it has to do with the mouth shape but I still can't tell one from the other.

Easy the White Rhino has an elongated neck and feeds on grass also normally a bit larger than a Black Rhino. Black Rhino have a short neck and ears are a bit more pointy they eat leaves. The term "White" in "White Rhino" is a corruption of the Afrikaans word meaning "wide", as the White Rhino has a broad lip enabling it easily crop grass, whereas the Black Rhino has a pointed prehensile lip (like the tip of an elephant's trunk), so it can browse off trees and shrubs. Thus White are grazers and Black are Browsers - if you see one eating grass it's probably a White, if you see one nibbling from trees, it's probably a Black Rhino! White Rhino also tend to favour more open environments than the Black, hence they tend to have their young by their side, whereas Black Rhino young trail behind the mother, as they are usually in more dense shrub or forest. Black Rhino are also smaller than White Rhino. Neither are lightweights though! Hope that helps.

Lions will attack Rhinos on occasions but usually at night when the lions have the sight advantage.Lions have excellent night vision and rhinos see terrible at night.They would probably need a couple of more lions with them to actually hunt that Rhino too I would think.

Male lions don’t risk injury so they don’t hunt.Rhinos kill male lions more easily because they are just built to fight other lions not face something than can crush him and the lion has no way of killing a rhino because their skin on their neck is too thick.Lions can’t even eat dead rhinos because they can’t really bite through that hide

See, there are questions we can't get an answer to, I don't like animal cruelty, but I want to know who kicks who's ass:) In a colloseum we could have seen all the fights we wanted. But I know, cruelty is unacceptable even in the name of science.
