To simply build all this up to the point where he finally meets her, then to simply let it fall and move on, would be incredibly underwhelming, and a bad move for the show

Where I am standing: This theory is SPOT on. Here are my reasons: One - Steven's MIND is the key to him aging. I am certain, by the end of this series, we're going to see a fully, properly aged Steven. How? White diamond's abuse. We've already seen Steven Slimming out, getting more buff. He's LESS child like. ((Go on, look at the subtle change.)) By the end of this series, Steven is not only going to be mentally changed but physically. The comment you made about Steven having to learn that not everyone is worth fighting for. That's majour in and of itself. No need to go any further here as you said it all. Last likely, I believe that White is going to actually be 100% anti-steven and in the end, that is going to be HER downfall. The show has been setting up for steven to be a great political leader...and I think by the end, Steven is going to run homeworld. He's gonna have White Diamond by the little toe ((Since that is all he can properly grab)) and he's gonna run this ish. With everyone on HIS side. Mark my words, I think when Steven gives up on you...everyone does.

I think it's more likely that her "difference" comes from being the _first_ of her kind - the only Gem to _not_ be created by other Gems. It may be that White Diamond _alone_ has never had superiors or equals (among Gems) - nobody to talk _with,_ only those to give commands _to._

Legs from here to homeworld:. QUESTION WHERE ARE THE DIAMOND'S PEARLS? It's been emphasized multiple times throughout these recent episodes that a diamond's pearl never leaves her diamond's side. So if that's true, where is Yellow and Blue pearl. They sure weren't with Yellow and Blue Diamond in Legs from Here to Homeworld. The question remains where were they? Were they on the diamonds ships when they went down? Were they on a different assignment while the Diamonds attacked the Crystal Gems? If so what assignment could be so important that a pearl would leave her diamond? This is a question that I hope @theroundtable or @awestruckvox does

Um, the diamond simply didn't need them on their mission to take steven and wake up the cluster. It has never really been stated that they ALWAYS have their pearls. It just seems like the pearls are there to do things that the diamonds don't need to do themselves. Maybe the pearls are keeping watch over the diamonds colonies and stuff while the diamonds are gone, as somebody probably needs to do it.... I wouldn't worry about them, they'll probably show up in future episodes, so if you are really worried just be patient.

It is in fact simple. It was combat operation. Diamond probably intend to jump in, swap anything in they way, and comeback to home instantly. There was no point in taking Pearls with them.

My prediction is that Steven is ultimately going to realize that he can't get through to White Diamond through the means he is proficient with. Steven will still invest everything he has into the fruitless effort of convincing White Diamond to help him because his kind-hearted nature demands that he cures the corrupted Gems. Even when he realizes that White Diamond will never deserve his patience and compassion; he'll still exert a good chunk of effort into this pointless battle for the sake of Nephrite, her crew, and all of the other corrupted gems on Earth. Whether there actually is an alternative cure or not, I am confident that Steven is not going to get one by using his standard approaches on White. The way I see it; Steven will either need to find an alternative solution for the cure to corruption or gain some serious leverage over White, either showing that Steven is free from White and doesn't need her, or leaving her no choice but to help Steven. Still either one would prove very difficult for Steven to Achieve. If the Diamonds are like the gods of Greek myth; that makes Steven a demi-god, White Diamond Kronos, and the Corruption-blast Pandora's Box. Bottom line: Steven is not going to be able to talk his way around this.

Spiritual or Social? Ppl have already explained spiritual- but how about social? Human development is broken down into mental, emotional, physical and social. Steven gets ppl to talk to eachother. Feel empathy towards eachother. Work together. I personally like this idea. PD was a leader that brought together so many gems who cared for eachother for a dedicated cause. She supported garnet's love. And steven himself caused the cluster to just TALK to eachother and GET TO KNOW each other. It built strong social bonds which resulted in one giant form to fight yellow diamond. What about healing though? Idk. Social support is a big factor in healing and our lives. But thats just a stretch. 👌

I can actually relate with this toppic of yours. There are always going to be people in life that will be angry and you CANT do anything about it. WARNING!! PERSONAL story incoming!! My boyfriend is an amazing guy, hes sweet and caring and would never lay a finger on me. But hes a very angry kind of person. I am very laid back and go with the flow. And when he gets heated up he DOESNT WANT to be calmed down. HE DOESNT WANT to feel better in that moment, he WANTS to be angry at the world. When he gets in moments like these theres nothing I can do but I still try. He refuses to listen to my reasoning or refuses hugs or kisses. Its just his way of coping with the things falling apart in his life. Over Priced Rent. Bills, family and friends. His way of dealing with those problems is getting so blindingly angry that he can just forget the pain for a simple moment. I don't know if this relates to the show and White Diamond. But ive delt with Angry people who dont want to talk it out.

Do we really know if that was her ship? And if it was, why would white diamond be in there? We know that white diamond hasn't left homeworld in a very long time, but has she even left the ship? Maybe white diamond has mental powers, and she uses the ship to control others from afar, keeping both the diamonds and other gems on task below her... keeping her in control. It's heavily implied that Rose resurrected Lion, so i guess it's safe to say that's confirmed.

Anger vs Anger before reason. Looks like Steven needs to beat White Diamond down a few pegs when he masters his Diamond plant powers. If I have to guess, in homeworld plants are corrupted like compared to Earth.

Just because your decisions aren't guided by the way you feel (at all) it doesn't mean a solution cannot be reasoned by a talk to talk. WD is an IQ type and not an EQ type. Speak the language of 'logic' and not the language of unending excuses, "feelings". If WD does not comply then she will be deposed by the very subjects who follow her and fight against her. Forced into an overdue retirement I would say. Express interest in what she is doing to begin the discussion. Steven will have to grow up and be smart for once to achieve his goal and as a result so as well shall everyone else and it will be all the greater the benefit. WD has an authority above her where she has a reason to fear it and it is, 'all those who are beneath her'. The creation turns against the creator and this is where Stevens empathy will become most useful. People seem to believe that society is the pyramid but that is the social hierarchy. Society is a full circle which grows and stretches depending upon the needs.

Definitely, I wish they didn’t redeem white, at the very least had they should’ve just allowed her to hold herself accountable for her actions but not redeem her in the same way say peridot was redeemed, she was such an interesting character before ‘change your mind’ now she’s just a joke

KWB maybe. But to heal corruption we now know they need white diamond. And healing corruption is literally guaranteed to happen, there for white diamond prob won’t be shattered. But I’m not against the idea. AS LONG AS CORRUPTION IS HEALED

gem's body is just a hologram produced by the gem (although it has some weight).....so white permanently affects their physical holographic form....but in case of steven things are very different...he has an organic body

I still don't think its impossible that White will hurt Stevens eye, Steven can change his form through shape shifting so even if he isn't a hologram he can still be physically altered. and even if she doesn't damage Steven using the same method she used on her pearl, she can still sock him in the eye.

Again, I stand by my speculation: White Diamond is a rogue, GLaDOS-like A.I. I assume you're alluding to *that* happening to Steven meaning that little nugget from "Pool Hopping."

Triangulate. Blue Diamond would be attached to Steven because of Pink Diamond, creating a natural alliance. Yellow Diamond disdains organics and probably Pink Diamond as well, but fears White Diamond so she may become a reluctant ally of convenience. Three Diamonds acting in concert may just be enough to hold White at bay, convincing her tyrannical mind that taking on the others would not be worth the risk and cost. Pretty much like most real-life rivalry situations.

Do u know the diamond thing in science well the only difference is that it’s red and not pink but white is at bottom and red is on top what if white diamond had something to do with pink being pink and red what if red was gonna be the strongest diamond but white wanted to stay at to so she stole some of reds power which caused her to be small and pink

I’m watching this in 2020 so spoiler alert but Bismuth and peri do fix the ships and them along with lapis come to homeworld on them

Steven will become a ted talk level therapist when he grows up.

The thing that creeped me out most about White Diamond, was the way that Yellow and Blue said that she would be mad, and that it would take a while for her to be calmed down. But when she had a ominous smile and, a emotionless voice; I felt very on edge.

White Diamond is woke af, just secretly.

Whether or not she CAN be reasoned with or not isn't really the issue I have. I just think that she SHOULD NOT be redeemed. There are a lot of people who have or have had abusive parents, and for an abusive figure such as White Diamond to be redeemed would just feel like, "haha, no, no representation for you!" By making Steven to be this great person who can turn even the most evils to good is basically to say that everyone who couldn't change their abusive parent is somehow just not good enough, or lacking in some power or virtue that Steven has. So, Steven needs to give up on trying to convert her to goodness (even if he still is determined to get her to cure corruption) just to show that some people can't change, and it's of no fault of anyone else's, no matter how good of a person you are.

Morgan Stiefvater *This* is the reason why White *won't* be redeemed. And not because it wouldn't make a good story/playoff if she were redeemed. (I mean, it wouldn't, but that's less important.) Also, this kind of resolution to a conflict has been missing from the show. Noticeably. The show needs this.

I thought the point of that line was that even if someone doesn’t deserve Steven’s patience, Steven will always try to talk it out and invest time. I would love it if the final confrontation between Steven and White Diamond is an episode where they just try and talk to each other. Just an episode where the try and talk it out and come to a solution. In an era where many final confrontations are large scale battle, chill negotiations will be an interesting way to spin it
