So it's clickbait. No issue other than song is far from religious or worship content. No matter how you twist it. Took care of sound for my church. Over 20 years. And we were called out for some of our content. Just does not relate for me to the God I worship. Of course some "worship " music does not work for me personally. But all can do as they please. Rain down that purple. Rain it down.

My goodness!! EVERY SINGLE TIME!! I've come back and watch this video several times over the years. Since I first saw it, about 6 years ago, I've learned the guitar and have gotten pretty good. I now play for my church and trying to riff/shred whenever I get a chance. I have band as well and have a pretty decent following. I fell in love with the guitar as a way to express myself, worship the Lord through music, and make some extra money. Mainly because you were an inspiration! Thank you, sir! This was and still is AWESOME!!!

My bro killing those strings like he was blessed to do. Now that's someone I could definitely work with in the studio no questions asked. A friend of mine plays at a Church of God here in Georgia, and the entire band is phenomenal, and they rock that place.

I've been watching this for about 7 years whenever I need a pick-me-up, and it STILL brings a tear to my eye! Thank you!

Purple rain was written in a Christian context. The 1999 Prince birthday concert when he plays Purple Rain he adds in the song that "eternal life is only possible through jesus christ. Only one king" look it up. Lol it's a church service and a rock concert

Amen Amen and Amen. Look at Lincoln Brewster the guy just peels the paint off the walls. Was Steve Perry from Jouneys lead guitarist in his solo career got saved and took it up about 3-4 notches. God wants talented people to serve Him with the talent THAT HE GAVE THEM. Not serve themselves or the devil. If you've got a talent that he's given you then use it for His glory. He's worthy of everything we've got.

Thank so much Joshua. Sure, it's a Fender Twin amp and a Line 6 POD xt Live pedal board. I keep the tone really simple on the POD. Just compression, reverb, distortion, and a little delay. The amp simulators are turned off.
