Whistleblower from Boeing supplier says he was pressured to ignore defects during inspections
Santiago Paredes spent a decade doing final inspections on 737 fuselages for Spirit AeroSystems, one of Boeing's largest suppliers. He says he filed an ethics complaint when his managers asked him to speed up inspections about where he was finding issues, and when he was ignored, he eventually resigned. He spoke exclusively to Kris Van Cleave.

@@robertsudano4304 i dont think it has been as blatent as the max incident, when the first one went down i knew what was wrong, and it was money, they moved the engines to get better fuel economy (profits) and the plane was unstable at low speed so they added a sensor that controlled pitch and the pilots had no override or were not made aware they had one,, then the plane pitched and the pilots and the plane electronics fought each other. This happened over and over killing people until the reason was outed by people other than boeing. Even after boeing disclosed the override, planes still went down. r.i.p. my bro
I want to know who is going to prison for this gross negligence. I hope it’s not just senior executives. I’m sure there are many middle-managers and supervisors that need jail time as well (like this guy’s boss). I don’t care what level of seniority you have in the company; if you collude and participate, you are an accomplice. History shows that “I was just following orders” is not an acceptable excuse.
What a shame. I worked at Boeing back in 1983 in the Bank Service Division and it was a wonderful experience. I may have been delusional about the aircraft production but at some point they started placing profits ahead of quality and safety. It will be very hard for them to recover from this.
Playing with people's lives. What a disaster! I bet the whistleblower will not be targeted for speaking the truth.
So sad this is the world we live in. No one cares about quality control anymore. No one wants to be responsible for anything anymore. This is terrifying. The lives responsible must mean something to someone.

Unfortunately, they do not. Basically, existence on this planet is all about who is wealthy and who isn't. Because that leads to who is ALIVE and who will soon be UNalived. No exceptions. Wealth is health; might is right.

GOOD against Evil
Boeing should make an example out of Spirit AeroSystems by canceling all orders from them, and instead build their own factory unless Spirit AeroSystems agrees to sell them their current factory CHEAPLY... I mean who else could Spirit AeroSystems possibly expect would buy all their faulty 737 MAX fuselages?!?
It's funny how they deny wrong doing even though the evidence is in plain sight. A sure sign of a narcissistic culture and just pure greed
