Turn from your wicked ways people. I was once lost in sin, I was once more interested in the pleasures of this life. I drank, I smoked, I regularly watched pornography, I was having sex with a woman I barely knew, I blasphemed, I believed a lie, and I tried to spread the lie that I believed to others. I was horrible, inside and out. But even in spite of all of this, even in spite of my total and absolute wickedness, The Lord Jesus Christ forgave me and delivered me. I fell on my face before Him and repented for everything I had ever done, and He forgave me. Since that day, I have never looked back; I am a new creation through Christ Jesus. He died for your sins but you must believe in Him to be saved. Please heed my words: Hell is real, and you, just like everyone else, is in need of a savior. The Bible makes it clear that all have fallen short of the glory of God. REPENT! Turn from your wickedness and give place to The Lord Jesus Christ! You don't have any idea how long you will be here on this planet, so DO NOT delay! Today is the day of salvation! Repent, turn from your sins. Bartender here - Try giving your egg white cocktails what we call a ‘dry shake’ first to get a better foam consistency, which will help your bitters art as well - shake vigorously in the tins using the spring from your strainer instead of ice, then after a while add your ice (some people do ice first, then dry shake, although I prefer the former). For cocktails that use juice you will want to double-strain the drink to avoid tiny ice crystals in the glass that further dilute the cocktail more than you initially wanted - use the hawthorn strainer and a fine strainer held above the coupe. Also keep exploring Japanese whiskey - they have a similar method to Scotch and in some cases make a malt whiskey better than the Scott’s do (blasphemy I know, but true). Have fun on your spirits journey, we live in a wonderful time as far as availability and variety go!

Bartender here as well. Totally true about dry shake! I'm just gonna add that if you don't dry shake your egg cocktail first, some of the eggwhite is going to stuck to the ice. If you that a look when he's straining the drink, you can see some runny eggwhite coming out and that is really gross... You can also see some eggwhite floating in is glass.

The good news is that if you keep drinking, eventually the burning and pain will be gone! :D The bad news is shortly after the burning and pain is gone, you end up laying on the floor puking up a mixture of blood and bile because you corroded away part of your esophagus! D:

Yeah, alcohol in any close to straight form I find pretty nasty, I don't get it. Whiskey sours are delicious, but that's because it tastes like sugar and lemon more. Just give me some shots one to two times a year, I don't want to taste it, I just want to get plastered occasionally.

  • @PartikleVT

Yeah, it’s a harsh route to become a whisky drinker. It took me a whole bottle of budget whisky and a couple months for the burning and ethanol taste to go away. Now I can drink whisky neat and as a bonus vodka tastes like water, otherwise I don’t get drunk anymore at all so thats a pretty useless skill I guess.

There is nothing wrong with adding a cube to your whiskey, or even a few drops of water as it will help open up the whiskey. Hibiki Harmony is a great Japanese whiskey example of how the flavors change from neat to adding an ice cube. But when it comes down to drinking whiskey, experiment and enjoy it however you want. Although always try a new whiskey neat first because you can always add ice or water later.

He has taken my heart of stone and given me one that bleeds. He has given me His Spirit, and I am here to tell you all that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Accept The Lord Jesus Christ and believe in Him with all your heart. Believe in Him and you shall be saved.

Dalmore and Angels Envy will always be in my bar. Also, for the Old Fashioned, instead of using simple syrup, try a brown sugar cube, pour the bitters on and mash it in your glass real good. Then pour on the whiskey, ice and your cherry/orange. I personally like the taste it gives a bit more than just using simp syrup.

A helpful tip for drinks that call for egg whites is to “dry shake” first. All this means is shake the cocktail mixture WITHOUT ice first. Basically this helps the egg white be frothier and better overall. Then add ice and shake again. Cheers!

If you want some scotch recommandations: Sweet, fruity and mild: Often produced within the Highland or Speyside-Region, and matured mostly in ex-Bourbon casks - Glenfiddich 15 - Balvenie 12 Double Wood - Aberfeldy 12 - Dalwhinnie 15 - Macallan Fine Oak 12 (overpriced as fuck, but if you can try it in a bar, go for it) More complex and a little bit stronger with more wood influence: Produced within the Highland or Speyside Region, and often matured or at least finished in ex-sherry or other types of wine casks (port, Bordeaux etc) - Glendronach 12 - Glenfarclas 15 - Benriach 12 - Glengoyne 12 - Dalmore 15 If you want some real deep and super complex premium stuff, go for older versions of these distillerys, like Glendronach 21 or Glenfarclas 25. Expensive as fuck and probably not the best choice for a total beginner, but that stuff taste like the nectar of god. Peated whisky: Mainly produced on the scottish islands, and therefore often has a slight maritime touch to it. Especially whiskys from islay have a very strong and distinct flavour . List goes from only a touch of smoke to licking an ash tray - Highland Park 12 - Talisker 10 - Lagavulin 16 - Ardbeg 10 - Laphroaig 10 The smoky flavour decreases with the time of maturation, meaning a 12 year old peated whisky has a stronger smoky flavour than an 18 year old whisky from the same distillery. Older peated malts can be super complex as well, but some of them (Ardbeg, Laphroaig) are really expensive.

An Old Fashioned is improved so much by swapping the orange for lemon. Nontraditional, but a straight improvement imo. If you wanna get really Structure Chaotic you can sub the Ango for Peychaud's bitters as well, which I think suit the lemon better, and now you've got yourself my favorite cocktail though I think most would agree that it's no longer an Old Fashioned at that point

I had to hold back grinning when I first stocked my home bar, imagine going through the checkout with a fifth each of vodka, rum, tequila, gin, bourbon, scotch, irish whiskey, jager, triple sec, blue curacao, coffee liqueur, and some other stuff I cant remember. Plus my stimulus check and the monthly bonus my work gives me for working during covid have allowed me to regularly buy $70+ bottles both to try and for the flex when I have guests, particularly my whiskey drinking family members.

I just started watching these videos mainly for sourdough stuff. But, you are so good at KZread. I love your content. I love that you did a whiskey episode. Whiskey is awesome 😎. I sell alcohol as a sales person and am often tasting upwards of 15-20 different spirits in one sitting. I’ve learned how not to get drunk 🥴 or maybe my liver is pickled 🤷🏼‍♀️

I recommend when making a whiskey sour with egg whites is to mix all the wet ingredients together to froth up the egg white more, then add the ice. Ive found that shaking the ice with the unmixed egg white will kinda start to make it like a scrmabled egg white
