Technically very impressive! If we could overclock the CPU to 4x it would even be smooth! :-D Shows that you don't need much RAM, just CPU power! one question: What's with the CGA-esque palette? Intentional or limitation of the engine?

Yes, that is intentional. There is a standard "designer palette" of black/white/red, and there are many people who use it when it comes to 3 color palettes. For a fourth color, some people choose gray, others yellow, still others green, and so on. Since we needed a color for the sky, cyan was a good choice. To be honest, I never liked CGA's color choices, but maybe the people who "chose" the CGA colors were a little "wiser" than I thought. For our needs, these "CGA"ish colors worked pretty well and are almost the same on C16 and C64 without any major conversion problems. ( I really tried a lot of other palettes before, btw! :D )

@@strictions Back in the day I oh-so-wanted CGA palettes to have just one more color.. I mean, RED-GREEN-YELLOW-BLACK palette needed some form of blue badly, and MAGENTA-CYAN-WHITE-BLACK had no warm colors at all.

But how??

C Plus/4 is faster than C-64 ?

Actually just 25%.. But we expanded the border area so lesser TED access and a bit faster by that, too. Plus this is a non fullscreen version which naturally runs faster than the fullscreen ones..

Why ?
