    If you're like me and couldn't get the "Clips" on the front to work, remove the top screws from the green clip/brackets on the back and slide the whole top forward, then it will be unlatched and you can flip it up to access the inside (I'm guessing it's a model specific thing perhaps).

    I have a model 2016 sold in Canada and it doesn’t have the clips to hold the top. To release the top part it is required to remove the top two screws on the hinges in the back

    What a pain in the butt. Why couldn't this part have a clip at the latch, it lift out from the top, you unsnap and then snap it back in and you are done. No you have to rip the washer apart. Made in America. Ugh.
