    I have never known adjustable brass jets, they are usually tight so gas does not leak from around and out of the threaded part, some cookers are design for LPG and incoming house supply line gas, You need to change the jets for LPG but also i think that may not be the only thing that has to be adjusted, From what i can make out turning the jet left you are allowing gas to escape around the threaded part witch could be dangerous.

    I don't think the orifices (nozzles) on each burner are intended to be adjustable. They are swappable based on the type of gas being used and are either properly seated or loose. If loose, it would just sit slightly higher with some additional gas leaking around the loose threads while the burner is in operation.

    Not true for this stove. The stove and cook tops have separate adjustments for the oven and the cooktop when converting from NG to Propane. Cooltop uses a different orifice set for each fuel. But agree the orifices are meant to be tightened fully.

    Thanks for this. The adjustment down the barrel of the knob is the same on my Baumatic hob, My screw drivers were too short so I ground a screwdriver tip onto a 2.5mm drill and used that! It was much to hot and wouldn't simmer... it's fine now :-) BTW The nozzle itself isn't adjustable... it's a fixed orifice and should not be loosened.

    Dude, thank you very much! I think you did everyone a solid one with this how-to video. Thanks for taking the time and sharing! I myself tried to loosen (to the left) the brass nipples/nuts inside the burner one one of our burners that is just too high of a flame and too hot even at the lowest setting and really did not see much, if any, difference in the flame. I think, maybe, those are meant for controlling a blue-to-orange color of the flame. So as to control the gas-to-air ratio. Maybe! I am no pro here. However, now I have to go buy myself a set of precision screwdrivers so that I can hopefully finally figure out how to adjust the height/size of the flame! Thanks again man!

    One of the big complaints of gas ranges after reading reviews is they won't simmer. It's unfortunate so many are actually buying heat-reducing plates so they can simmer when the simmer flame is very adjustable. This is especially a common issue when orifices are converted to propane, a Simple fix with a small screwdriver.

    Yeah but the high end oven stove combos are wildly overpriced. At those prices it's better to customize your entire kitchen and build a separate marble or granite countertop mounted range with a stove broiler mounted elsewhere in the kitchen. This may be cheap but a cheap gas range is a quantum leap from anything else. Someday I'd like to have a custom kitchen with the setup I described. The one thing I very much dislike about most gas range stove combos is that the broiler is on the bottom so you got to get down on your knees and that's just sucky. But cooking is a live sport and you got to want it.

    A word of caution here. Turning to the far right will adjust to a stop resulting in no problem. Turning to much to the left has no stop and and can be turned to much sending gas up the stem causing a leak and flame in that stem if stove is on.

    That's good info, I think as long as a person is using a municipal natural gas supply the pressure should be of a national standard which would mean the valve should still work safely and have plenty of adjustment period in my case the lowest setting I could put them at without them extinguishing is more than adequate to warm up leftovers in 5 to 10 minutes. It will sizzle water so it must be above 190° at the lowest possible setting.

  • @ArcolaBridge

    @ArcolaBridge

    3 жыл бұрын

    Is the adjustment screw all the way at the maximum setting? If it is at the maximum setting then you cannot turn it anymore. If it is not at the maximum setting and turning it further open does not increase the size of the flame then perhaps you are at the maximum pressure that can move through that valve. This could be normal or it could be a problem. This could be because of a dirty valve that should be replaced or it could be your gas pressure is too low to take advantage of the full range of that valve. You could check this condition by comparing it to another valve. Are you using natural gas or propane?
