In this video, I replace a damaged water inlet valve that was leaking at the connection point to the water filter housing.
For the correct parts, refer to the inside of your refrigerator for the model number and use that to shop for parts. This ensures your part will fit correctly and you minimize rework.
To remove the tubing in the water inlet valve, push on the compression fitting while pulling out the tube. These have to be done at the same time. DO NOT try to pull out the tabs on the water inlet valve as this will lead to permanent damage and a significant water leak.
