Wow this list is for me. My eldest daughter is Wren. For my second if she was a boy Lowen and Stirling were very high on the list. I really wanted to call her Piper and had so much meaning to us but our surname starts with P and it just sounded too much of a mouthful but feels like the one that got away. Joy is a family name and we nearly went with it in the middle spot but went with Quinn Alba and Alba means white which could be a winter name. Another huge crush is Seren meaning Star in Welsh but Wren and Seren again didn’t quite go. We love the Christmas movie Klaus and there is a character called Alva meaning elf which was on my list too. I’m sticking with my two girls but can’t help but still be obsessed with names!!

Rosenwyn is gorgeous! I've never heard of it before either. M.M. Kaye had one of her heroines named Winter, which I thought was a beautifully feminine girl's name. Amaryllis would also be a beautiful girl's name. Edelweiss, unless the couple were The Sound of Music fanatics, would prove to be too difficult for many people to pronounce.

Agreed, Rosenwyn is gorgeous and I haven't heard it before! Winter is not extremely uncommon where I am, I have met a couple of people with that name. :) So pretty!

My grandmother's given name was Dorothy, but everyone called her Snow. My son was born in winter and if he had been a girl, I would have used Snow in the middle spot.

Dagný Brynjarsdóttir is a fantastic woman’s footballer who plays for West Ham and is from Iceland and her name always stands out to me when I hear it! Sterling I also think of football with Raheem Sterling 😂 I’ve never heard Lowen for a boy before, only for a girl. There was a family I used to follow on Instagram who’s daughter was called Triss Lowen and I always thought it was a beautiful name

I love Whitaker, Sterling, Piper, Rosenwyn and Gwendolyn, but I do prefer the spelling Gwendolen and the short form Winnie so very much. I also love both Robin and Wren and Iris.I especially like the combination Piper Wren. I would add the Finish name Lumi to the list which means snow and the Spanish word Neva which means I believe, to snow and I think it is a fresh and underused Nova alternative.

Sterling reminds me of Stirling Moss (classic f1 driver)!

Crispin reminds me of the Good King Wenceslas ‘s favourite pizza: deep pan, crisp and even!

I have 2 Sterlings in my family. My 2 nephews who are half Swedish and half English. Edward Sterling Gustav and Lewis Sterling August x

I prefer Whitney over Whittaker. Andrea over Andri. Gwendolyn is gorgeous, such a classic. Iris is perfect, I adore this name! I would have loved to use this for my youngest daughter's middle name but her older sister is named Daisy and she said no flower names! Ha. Piper is super cute, I like it a lot. I also like Harper because it reminds me of angels. Joy is pretty, it's also a classic. I wouldn't use it but I like it. Trixie is great for Beatrix. My winter wild card would probably be Neve which means snow. For winter, I like Noelle and Winter but Winnie for short. We're actually considering Winnie on its own for a girl if we are blessed to have another baby.

My daughter's name would fit with the theme i think, Caroline - meaning song of joy or strong (depending on origin) I'm from Australia so some of these names wouldn't work so well with an Australian accent (Dagny would be a no) I have a friend with a boy named Stirling. I really like Lowen but possibly for a girl, with the nickname Lo.
