I agree and banks do require an Id for withdrawals especially large ones. If the account was only in op's name, the husband should not have been able to withdraw such a large amount without her consent.
Come on!! Even if he knew the bank account number and pin, the first thing, I would have went to the bank then the police. After that, lawyers to sue to get my money back
