I doubt we're talking a 40 million dollar inheritance here, nobody in this story is living rich. So think YEN. 40 million YEN is equal to about 257, 500 US DOLLARS. Dad owns a small business and 257 thou goes a long way in Japan.

Most of these stories are Asian probably Japan by the way the family structure works, the names have been changed to Western names and the translations are poor.

Translations are poor in all this things. All of them call it a "house".

Visually, this is a hot mess! How is someone supposed to know who is talking/texting? Audrey’s name is at the top of the picture no matter who is talking. Does the author think taking the focus on salaries and money makes this more interesting? Very few people make six figure or greater salaries from any endeavor.

Sometimes they even use the wrong voice for the person speaking.

This is very confusing ... don't know who is speaking as the sentences just show up and it's the same voice, no matter who is supposed to be speaking. Another annoying AI robotic narration. Ugh!

Let these people dream of millions of dollars in their stories.
