It's a pretty good replacement if you ask me, though so far, at least look-wise, I prefer the titan-mech

Kinda weird how simple the old mech is. As a kid I thought he had an extremely complex design but looking back at it it's not particularly complex at all. Same thing with the Morro dragon(except the head)

I learned thet the hard way too. And not only the sets - same for figures. After a family trip on plane my figures scratched each other and thoso all became ruined.

What would've really made the legacy version would be attachable deepstone canon builds in place of the spring-loaded shooters.

I’m gonna be honest with you, as a kid I seen Zane’s original mech larger than it was. I thought it was the biggest Mech they had at Ninjago

@@fnaffand2585 Zane’s is better tho in my opinion because Lloyds is huge and hard to balance with rigidly straight legs- this one is smaller and lighter with friggin KNEE JOINTS and is much easier to balance.

Can we appreciate that the designers incorporated red into the colour scheme (mainly on the stickers) so the red pieces don’t feel too out of pace

Old one is definitely more show accurate but this new one is way better

My best guess for the "skull" design would be that it is a reference to the show Gurren Lagann. The set's designer is known to be a massive fan of said show, and most of the mechs (specifically the ones called Gunmen) from that show have a large face encompassing the torso. The similarity in the way the face is designed here is pretty uncanny to the show's designs.

I did that to mine it looks really good

I used to think the old Titan mech was huge

The new ones color scheme reminds me of the shuricopter

i like the new one but i dont like them both much, bith have flaws, both are good

For the price and accuracy, 2015 wins. I am not a big fan of super big mechs and also the fact that in 2015 it also came with the possessed Samurai X Mech for the same price. The new one is great but I will stick to the OG one. Literally the only reason I would get the new one is for the gold Chad Jay figure

While the newer one has knee joints and is more poseable, the chest area on the new mech looks like it's been compressed and the head is way too small. Also, maybe its just me but the upper half of the mech looks like it based on one thing while the lower half is based on something else.

If those bar pieces were sand blue or silver on the new one, i think it'd be just about perfect

If you wanted to give the newer mech a more icey look you could change the giant Shuriken with the one from the new Evo mech

Ja! It's funny, that happened to me too with the first hulkbuster from Avengers Ultron Age

I found Zanes titan mech at my local smiths , FOR HALVE PRICE, that’s an absolute steal, and considering that in 2015 i found that set but i thought it wasn’t that great , so instead i bought a star wars set , which i completely regret lol.

For some reason Lego sometimes decides to makes a new version of a mech set makes it bigger so that’s only on build

Only thing i don't like in this set Is that He has only one blade(original has two Blade)

The one in 2015 never felt so puny until now

I always thought those sholderblades on the 2015 one were missile batteries....

I don't like the bigger mechs because they never make a big bad guy mech to fight it or even come close to the ninja mech heights

i like how the old set number is 70737 but the new one is 71738. 1001 sets apart.

You don’t seem to go much into show accuracy which is my main concern

it depends if its to play it i would like old but if its for display i would like new

The newer one is supposed to be bulkier cuz even just a quick little look at even just the head you can tell it’s supposed to be a samurai and samurai you know they wear big helmets and shoulder pads and they have the things on the waist

Some how the new mech (2020) legs and hands (not the arms) look odd comepare to the body, which is a very nice build

Nice comparisson. The shull shape is meant to look like gurren mech without shades. Big gaps are eye sockets, small center gaps represent the nose and gold bars are teeth. The new one is overall better but the color balance is bad. Dark azure is too strong on top and sand blue is too strong inthe mid area.

Now, we all know that Pyro Whipper's whipper mech is the best mech baybeee

you still can hold items with the new mech I have it

I also thought it looked big

In my opinion the fingers on the new one looks so much better but they fall of way to easily

I would change the shuriken colour from silver to Gold cause i dont like Gold and silver together

One way to 'fix' the fingers on the new mech is to put a little bit of toilet paper into the joint so that the joint is tighter

I like smaller mechs. I don't mind the big mechs, but I'd like to also have some smaller mechs

The new one looks weird imo. Too much stuff going on. I would have prefered less colors and the sand blue doesn't look good in the new one.

I hate those red exposed studs coming out the front it looks ridiculous. A bit like the legacy Golden Mech in my opinion with that exposed red.

I prefer sand blue over cyan, but the designers should have picked one or the other for this set. They clash too much, especially with the gold.

The only reason why they didn’t put the original fingers on the Mech is because they were too small and skinny

If these were pokemon the new one would be the evolved form of the old one and they would both be ice and steel type.

This legacy set is good , i realley like it , i realley want it , but .... I don't like the fact that is not loking at all like the origianl , wich is just weird to me :/ I mean , why it has onley one blade ? Why is in gold ? What is with the shurcan on the arm ? What is whit that Gold ? If i get this set i will put two silver blades from the shurikopter , make some brick build shuricans for the sholders , and replace all that gold with silver . English is my second language :/
