Growing up I watched my stepfather use his mini keychain utility knife to repair or open so many things, he used it more than any other knife, and he also used his dad's vintage craftsman keychain screwdriver to fix or open many household items, RIP

I've carried a Victorinox Swiss Champ since the 1980's. I can honestly say I've used every single tool on it in both military and civilian applications, and to me that's what an EDC knife should provide. It's not for self defense unless as a last resort and my "go bag" has better defense and bush crafting options, but for carrying on my belt or in my jeans watch pocket, it has everything most people would ever need.

The Victorinox Trailmaster is my favourite multitool. I bought my first Victorinox Trailmaster 15 years ago and it is still going strong. It's travelled around the world with me. I started collecting them and I have several variants now. I also recommend the Victorinox Swiss Card. You can remove the blade to carry it on a plane and still have all the other tools.

What a nice collection! I have many Victorinox knives and also consider them of top quality! A big influence for me was Felix Imler's videos on the many functions and modifications that can be applied! You made some excellent purchases, and know that you paid a fraction of what these knives sell for today! I've been doing the same as a hobby over the last twenty years, and have a massive collection! Thanks for the excellent videos you've been offering over the years! You, Sepp, and Taro are may favorite youtubers!

I have the earliest version of the multitool, its a bit more of a block shape, but a solid tool i have carried and used hard for years. A good place to find a good replacement sheath is look at pistol magazine holders, they come in a wide selection of sizes. For an edc knife I always carry the Fieldmaster, the perfect combination of tools, in a compact size, that doesn't alarm anybody if you pull it out. I probably use mine a hundred times a day, and I wouldn't leave home without it. Its got me out of many akward situations, and never let me down.

I care a ranger grip 79 when I carry a sak. I gave 65$ american for it. To me that is far from expensive. I carry Benchmade knives which can cost hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars. Probably the best mass produced knives in the world. I have found that other than holding a edge longer the Benchmade don't really have a lot of advantages over the Victorinox. As for multitool, i carry leatherman arc or charge plus tti. Again, more money but in this case worth the extra money. Great video! You go girl.

Lilly, the Ranger 55 is not new. It was made by Wenger for years and there was several versions. Once Victorinox bought Wenger and shut the business down, they took some of the knives into the Victorinox range but killed off many great knives from Wenger. We sold both in our stores but I always felt the Wenger designs were better, but of course Victorinox didn't want to get rid of their designs, only Wengers.

Had to decide between Hunter pro and SR! light from cold steel since the price here in Slovenia is similar. Great breakdown and the sheaths you made look amazing. I prefer to carry a Victorinox with a saw for outdoors and one with scissors for indoors: Ranger 78 or trekker for outdoors, huntsman or explorer for indoors. I have the Swiss tool cs+ and a Swiss champ but find them to be too heavy to carry around. I do think the Victorinox Venture Pro looks pretty cool because I watch Felix Immler but honestly, I need a backup Silky Saw more than another knife.

Personally I daily carry the Para 3 lightweight Spyderco, mainly because of the quick one handed open capability for self protection, and what makes it awesome is the superior compression lock instead of the liner lock that your model has, so fingers are out of the way when it closes. Love the Victorianox knives too but I keep one in each car for multitasking and one in every go bag too.

It needs plier for fish hook. Metal saw as well as wood saw. Magnifying glass for fire. Reem .awl. punch sew awl. Multi hook. And so on till its all there. Thick but manageable. Then of course the belt holster for it with a real farrow rod spot crafted into it.
