In my opinion, the essence of this model is not the dial but the bracelet.

Very true. It would be the main driver for me buying it anyway. I'd go for the black version to wear with a shirt and suit. It's dressy but lively, subtle but solid. I like it.

@@martinrea8548 yes, I have a green dial as well. Its workmanship exceeds its price, with 80% AP level, but only 1/10 of the price of AP, and it is very comfortable to wear, at least more comfortable than the constellation, moonwatch, datejust and submarina bluesy which I usually wear, mainly because of the fit to the wrist, The sense of weight fits very well, In fact this is the one I've worn the most since I bought it three months ago

See I’m not quite sure there, I picked up the plain green dial about 8 years ago as my first “semi luxury” piece and I adore it, if anything it gets more comments than it’s waffle pattern equivalent a picked up in 2020. There’s something about the colour combined with the Patina of a well loved, used and worn bracelet which beats out the supposed value of the upgraded dial on the classic bracelet. Weird and anecdotal I know, but it has been my experience with the PRX’s I’ve owned that simplicity seems to be king.

@@charlietaylor3152I'm a bit confused with plain green or black dial. Which looks better in real life?
They are all beautiful and wearable any time. There’s no wrong answer! Blue - Everyday, wear all the time. Green - Special Occasion Black - Smart, MIB style, just part of the outfit Gold - If you wear jewellery, match that gold ring to complete the look. I also find gold on a watch has a sense of maturity. I went for the green as this would not be my only watch.
I have the automatic woth blue dial absolute love it! I don't think I'll.ever get bored of this watch, plus I don't think you can beat this for the price. Stunning piece
A couple of years ago, I bought the Tissot Gentleman Powermatic with a blue dial. I like the shape of the dial better than the PRX. My personal preference of course. Last month, I bought a 35mm PRX for my sister. She loves it. She hadn't worn a watch for decades. Now she wears the PRX everyday.
I was going to buy the quartz (value wise) but....when I saw that green waffle dial...I was hooked! deep green...sometimes black, goes with a lot of colors. My heaviest watch, still very confortable, wear it loose with swagger!
Thanks for the comparison. I always love blue dials, but I already own a Tudor on a blue Nato strap, so I think the green one is nice and fits better with black jackets
I wanted the green dial at first. After trying on both at the boutique, I went with the blue one in the end. The green dial is quite dark and looks almost black under certain lighting conditions. The blue is stunning and stands out a bit more. Really depends on what you're going for. My advice is to try on the different dials and get the one that speaks to you.

I had 3 sessions last week over a few days trying on these with the intention of buying green. Ended up choosing blue on the day of purchase purely for the fact the green looked almost black in certain light and the blue stood out more.
I’m buying the blue on steel and picking up blue, brown and black leather straps, plus an orange and a black rubber strap. I love the way they look on leather and it gives me 6 different looks that’ll go with anything.
CH videos and content just keep getting better and better! I’m sure I’ll keep coming back to this one as I consider the PRX time and time again, albeit yet to pull the trigger. Green dial all the way for me…. 👍👌

I went with the black dial 40 mm quartz. Simple grab and go. Thanks for the upload! Pretty crazy the finish for under 400 usd
I have the Powermatic 80 with blue dial. I consider it my dress watch. It runs slow 3 to 5 sec per day. I like the green too.
A well thought out 40mm watch will fit a 7.5” wrist perfectly well. No issue. To someone who habitually gravitates to large cases for maximum impact, they might not see it that way obviously, it could require a change in the metrics used to decide what fits or not- but tastes are meant to evolve and be refined over time I’d think, makes developing a collection more fun.
i went for the 40mm white dial quartz, love it.
Great Video. Thanks for expressing your opinion on wich one to get. I've ordered the blue one some days ago and cant wait for it to arrive. Im with the crowd on this one i guess ^^ I totally understand though why you went with the white dial on the omega seamaster 300. It is the only one I really like (Maybe the black one is fine) but i think the blue one looks bland and boring on the omega :)
I bought the green Version, i am very happy with it.👍🏻
I love blue but that green dial in the flesh is stunning!
Bro the shade of green is ON POINT.I ordered the black quartz.
the PRX Quartz with a black face is the one I got and it always makes my wrist look good when I wear it.
I own the PRX Blue Quartz and the PRX Blue Chronograph. I don't like the reverse waffle dial on the automatic or I would have one also. Great looking watches, excellent value.

Totally agree with you, the flat blue dials represent the best proposition for the PRX. I totally enjoy my quartz, heck of a great value.
I certainly relate to your desire to pick a watch that is outside of the major trends in the watch worlds. In this instance the attraction to the green dial when most people are buying the blue-dial version. I prefer having a watch, or watch dial, that is a little unique, outside the trend for blue dials. That was the reason I was also attracted to the green and have it on my "to buy" list.
The PRXs became an obsession to me; I have 2 automatics (blue and whithe) and a black quartz, I just love them all 🙃

If Tissot makes a red dial in the powermatic, I'll by a second prx on the spot. For now the green powermatic is superb.

Saw it at AD.it’s amazing
My favorite color is the black because it's a mat black more deep gray like the Moonwatch. I prefer lava rock beads over the glossy onyx beads if that makes sense.
❤❤❤i wore my prx in public yesterday-the coolest thing about this watch( attracted lots of attention ) it has its own unique beauty !...doesnt look like a homage or a fake watch-i predict that these low prices of the prx line will skyrocket into the wonderful world of vanity-and i am a proud owner of the quartz no worries excellance-a watch u can quickly grab and go out without the hassle of setting the time or adjusting-this watch will transform the efficiency of wearing an attractive lightweight thin timepiece !!

I got the green, and now am thinking about the blue, or the light blue. It's a great watch. One thing to note if trying on in a store is that it looks quite different in natural light (more matte) than artificial light (stronger sunburst).

You are correct if that date dial was at 6:00 it would give it a nicer cleaner look in my opinion

IF the PRX had the date at 6 oclock, I'd buy the white. Love it.
Everytime I see a Tissot PRX at an AD, I ask myself, why I didn´t bought one yet. But then I remember that my son is allways telling me "You allready got enough watches". But sometimes... I would prefer the blue dial. It´s the color I like most. Wristcheck: Christopher Ward Trident C60 (38 mm and 600 m. WR)
I have the PRX in white faced quartz. Just wanted a grab and go watch and it does that well. Dressy and reliable. If I'm wanting a dress up smart watch though, I'm going for my hydroconquest :)
I like the green dial too, cause blue is too common and that green is unique and elegant. I also like the ice blue colour for the uniqueness but the green dial have more dress up and casual environment handling capabilities….
bought the blue and the black, the subtle green is kind of nice too🤔
I’ve just bought the PRX Automatic in Green today. I could have saved myself 50 quid! Still at full price it’s still a bargain
I want the green in the quartz, blue in the automatic 80 and the black with the rubber strap there all on the list
I remember 10-12 years ago most watches I would buy had to be blue dial and seemed odd to everyone! people would sometimes joke me back then it was either black or white dials! Look at the situation now! Walked into the Rolex boutique one day to buy my first one and picked the green Sub, The sales lady looked into my face with awe thought that I must be nuts.

Where do you live, where you can walk into an AD and just buy a sub with a choice of colours? Sounds like BS to me.
Ice blue PRX 80 would be the choice today. If you can get your hands on 1
I agree with you. Green wins. Date ideally needs to move to 6.
I'm waiting for the new gold dial and case 40mm automatic version of this. I'd be interested to know what you think of it. I'm buying it as a dressier watch.
I got the green automatic and quartz.
I’m looking to buy a watch in this budget. Should I go for the PRX or there is any other better options?
This might be their most popular watch as it resembles the Audemars Piguet the most 😎👌🏼
i love the date at 3 o clock
You’re entitled with your own opinion. I’m fine with the date at 3 o’clock. Nice vids btw.
I have decided to just get all of them :D
I would love to see them do the gold accents on a green dial
For me the quartz!!!.... I love sunburst dial more than waffle 😉
Well this video is for me. Last week I wean to AD and asked him for the blue waffle dial and he told me only green is availble and I didn’t know that there is green color at that time. Once I saw it, I immeditly confused and couldn’t decide either to buy the green or wait for thr blue one. The green looks amazing and beautiful. I did not buy tissot PRX yet becuase I want to see and try both green and bluw and decide which one is more suitable for me. Green is kind of not popular as blue which make different than others while blue is very simple and classic and fits to almost all dress codes with wearing any colors of dress. I will buy one of them for sure next two weeks and hope to get the best one fits for me. Thanks for your contents and keep going 😃.

Agree, no date or at 6. Grab and go or Symmetry
Wanna have a 6 o'clock date window is not snobby. It's just knowing your preference. I also prefer symmetrical dials (6 o'clock, pointer date, no date) but at such a price, this look and the movement maybe you have to make a compromise. I'm still not sure if I really want this watch or if it's just the hype that makes me feel like I want one

I need some quick advice… I recently purchased this exact same PRX Powermatic 80 (blue dial). This morning, I picked the watch up out of my watch box and wound it 30 times. However, I forgot to check if it was still running on its 80 hour power reserve cycle. To my surprise, it was indeed still running and on the current date and time. Will my winding it 30 times damage the watch? Please advise thank you. 🙏🏻
But do you like the white or blue better?
I believe the thing with the date at 3 is just a matter of personal preference. I get why people like 6 o cock dates more, but for me the 3 o clock position looks that bit more appealing. Regardless of that I am very impressed by this watch and it will actually be my next purchase. Thanks for the review Harrison :)

I really enjoyed watching this video, really informative and engaging. However I would personally disagree with your opinion that this isn’t a sports watch… it has all of the ingredients of a sports watch… that is a larger stainless steel case with some strong angles and a mix of brush and polished facets with integrated bracelet and 100 meters water resistance without a screw down crown, an automatic movement 80 hours power reserve. I believe these are the hallmarks of a sports watch in the context of the era it’s heralding back to; whether it’s too nice to be actually used as sports watch is a different matter though!
Being the PRX is a 1:1 of the '79 seastar (sized up to 40mm), I don't think they considered a 6 O'clock date window.
Not a fan of bracelets so bought with blue leather strap which I love
I am between black and blue. But besides I have 18 cm wrist, it doesn't have right fit. Only with strap it's ok.
After trying PRX at the boutique; hated the sharp edge of the corners.
I wish I could get the blue dial that is on the quartz model on the automatic model .

The world needs a 37-38 mm! I own the 40mm but it is too big on my quite large 7.25 wrist, especially the dial surface and the lug to lug including the first link. And the 35mm wears too small.
They need to make a 80 powermatic in 38 mm without the bad looking waffle dial (my opinion) for me to wear a prx, I just love the case and the bracelet i don't really like the waffle dial.

The blue is too Oaky, I've got the green too, should have a closed case and be thinner.
Definitely the blue waffle dial for me. It's just a classic. Black....well, it's just black and I am tired of black watches. I own too many of them. Green is cool and all (and I do own one green watch), but it's just a "phase" imo. It's not timeless and it doesn't work with all clothes. I have a hard time matching my green watch. That's just my opinion obviously.

Tissot PRX's bracelet edges are too sharp. They scratched my car's leather steering wheel. It was a little more than a scratch actually - the bracelet peeled it a little bit. I haven't worn it when I have been going out with my car since then, which is almost always when I go out, so it stays in my drawer.

Yes u r being snobby, because there would be overcrowding at 6 o'clock position if date window shifted there. Where will the branding logo go, at 3 o'clock ? That won't look symmetrical or vintage like Edit - this particular Tissot is homage to AP's Royal Oak not Rolex or Timex day dates
