I'm a big fan of study bibles. Obviously, the commentary and theological notes aren't inspired (only the scriptures are), but I do love how much insight these various scholars can illumine to you on the meaning of the biblical text. Also, using various study bibles is a must to really get the whole picture and different perspectives on a particular passage or book of the Bible. It's so interesting how you showed the Life Application Study Bible KJV in teal as I bought that study bible literally 4 days ago! I've never had a Life Application Study Bible before, but I'm really looking forward to using it and I got to say, this particular edition in the video looks beautiful! My favourite study bible that wasn't featured in this video is probably the CSB Ancient Faith Study Bible by Holman. I love that it contains various commentary from the church fathers, as well as their biographies and articles, as well as addressing various heresies that developed in the early church. As I find church history to be very interesting, this is an invaluable resource.

Great overview of different study Bibles. I just purchased the newer version of the NIV Life Application Study Bible and I love it! Such a great tool!

We send a big thank you, especially about the Bibles named for one person. We wondered if it was just that person's commentary/point of view, or more of a group's. My wife says thank you for the font size-a big issue for her lately. It's a big help so that if she sees a Bible she likes, she knows if she should look into a large print edition.

When it comes to Bibles named after one person the content does vary depending on what the publishers want. Some of them are just one persons point of view while others like the NIV Zondervan Study Bible (Now called the NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible.) was edited by D. A. Carson but the study notes and articles were written by both individuals and committees.

Good video Tim! I am a bit of a Study Bible junkie but I've slowed down the past few years. lol I would point out that the NIV Zondervan Study Bible edited by D.A. Carson underwent a name change a few years ago and in now called NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible. It's currently my favorite study Bible although the Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible is a close second.

I've had the NLT life app for years and to this day it stays right next to my recliner as a daily reader! The book intros and character profiles are awesome!

Great selection of Bible, and so many to choose from. I would like to get a good Life Application Study Bible. I'd like to get deeper into the word of God and not just read it, and I would like to learn how to apply what I'm reading to my daily life.

Good overview as always. I enjoyed my first time read through of the KJV LASB recently. Got more out of it than I was expecting. Ended up buying the LASB commentary for eSword (good alternative to your request for Filament enablement).

I have the large print teal color cover in the NLT translation. And I have soooo many more. I recently purchased the Sword Study Bible KJVER in a purple cover with 11.5 pt font. I have several study bibles. I love the extra Commentary and features. I have the ESV Personal size Study Bible, the NIV Life Application Study Bible, and the CSB Tony Evans Study Bible. I also have the CSB Spurgeon Study Bible. Love them all!

Reformation Study Bible. MacArthur Study Bible. 2 solid choices that I utilize on a regular basis.

I'm curious why the keyword study Bible went under the column you put it under or that it has been put under. Is it because he decided what the key words and the Greek were?
