I have the Scout X Pro and absolutely love it, but it’s the only slingshot I have so I have nothing to compare it too. My only issue was a gap between the webbing at the base of my thumb and the frame (brace grip). So I used a thermal plastic mold to customise my grip, it now feels incredible. 100% locked in and consistent hand placement every single time. I still want to try different frames but I don’t think anything will beat this one now.

Just ordered a Scout X, can't wait to try it out, haven't shot a slingshot since I was a kid. Having been into tradional Archery for years I thought it would be a fun to pick up a slingshot again.

Thank you for the very info on the Scout line. I have 2 Scouts original frames difference color combos. They shoot very well! I also have just about 3/4 of the frames sold by Simple Shot and love them all!!! Happy holidays to you!

I went with the X. Been shooting for a few months and love it. But I've also been hooked on getting cheap Chinese ones from temu. You know, shoot it for a while. Have some fun. Then gift it to someone who might gain an interest in the slingshot hobby. But I'm not gifting my Scout. Appreciate your video.

Using anything but a flat bolt is a step back. I just put a washer of the appropriate size on the lanyard for that type of bolt and you are good to go. After the debacle with the clips that came with my Torque though it really soured me on Simpleshot band clips.

I have 3 lt frames and 2 more lt on the way so i obviously like it. The anchor point had to come up a bit than what im used to but once you know the spot. Deadly

I am a newbie to slingshots as of about 4 months ago or so in Summer of 2023. I am addicted and bought every SimpleShot model, and a bunch of Chinese Ebay slings. Some of the Chinese ones are CRAP and actually fall apart mid pull. I have found some good ones, but I'm learning that the Axiom X, and Scout / Scout X are my go to's, BUT I have a Chinese one that has a smaller rake and finger indents that it is pretty awesome. I'm still learning and have a long way to go, but NOTHING is satisfying as hitting the target with a slingshot and hearing the "ting".

Comment for 411 Coming from a person who enjoys recreational shooting of firearm's air gun's bow's and arrows and slingshots. My thrill of the firearm is mostly due to the power aspect of it loud noise the smell but there really is no challenge to me with them. Air guns are more relaxing to me no loud noise actually more practical in my opinion to hunt small game with than a firearm but still little challenge with them I hardly miss. Bows are fun but arrows cost a lot there big the bow is nice but moving to the slingshot I like it better its small compact delivers great kenetic energy with latex rubber can be used to shoot rocks ball bearings arrows if set up even a spark plug or fishing weight in a pinch. Striking a target with a slingshot is so much more satisfying than with a gun with sights you look down and rarely ever miss the strike on a target with an instinct aim of a slingshot feels like a better challenge and satisfies me so much more than the bullseye hit from a guns bullet that is just to easy every time.

The one thing I do not see you talk about is the fork width. I feel it is something that more attention should be given to as it will affect your shot placement when changing slingshots. Going from a SS Sparrow to a SS Scout XT i am 100% going to be shooting low. I will rather find something closer to the same fork width than I am used to than having to now keep changing anchor point for each frame.

I guess the only time I’ve ever thought about fork width is safety for new shooters. Probably why I didn’t say anything about it in this video because all of these frames are wired.

Good review comparison there , a simple technique to find out as which one is best slingshot , target your neighbour with each of the slingshot ,the one hits them harder is the best and also dare to ask them as which slingshot hit they liked and enjoyed the most 😂😂.

I don’t understand how you can shoot through the forks with the scout x model, being that it has fiber optic sights on the side of the frame.(???)

  • @411Outdoors

You can’t idealistically shoot through the forks, but positionally you could if you needed to. Not recommended but you can.

hey you should check out the nori nano by Midgards Messer (if they are still in stock 7 left when i got mine, they DO NOT restock ). a bit pricey ($100) it basically a tiny “pocket” axe is great for precision cuts but my favorite part is the way it fits in your hand basically gives you a brass knuckle but as a blade which would cause terrifying damage with some basic boxing.
