I would imagine all the women in the Royal Family knew she wouldn't be a working Royal.

You can't pull the wool over Princess Anne's eyes, she is too observant for that, she also knows who would and would not make the cut in "The Firm". And so far she's been spot on. She's got a lot of her Mother in her as well, and Queen Elizabeth was very no nonsense.

We Americans don't always get that these royals are working a schedule everyday. I hope they can have a"PJ's All-day" day, once in a while. Yes they have staff working for them, but still they follow a schedule everyday, and have to be in a good mood, greeting the public, etc. I thought when Meghan blocked her family, except her mom, from her wedding it was a sign of trouble on the horizon. Then when she made fun of curtsying to the Queen, it was downhill after that.

Anne, the hardest working Royal for many many years, knows it about the work and being entirely of service. She also knows a person needing constant approval and who wants to be in competition for attention and adoration could never succeed.

Princess Anne is the best of the Royals since her mother passed.

Princess Anne is amazingly intelligent! I am sure she and her mother could see right through Meghan😂❤

I read on one of the youtube vlogger's channels links more than an over 2 years ago an article that said the staff allerted the senior royals that she behaves like she isn't planning to stay. She also retained 3 PR companies in the US and one in the UK as well as her US business management and lawyers all the time she was in the UK.

I liked Harry so even though I didn’t know who she was I was happy for him until the engagement interview when I saw straight thru her. So if I could see it then the people who actually met her would obviously have sussed her out at first sight! Interesting that the staff knew she wasn’t going to stay and that she kept all her PR,lawyers etc…

The Princess Royal is extremely smart. She is smart academically, and street smart wise. Meghan could never fool Anne. No one can "pull the wool over Anne's eyes". I admire Anne. King Charles needs to listen to Anne. Her advice is wise.

Princess Anne is a Royal Lady in every way. Respect.

Harry's wife wanted the British Monarchy to become Disney Monarchy, based on HER vision of how she would play the "role". It was a "Casting opportunity", where she saw herself as the Star, and not what she was... a bit part player in an ensemble ("4th Spear carrier from the left" akin to stage productions of Romans at War). She played victim and painted it as Racism, stoking unrest in some communities in UK.. because she didn't get her way, after TELLING the World, SHE was going to modernise the BRITISH Monarchy. Didn't understand, it survives because, we (the people who paid for her fancy wedding) like it that way. Princess Anne understood, she was born Royal, but would move down pecking order with each child born within her brothers' families. And.. STILL she did her duty and honoured her birthright. Harry's wife wanted Celebrity. Result.. She had it all, but lost it, because she wanted more, more, more. First bloom of love will have died for Harry, and he now knows he was just like his Great Uncle Edward 8th...a failed Royal, grandson, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and nephew. No value and his wife proved HE is now "Surplus", never mind.. "Spare".

Anne inherited the best traits of both her parents. Had things been different, she would have made an amazing Queen.

Anne manages to merge British work ethic with the timeless world she was born into, holding a title that harkens to a medieval fantasy. She can ride a horse decked out in ceremonial livery, wearing clothes straight out of 200+ years ago, but still keeps it real, understands the performance aspect and knows that it's a job more than an identity. That can't be easy. I think you have to have keen discernment into people, especially oneself, to do that. Look at the difference between her outlook, and her Aunt, Princess Margaret. Same title, just one generation apart, both spending entire lives orbiting the century's most iconic monarch, but so different in how the role takes its toll on a person and how they cope. As an American, I knew Markle couldn't pull it off, but if she'd taken an ounce of Anne's advice, she probably would've lasted longer.

How entitled are these people? From third rate 'actress' - no qualifications - to being involved with the British National Theatre - a prestigious institution! The unfortunate thing, she was not only not born a man and up until Andrew and Edward were born, she became fourth in line. I'm glad that HMQ changed that role, but it's a little too late for Anne. I have to agree, Anne would make a heck of a monarch but now she is way down the line of succession.

I think Princess Anne really looks like a Princess. She has a lot of the features of the old monarchy. Long gone, but you can tell that Princess Anne has been born Royle.

So, Princess Anne tried to tell Meghan how it works but getting involved & educating herself was way too much for her. Princess Anne has very sincere eyes & I can tell that she can stare right through someone & intuitively know what kind of person they are.

You can't get anything by Princess Anne. She just does the job.

No only reason Megs has for charity is how much she can profit personally.

I think the Queen also knew straight away. She took Meg under her wing for several engagments...watch the videos, and watch the look on HM Queen Elizabeth II's face. Subtle, but clear.

And Princess Anne was absolutely SPOT ON!!

How could a yacht girl ever understand or even last in a place with so many many royal protocols to follow and royal duties to uphold. She just wanted the title, money, and an easy life. This is no fairytale. So, she caused all the problems and accusations and ran for her life.

Princess Anne is so amazing in her work and service over all of these years. Then we saw what harry had done, bringing along that megn, posing herself in photos looking like she was an older woman faking a clueless immature expression with a fixed plastic grin.

​@@westcarolina7559your question/comment really makes no sense... What family does Princess Anne have in the USA that would require a visit? Harry is only a nephew AND the one that chose to move to another continent. Yes, often Aunts may visit nephews, nieces, etc... but very many don't. Especially when they have their own families (children/grandchildren) to spend the little bit of free time with.. And I say "little bit of free time with" because Princess Anne bust her backside serving her country and the charities that she patrons. You contradict yourself when you worry about a lack of visits to the states, but then complain about the cost of said travel being bore upon the backs of the British tax payer.. Her last visit was official, with a quick turn and the first in 65yrs. It was also in the New York area, and Prince Whipped and Nutmeg live on the OTHER coast. Again, why would she visit them? I could be reading this wrong, if so, please enlighten me

Probably most of the RF knew MM didn't belong in the RF. Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, isn't afraid to speak her mind which is one major reason she is so loved and admired.

By the time of the wedding they all saw her for what she really is, a grifting raging z-list narcissist. The whole tiaragate got me. As you know she had to wear a 4 month size moonbump coming out with cabbage patch Archie , women still have a swollen tummy right after birth. And she wanted everything to look like she had just given birth . To make it look real. Little did we know that was a doll !

She looks more like her Dad's mother Alice,its spooky.

Anne was kidnapped at gun point & did not let that actual trauma stop her from doing her duty. Mrs H had ONE comment - if there actually WAS a comment - & that supposedly traumatized her so badly that she had to flee the country. Anne was born as a spare & had no issues with that, in any way shape or form. Mr H was born a spare and felt this was so horribly unjust that he had to hire somebody to write (a boring 🥱 & unreadable) book about it. Anne is born to her titles & in spite of working hard, was modern and modest enough not to insist on titles for her own offspring. Mrs H is not born into the family, has&will achieve nothing, and insist on claiming titles for her offspring. It’s time to revoke undeserved titles. Oh, how the world will continue to laugh as the baby girl who was supposed to “hit the road running”…
