Very intresting video... I ordered the same outboard for a 6.50 rib (650 kg of weight). I mainly use the rib for lond travels (average 50 mgls every trip) with 2/3 people on board. My goal is not the top speed , but the higest crusing speed with the lowest fuel consume, and I mean to not go under 1 mile for 1 liter of fuel. Also I'm going to use a dock, so the hull will never get dirt..! Any prop suggestion? Greetings from Italy

My Suzuki 200 with 3x14.75x23r propeller gets 50 mph on a 1986 Wellcraft 21 Sacarab. Nice fuel economy and super silince. 😎

Was that the only prop that you tested? I have a 3x16x21.5 thinking of trying your setup.

What brand & model of boat? Boat dry weight too? I have 1987 Boston Whaler Outrage 22ft just repowered with 2021 Suzuki 200 with 3X16x20R. Need advice? I’m having to raise my engine mount to two hole up to rid all the excess splash. Thoughts?

Yes, we call that a V splash. 4 stroke outboards tend to be heavier than 2 stroke so what happens is that the 4 stroke might be dragging too much in result creating a V splash. There's been times were we have to raise the motor and might result in changing prop as well
