Which stat surprised you the most? For me it was the backhand volley, but makes perfect sense considering the pro's target that.

Amazing video. Very informative. Differences in between men and women actually add a lot of value to these statistics.

Thank you, very informative! It is interesting to calculate not only the last winning shot, but also what was before it and provoked the apponents to make a mistake or make an easier shot to attack.

Strongly agree that virtually all recreational players should watch womens games instead of mens games if the object is to learn sound padel strategy. I feel THE single most common mistake taht recreational padel players make is going for too much, which results in far too many errors. The objective should be to always force your opponents to win their points rather than just giving away points. Almost all matches on the recreational level are decided by who makes the fewest errors. And if you do take my advice and watch womens games, I recommend watching players like Ariana Sanchez or Marta Ortega. These are top players who play very very sound padel with very good technique. Nothing too fancy, just really good padel. If you watch more "flashy" players like Gemma Triay or Bea Gonzalez you might almost as well watch the mens, because what these players do is not easily replicated.

Always said us amateurs should watch and learn from the pro women! Less mistakes and lower risk than the Pro men.

Interesting findings! It would have been interesting with stats on how often different strokes were made. You mentioned the backhand volley for the men being targeted by the opponents, hence it might be why it's so high % of the errors made. But in relation to how many times they are forced to play the BH volley, it might be one of the safer shots. Anyway, just a thought to an already great video.

Incredible analysis! So interesting, glad you did a women's game, not helpful for me to know that the men use a X3 smash winner, I can't hit it!

Yeh exactly it’s good to watch the women’s to see other ways they win the point

Maybe, a deeper study could be, what is the previous shot for the winners and for the mistakes-

Great analysis ! Any points from the serve / missed returns ?

Thanks Pete, and yeh, but a very small amount. I counted them as errors for the forehand or backhand groundstroke, as no serve was a “winner” , the pro always got the ball back but sometimes hit the net or long . These only accounted for a very small amount

This depends a lot about the conditions of the court, if a court is slow even men get a lot more of their winners from viboras/bandejas and much lower percentage come from the smash

I’d like to know about the bajada how many mistake it causes because I think it causes more volley backhand errors than winners
