only difference can truly be heard on the acapella rather than over the actual record so... JR for the win.
Nice review...
The most notable thing about this video is the introduction of a new genre “Cuddlecore” … thanks for the comparison. 47 def more cuddly than the jr!
Lovely! Did you record the examples in an untreated or treated room (I could not really guess)?
Thanks Smith awesome Mic comparison and great video. Next time please just do a full take on the vocals on the song and swap for the other mic. Running them both inbtween does not really do it for me. Again awesome and great comparison. Thumbs up.

Hi Ed could you tell me between the wa47jr and the lewitt lct440 pure which one would be a better choice for a do it all mic?
What type of acoustic treatment do you use? Like name brand? I'm looking for buy some. Also if you had to choose between a warm audio 47jr vs blue baby microphone which would you go with?

Here is a link - amzn.to/3OT9wRT Regarding the microphones, I would personally go with the WA47Jr... the overall package is just better at the moment. I just got this mic in but I am looking for some extra gear, what are some analog items that you would suggest starting with? I’ve never divulged into analog equipment as far as compressing, etc, goes.

Don't know if you are still looking, but GAP Comp 2A is amazing!
4:09 “with your heart against my chaiste, your lips pressed to my naiik.” Beautiful. The Jr version translates everything super accurately. I’m sold. The bigger version is great but i’m not sure it’s $600 better. Especially in a thick mix. If you make acoustic records with 2 mics, spend that extra money, it’s more crucial. But let’s be honest most people already have a wall of dumb EDM or distorted guitar going. The Jr would sound basically identical in a final mix, in those cases. Most people can literally use an SM58 and it sounds fine because the surrounding instruments rob the vocal of all its subtle character. Most heavy rock or EDM tracks can use a $125 mic and sound almost identical in a mix with a competent engineer. It’s only when one mic really carries the weight that it’s crucial to use an extremely high-quality mic.

@@inkognitomusic1956 dry is exactly what you want for critical vocal mixing imo. as for muffled either you're using it incorrectly (using cheap mic shield, too close, improper positioning) or you lack the knowledge to properly equalize. the sound signature is incredibly easy to work with on 99% of the vocals ive ever had. in reference the tlm 103 which is essentially the most popular prosumer vocal microphone has an extreme similar frequency response, if you put a high shelf around 3-4k and up the gain it sounds like the same mic.

4040 by a long shot,,, keep in mind though they all sound significantly different from each other but with similar tones, some sound fat some sound thin, some have a smooth top end and some have a brighter top end, if you get the right one you’re set! , I love them more then the 4050 which is another 600 bucks extra, they beat out my akg 414s, all of the warm audios I’ve tried ,,, which is every single one of them, ( don’t go for warm audio mics they should only cost a fraction of what they are priced for)
Singing tone inspired by pessenger ? 😊❤

@@sunnyjohnlouis4843 the TLM102 is very direct, very modern pop sound. It has sort of a "close mic" vibe with lots of presence. It has a good resolution without any obvious resonances. It sounds like a very expensive microphone. It is a bit of a one trick pony for me. The Warm also sounds very well but is a bit smoother. It will not get annoying on harsh instruments (think violin) but it will require more work to get vocals just right in post but I consider it more versatile. It has less bite, but you can do almost anything with it. I've had outstanding results with the warm and female vocals. In recent days I even prefer the big brother, the WA-47 (with the tube) over the U87Ai on some rap/hiphop voices. The Wa-47 jr. is not far away from it. Any questions feel free to ask

Sweetwater is horrible, bought an SSL 12 and hated it and went with a Neve interface. They tried not refund the tax of the first purchase and then wouldn't follow up with me when after I bought a more expensive item. Guess they got that commission. Anyways, had to get my credit card company involved and opened up a dispute. Would never and will never buy something from that bullshit company again.

Nice video. I wish singes of today would stop intentionally mis-enunicationing basic words. You basically lose your uniqueness by sounding just like everyone else. Chest pronounced at chaaay-st at 4:14 is an example. Please stop it today's singer. Be your OWN voice. Stop being wannabees and create your own thing

If these crappy knockoffs last twelve months you are doing well . Which is better value ? A onock off that lasts a year and costs $900? Or a neumann that lasts a lifetime and costs $3000 ? Be smart . Don’t buy these crappy knockoffs BUY QUALITY !
