Love how you 3D printed a bulb socket just for presentation.
In the past I was using cheap leds from china. Thought that it’s not worth to pay 8-10 times more for Osram LEDs. These chine ones were flickering, turning off. But since I bought first Osram set 4 years ago…… I forgot about changing led. I’ve changed cars and motorbikes and the same set I bought 4yrs ago is still with me, working flawlessly. I have total of 12pcs of Osram w5w and all of them are still working as position lights, license plates lights, interior.
I am using philips and osrams for exterior lighting and chinese stuff for the interior. the interior lights are only one for seconds or minutes so so far this mix of good brands and chinese stuff has worked well for me.
I'm using the philips over a year now and no problem. For my reg plate I use aukito brand similar like bulb p. Keep up the good work! Bafta :).

First! 🎉 Gotta buy some H4 LED replacements soon, myself. Something to note W5W in US/Canada is the 168/194 bulb, might help expand the viewership base.

Dude. This is such a great test. Excellent methodology, very well done!
Awesome as usual! =D I allways look forward to your reviews. :)
15:42 nice 3D-printed podium! Excellent review! Thank you!
This is exactly the video i had been looking for for many years. Thanks Sergio.
Super quality and work put in to this video. Subscribed👍
Sweet and to the point, explaining clearly all the steps and precautions to your review giving a reason why.. please don’t stop, you’re very good at what you are doing 😊
Thanks ,for making this kind of test. I'm using Neolux model ,for about 4 years, in my headlights. Still running grate.
Thank you Sergiu, very nicely done. I must say I think you are the best and most complete at what you do.
Thank you man, awesome video. You even included Dutch top brand Philips! Your extended and consistent testing methods are top notch. Keep doing that!
good job man 👍🏼, thank you for this great video.
Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho! Obrigado por dividir seu grande conhecimento técnico!
I’ve been waiting for this video for a long time! Nice video! By the way: the brighter the better, my choice is led D! 😄
its awesome comparison! thanks, i really appreciate the video 🤘🏻
M using Philips Ultinon 4200K LED T10 12964 since 2012 to till date in my VW Polo. 10 years 💯 Still shining bright.
I love your Videos, so interesting and technical accurate! Keep it up buddy ;)
Great content. Thank you for spending your time and money to help me decide which bulbs to use.
This was great! Been looking to replace my T10 bulbs on my running lights. This was a huge help. Thank you Sergio, -Luis

Great video as always! I'd like to see a test between different D1S Xenon products from Osram and Philips. :)
Again, a most rewarding test. Very comprehensive.
Amazing and detailed review, thank you very much
I am from Germany and just found your videos. I have never seen such great tests. Thumbs up and subscription is out.
Thank you for your research! Helped a lot ❤
Great test! I am running osram 5000k in plate light for more two years, there are warranty four years and made in Taiwan, nice.
Nice video as always! Thanks!
I always enjoy your videos!
Great comparison, congrats! ❤️ *I've been using (LED B) for over 3 years and so far no problems!*
That settles it, I see some Hella LEDs in my future. I trust your testing methodology and conclusions as it seems very well thought out and executed.
Great video! I use the new Philips Ultinon Pro3000. They are excellent!
I really appreciate your video. I would have been grateful if I'd have had this before. 🤣 I chose Osram (over m-tech and Philips) because I wanted 6000k standing light and wasn't sure about m-tech. In direct comparison between the two big brands I've noticed that Osram is usually more color accurate and brighter. But it's good to know m-tech is an option.
Great video, thanks for sharing the knowledge
Good timing haha. I recently switched my number plate lights to Osram 0.5w leds. The old halogens must’ve gotten so hot that when I tried to remove the bulb from the housing, the housing clips were brittle and broke off. The plastic of the housing was bubbled up and turned slightly black as well. I replaced it
Your intense work is appreciated
Excellent! Thnak you and well done!
Well done Sergiu; excellent scientific evaluation! Cheers from Washington State, 🇺🇸
This is a fantastic channel and your efforts are very much appreciated. It's certain to grow steadily as more people discover it. I do think you are putting in extra time and making your videos worse with the currently popular sound effects. Being startled or distracted by sudden noises does not help us absorb the information you're giving us. The blast of air sound which is now everywhere is particularly annoying. You can blaze a new path by walking away from this fad.

Thank you Jozsef! To be honest, every time I'm working on a video and the time comes to add the sound, I remember your comments about the sound effects 😂 Every time! I'm sorry that you find it distracting and please believe me that I always reduce the sound level very low on that effect, mostly because of what you told me. It's at -20dB and I can barely hear it... am I going deaf? I tried to remove it, but in my opinion it's better to leave it in. If more viewers complain about it, I will remove it.

@@SergiuGabor I didn't realize I was repeating myself, so sorry for nagging. The issue is the sudden, abrupt onset. I've generally lived on main streets with loud cars, trucks and motorcycles going by and I don't even notice them. If someone bursts a balloon behind us, we generally jump but with the whooshing air blast sound, it just represents the onset of a sudden mechanical issue requiring immediate attention in my head that I have to mentally dismiss and that's the distraction. (Maybe I just need a new head!) Do remember Shakespeare talking about painting the lily. Perfection does not require embellishment. No one else is providing this important information and it's not about entertainment value although your sense of humor is wonderful. ;-)
Great video, as allways. Led P seems god for the boot
Felicitari pt organizare si profesionalismul studiului. Chinezariile au inceput sa devina mai bune si chiar si aceste no-name uri dau rezultate bune, atat timp cat nu cumperi cel mai ieftin produs, conversia pe led poate fi o reusita.

Great video series (with all the types of led lights used in the car). Is that (most powerful) LED light at the end of the video maybe - X-7Seven Apollo Ultra?
Motorcycle stuff would be great, keep up the good work, best youtuber in this category.
Great timing for a video, I'm currently looking for the right bulb for my purpose
Great review, thanks.
Great video again. 👍

Everybody looks at headlights quality, but W5W lights are overlooked. You did quality job and everything is clearly explained. Thank you!
Good stuff. Wanned to see these W5W till I order my Aliexpress special. THX!
I've bought LED D and it awesome for trunk's light. Excellent light output
I recently swapped 7 W5W incandescent bulbs that camera with my corolla cross. Fortunately I purchased OSRAM, and now with your video I can confirm that I made a good choice. Just subscribed, your testing methodology and information is super helpful !

any error on your dash?
This video is just the push I needed to make a decision. A reputable car lighting guy recommended Osrams or Philips if I couldn’t get the Osrams. The prices have kept me away since my car takes 15 W5W bulbs. Seeing your video with more real world info opposed to opinion or sales pitch coupled with a sale on the Osram 6000k bulbs sealed the deal. $55 for eight 2-packs vs $112 for the Philips. Thanks for this and your other videos.
Excellent review. 👍 Thank you. I will be glad to meet you. I am Alexander from Kazakhstan. 🤝
Great video, thanks
Neat. I purchased an LED tail light that got so hot it melted the lens bracket.

Excellent video. I loved your well documented but also humorous approach. Side note, for the record, I am not using LED lights in my 2001 old car, I like the old vintage look of incandescent little lamps. All these years, only one failed.
Best KZread tests with simple English. I use many philips w5w over than 3 years now with out any problem. What you pay, that you get.
Great Job, thank you
Perfect test thank you I would appreciate a summary of all the tests in 1 pop-up with OK and Fail. I had a problem finding the strongest light bulb that passed all the tests: D

I clicked back and forth about 100 times to find the test on the right line. And when the light bulb failed, I looked for another one again and again...
thank u very much, master !!!! from thailand
i have philips x-tremeultinon led bulbs for around 7 years and they've been in 3 different cars over these years but still working to this day same bulbs
I am running four LED H (red version) in my 2020 VW e-up! since 1.5 years now and they work perfectly fine ever since, they stay cool and are light, so they do not fall into the lamp housing caused by shocks and vibrations, like some heavier bulbs tend to do over time. They do not even trigger a CANBUS warning, which I was honestly suprised of.
@13YTe
2 жыл бұрын
LED H 3 years of usage without any problems... they shine 3 times more that incandescent bulb, they are cold enough to be safe, they don't broke easy on the headlight housing... they are not the brightest but they are good enough for this application.

Is that W5W, can you send me a link?
nice. i bought Narva-styled T10 for $.3 a piece from xstorm. they're non-polarity and performed quite okay after i removed the "canbus" resistors. half of the power were wasted into heat. it's true that most of the time, the driver would went out first. i had 1156 6 Cree XBD LED that was died after 4yrs of use. turns out it was the MLCC shat itself taking the bridge rectifier with it. it works fine after i removed the MLCC and replaced the rectifier.
Thank you very much sir!
Very informative
Another trap for the unwary: Some T10 LED housings (G, I, J, N, O) have alloy sides either as a heat-sink or for cosmetic reasons. These may be a problem in some vehicles. In my case, a 2006 Subaru Outback. The front park light holder has metal contacts that go up beside the bulb. They would short out on a T10 LED with an alloy base.
Great reviews you always make. Came here specifically for the canbus test of these but apparently they all failed. I tried many lamps before and all gave canbus error for license plate lights. Not sure how to create nice white light for my license plate as the full replacement lamps are too bright and coding did not work.
Great video
Thanks for making the video Sergiu! Why is it so difficult to make a product according to spec... I guess the generic manufacturers just buy what's available for the lowest cost and run with it. That's why I try to stick to the (better) known brands where possible.
Since two years I use led W5W VISION brand (blue/silver V letter in black hexagon or white V in blue as logo). They make many models of W5W bulbs from simple ones with resistors only to complex with full drivers. And I am very content. Some of them even have "CAN" (bank of resistors).
Finally!!!!! Thanks thanks thanks x 10000!!!!! ,😃😃😃😃
I noticed MAXGTRS lights pop up on your post. Nearly every BAY15 light I have bought from them failed in a few months and their tail/brake lights (like most others) do not have have enough brightness definition between tail and stop. The only MAXGTRS BAY15 that have lasted were two white lights I used for reverse lights. The only good thing about them is they come in a nice box 🤦
Well done!
Good test
The best T10 bulbs I have used are the Morimoto, if I maybe want something cheaper I use Auxito, they give off that pure white color.
I use the filament bulbs H in position and licenseplate lamps with a resistor cable. They are most similar to regulary glow bulbs, but brighter and whiter.
If you ever come back to this, add in brands like Morimoto and such too! Love the tests and the efficiency test from the other video would be great here too!
Awesome Work! Imo you should start your own Led company - since you have great knowledge and know where Most LEDs Fall short. Imagine having a Brand where you can ONLY buy cheap, robust and Safe Led bulbs... Heaven
Thank you
nice work, you help me a lot . i was about to burnmyself in aliexpress lol
Hi Sergiu 👋 I like this channel because you have the same headlights as my Skoda Octavia vRS estate 2011 I just brought but I find the dipped beam isn't as bright as i would like it to be in projector form. I've watched all of your videos on bulbs and saw you liked the x-Apollo 77 LED, Please could you tell me the best light configuration for this car. thanks :)
It'd be interesting to see the Osram Adbanced also, since you only tested the Basic. Also, the 3030 version of the one-sided, which is often sold under "Kalada", as you only tested the 3016 version.
Amazing as usual! Still waiting for Bi-LED test videos. :)
Do you have any Impression on the so called canbus T10 leds that have built in resistors? I've heard some stories about melted sockets as the resistors are located at the bottom part of the led where it makes contact with the socket, so I don't feel like taking the risk, but I drive VAG car like you and I'm tired or these error lights :)
Many thanks for this :D. By the way, I am really upset that everything didn`t pass the CANBUS test.

@@Ulven3829 Yes, it's a network that controls all the creature comfort crap they stick on cars these days. It's been in use in various forms for better than 20 years now. I love the way one module going south causes problems in all the others. Totally not needed.
I think depending on the application: some LED bulbs deserve more credit, than they get. What's wrong with LED S? Based on the tests in this video, I decided to order a pair for my license plate lights. They have similar light output as the Osram, and are both small in size. So they would fit perfectly in the license plate lights. How bright do you want the bulbs to be? 11lux vs 38lux is already 3.5 times as bright, which is plenty of brightness for license plate lights.
Hello Sergiu, I congratulate you for your analysis of LED lamps, really very good. Unfortunately in my country we do not have a variety of brands to buy T10 LED. I have a motorcycle and I wanted to change T10 indicators for Chinese T10 LEDs similar to the F or Q model in your review. When removing the incandescent T10 I found 2 of 3.4W and 2 of 1.7W (I thought they were all the same). My question is if the 0.6W OSRAM will have more illumination than the T10 3.4 or 1.7W? In your lighting test you did not include the T10 incandescents. Thanks and good job.
Goodjob
hi you are awesome ! can you please do this w/ 1156 and 1157 bulbs ! thx !
Out of LED J and M-Tech, which one would you use for interior? I am looking for most natural neutral white, I have philips now which are good, but slightly to the green side.
Fanstastic !
Hello there Will u recommend buying all Auxito branded LEDs for my car? It's a 2006 MK4 Golf
What are you thinking about Maxgtrs products?
You should test more Auxito brand bulbs. They're a very good brand and never ad a canbus error with them
hi mr gabor👋, have you tried snow chains on snow socks as i commented on that video?? 😂
FYI, I think OSRAM are marketed as Sylvania in the US and their Zevo line is the better one. I have purchased a few of these in different colors and they are are still going strong.
