Been going to Turkey since 1996 at least once a year, I have stayed in many hotels in both marmaris and icmeler both large and small and the Turkish people are fantastic hosts and so hard working and I'm pleased and privileged to call many my friends, Always guaranteed a fantastic reception and they will go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing holiday,

Was in Icmeler in 2019, this was the last time we visited Turkyie. Brought the memories flooding back , thanks Mick and Trudie. Cycled from Icmeler to Marmaris one day.

Marmaris is one of the most beautiful places on earth. When I saw first time I fell in love with Marmaris

We went to Marmaris and Icmiler this summer, was wonderful! But for us definetly Icmiler was more hmm private and better. We went to Tikki Beach club and we loved it! Great service, food and drinks! Beach was clean and you feel very comfortable with your own sunbed. Already missing Turkey!

In 2000, I was assigned at Incirlik and Karatas doing environmental cleanup up for the US Air Force. Met a lovely girl named Meltem, and swept her off her feet. We honeymooned from Iskenderun to Daca. A month of sheer bliss with Marmaris one of its jewels. Oh the stories. We’re now 21 years older but look the same as the day we were married, thanks to the waters of Pamukale. And we love each other more each day. Hello and God bless you from New Orleans LA! I was born in Marmaris and I'm living in Marmaris as well U are speaking Turkish very well it's so cute greetings from Marmaris everyone

This summer it is 40 years ago that I spent my first holiday in Turkey here. There were only houses at the coast - and Ic,meler was a village with one big hotel where we stayed: MARTI (seagull) was its name. They did not even have a pool at that time. We were blessed to make friends with two young waiters from DALYAN ❤️ After visiting their village together and experiencing a warm welcome by their families this place became our "second home" where we spent every holiday for many years. We even learnt basic Turkish here in Germany to be able to communicate with the most friendly hosts we ever had in the Mediterranean aerea. And I am sure I will love Turkey until I take my last breath ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It was at the martı hotel disco in 1988 🤠 there was only the old town in Marmaris they had started to build hotels down the coast and I remember the outdoor cinema with plastic chairs 🤣

were of to turkey in a few week the 24th june to be exact . its by far my fav holiday destination along with egypt adore marmaris and icemeler every year we have come back bar obviously during lockdown . may even look at buying an apartment here .

Still extremely recognisable from a visit to the area a couple of decades ago, though as I went in the last week of the season it was relatively quiet and everything was rock bottom in price. Surprisingly I spotted the hotel we stayed in in Marmaris. I did not recognise the restaurant names but it was lovely to see the ones in the harbour area. Desperately sad to see the forests gone, the hills were dotted with beehives back then and further inland the villages and eateries were lovely. Did every single trip we could, and went to and from Marmaris to Ichmelar by water taxi, used the dolmus for other smaller journeys. The best holiday we ever had, even though we were probably not the usual type of holiday maker even at that time. Absolutely loved the Turkish people and the fact that Marmaris was then a fully working town in its own right and not just a resort. I hope it is still like that. It would be really nice if you included any kind of accessibility possibilities or warnings. I would love to visit again, but I am a powerchair user now. Most disabled people would like to have a range of options and not just use a all inclusive resort hotel, but get to see a bit more.

returned from icmeler last week . been going for nearly 30 years . love the place . marmaris is too mental for me . i stayed at the faber apartments . great staff . deffo go back next year .

it is all down to taste . marmaris is cheaper for meals and drinks and so on , because of competition . but it is so big and busy . icmeler is small and compact and a hell of a lot quieter .

Icmeler, as a Turk, is like a well-kept secret for me. when you're there, it stuns you with its beauty and quaintness. Marmaris is a short ride away, so if you really want, you can enjoy the city too!

Turunc, is also very nice and not so big. Or you go to less busy places like Bozburun for example... 😉

Is icmeler have enough bars for a couple of drinks on a night. We're 57 so no 18 to 30s lol 😊

Lived 14 years here. Definitely worth it.

Another great video from the Two Of You! The resort areas certainly are modern in every aspect! I always marvel at how little the swimming pools seem to be use, though. I guess the tourists are off exploring. Thank you so much!

Turunc Hotels are excellent Mick. I preferred going there than MARMARIS or ICMELER! Turunc is nice and quiet and great hotel complex just to rest! The secret bay as I call it... I was there in july and took a taxi to the hotel but you can get the small bus too from the small bus station in Marmaris as it`s a lot cheaper..Yes the forest fire on the way made the journey a little spooky. I believe the woodland will recover eventually.... Great videos Keep them coming...

We have beautiful memories of them both 20/30 years ago. We just loved them when they were just Turkish Villages!! We still take a trip for a couple of days from Dalyan where we have our base. We were there 3 weeks ago, and going again in September. Love both resorts but prefer Icmeler, we go twice a year. Thanks for another great video, really entertaining and informative.

Going to Içmelir and Marmaris in just under 4 months with my girlfriend. Brilliant advice! Was stumped on what to expect but you’ve certainly helped.

Love Içmeler been 14 times and have many friends there never have bad holiday.

We have followed you both for sometime, especially during lockdown. You films have been a ray of sunshine during an awful time. Just watched your new one whilst staying in Icmeler ourselves! Quality it reminds us of the old Judith Chamers ‘wish you were here’. Currently in marmaris for the second time PROS: amazing fresh food, amazing weather, great prices, everything you need is here shops bars restaurants supermarkets CONS: you can’t walk along the beach without every single shop trying to persuade you to come in and can be very pushy! It can put u off going a walk. This is a big head ache if it wasn’t for this I would have no cons Best restaurant we have tried is DEMIR next to the green nature diamond, we have tried many food places and this blows the lot out the water

This behavior is not only done to foreigners, but also to Turks. They see every tourist as a potential customer and that is a very bad attitude. The Turkish State has enacted a law that includes penalties for such behavior. But unfortunately it is not implemented.

An absolutely brilliant review! It covers all the beautiful aspects of the three resorts, which we also visited. We also stayed at Elite World on our second visit. Your videos are superb! Me and my family are big fans of Turkiye and we've had all our holidays for 15 years now, only by car, just to visit as a much as we can.

Içmeler every time! Stayed at the Hotel Aqua in June, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it. We walked alone the coast path to Marmaris one evening, I thought we’d ended up in Blackpool! I’m now resigned to the fact that my days of youth are very much behind me and I’m firmly routed in middle age! 😂 My other half (Turkish,) introduced me to your channel, your videos make me feel like you and Trudie are friends! 😊 Good luck with the renovations from not so sunny Burton on Trent. Your critic of Elite World was spot on. Very comfortable with an amazing staff. They also have an ice cream/pizza bar for lunch or afternoon snacks.
