Love Turkey...3 Months there last year... Truly hurt to see the damage this year😢But it's a vibrant young diverse real economy and so many products made in Turkey...One day something small in Balat Istanbul and something bigger in Ankara...Wonderful Airports.. Ankara Train rail high speed is amazing...Coast is cute..Bless you guys..Bless Turkiye 😊

Just wanted to say thank you Mick and Trudie for making me fall in love with Fethiye. I watched alot of your videos during the lockdowns in 2021 and me and my husband decided to fly over from Australia with the kids to stay there a while till the lockdowns ended here. We fell in love with Fethiye so quickly. So much so that we bought a house there! And thank God just in the nick of time before prices boomed. We started renovating our home as soon as we bought it while we were still renting our villa in Çaliş. The renovation took about 8 months to complete, but only because we had to get the kids back to Australia for schooling, so we were trying to organise renovations from here. We were desperately hoping to put down roots in Fethiye but unfortunately there were no schools that accommodated english speaking students. We are back in Australia but our hearts are still in Türkiye. I have to admit it hurts me sometimes knowing other ppl are renting my home while i am wishing we were there : (

Even though I'm in my 30s, I'm having a hard time renovating my house, which is maybe one-fourth the size of your house. I admire your energy.

That looks fantastic! Lovely to have you back on our screens, we have missed you both. Must say though…… we have not laughed so much with Trudie’s blunder…. Priceless xx

Çok güzel oldu. It was unfortunate that you had to renovate at a time when very high price increases were made for construction materials. However, I can say that the value of your home is increasing very quickly.

Exactly, the value of this house increased highly with this wonderful renovation.

Mick a tip for wallpaper which is dark colour, before you cut, get a pencil same or as close as you can to the main colour and colour in the white ends, the joins are much less visible, I’d get a pencil now and carefully colour in the gaps Trudy has spotted.

Like always fun to watch and very well documented. I found your channel 4 years ago when I started looking into Turkey for a possible move and all your videos helped a lot. All in all the same year I bought a place in Mahmutlar and last summer I moved here from Canada and never looked back. I just hope things will stabilize a bit and the local population would be able to live a better life. Aside from this very happy with my decision 😎

This is probably the most amazing renovation project I have ever watched. You converted a dublex into a single and completely changed the layout. Bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, living room all look wonderful after the remodel. Carpet is generally not common in Turkey especially in warmer climates, but it looked super comfortable and soft under your feet. Mike and Trudie you are a force of nature and all the hassles and stress will be nice memories in your beautiful house. I am looking forward to seeing more videos from you. A big congratulations !!! Also looking forward to hearing how that guitar sounds, perhaps something from Steve Howe...
