    I suggest you offset your precious metals and get into digital stocks, Downturns as bad it can be, provides good buying opportunities in the markets and it can also create volatility giving great short time buy and sell opportunities too. This is not financial advise but get buying, cash isn’t king at all in this time!

    Gold and silver are considered a safe haven during times of economic uncertainty. They are also considered as a hedge against inflation. However, investing in gold and silver should be done with caution and after careful research. It is important to understand the market trends and do your due diligence before investing in gold and silver. It is also important to diversify your portfolio and not put all your eggs in one basket.

    I once used my gold bullions and bitcoin to make a deposit on a rental property. I'm glad I saved up some bullions to get it done. I don't mind liquidating my invested gold if it's for an emergency or a project. I will continue to constantly accumulate gold as long as I can, throughout history it has been something of great financial importance even in times of downward economic spiral. I admire silver but not yet among my collectibles. My advice to new investors is; Set goals and find out about the type of investment you are interested in, find a financial advisor on the way. I started small and amassed almost $1 million with the help of one.

    Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you’re investing into can’t make good use of that capital. So if you’re trying to invest into businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they’re returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It’s not much different from bond investing. The way I see it if you have a $1 million at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...

    It's not difficult, but you have to learn and handle. Another thing is that if you can't manage your home, maybe you shouldn't invest on your own. Gold will go further up as risk in paper value is very high or inflation (losing value - all govt in a world printing money). Currently its stuck at around 2000 $ oz. Primary reason gold is not going up as dollar is generating more return due to high interest rate in US (currency swap gets benefits). As soon as Fed will start interest rate cuts, gold will start jumping to new high (like it did from 2009 to 2011).

    U buy gold for an emergency situation and if you want to flee the country....say there's something wrong in India, like war with some country(hope not), then what will you do if the Indian government freezes your SGB that you invested in for that pathetic extra 2-3% returns just cuz u were greedy?....So just buy physical gold(could also buy gold coins if u want to cut down on the making charges if ur doin purely for investment purpose) and make ur wife/gf happy!

    Eventhough gold prices increases, buying physical gold is lot riskier cause there are taxes involved there plus you will have to store in a locker and stress whatnot and in comparison buying SGB doesn't makes sense cause if govt increases inflation then SGB will also go down bcoz it is backed by govt not by "real gold". Investing in equities is the best paper option.

  • @kiranvootori8101

    @kiranvootori8101

    @@atulkrjha Difference between real asset and paper asset is, value of paper asset can be brought down by government without even touching your asset. For example, they can include stocks of shell companies into Nifty 50. You and me as retail investors wouldn't even know about it until someone exposes it. On the other hand, if you buy physical gold, store it in locker only risk you have is someone breaking into bank. Howmany instances have you come across like that in news? And don't tell me that you don't have family jewellery have not rented a bank locker to keep them safe. As far as SGB is concerned. Your maturity amount is based on gold price on the date of maturity. You can always use the maturity proceeds to buy physical gold. How is that inferior to physical gold. Unless you are thinking about government defaulting it's bond repayments. And that's the risk one needs to take for the additional 3% that SGB yields. It's a completely different issue if inflation is at 100% per day and gold price has doubled from the date of maturity and date of buying physical gold. I don't think we are discussing about such scenarios here.

    Insightful video. But you missed a couple of points - 1. Gold prices are typically inversely corelated to dollar index ( or strength of dollar). So if/when Fed start cutting rates the dollar index could fall further and Gold could go further up though not in an exponential manner as we saw recently. 2. Gold prices in India doesn't exactly move as the international prices (if you check the history). Off course its directly corelated but not one to one, as in when the international price falls the domestic price may not fall at the same rate, infact it has even stayed stagnant at times when internationally price was falling !!

    Obviously, stocks will do better long term. My only fear is the inflation. The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. The banks can't be making money off my money, while inflation eats into it. I have set aside $93,000 to invest in the stock market now, since that keeps up with inflation, but I don't know how to get started.

    Yes, truly, investing in the market, even if it's just the S&P 500, can keep up with inflation, because the growth rate of stocks will always exceed the inflation rate. But if you don't have the courage, you could just invest with a financial advisor, which even has greater return on investments, while securing your investment against losses.

Also i am told that countries like China India and Gulf countries are cutting down on US treasury bonds. Also India is no longer using dollar for trade as many as 30 countries. Of course Russia and China were already ahead of us in ditching dollar. Even countries like Argentina Bangladesh Malaysia also stopped using dollar for their trade. So US can go on printing dollars, but who wants it ? So demand of US dollar should be at an all time low and should go down further. So far I have gone by your arguments and people like Palki Sharma and a host of others. But when i was looking at the dollar exchange rate, rupee was on a two month low and Chinese Yuan on a seven month low. Who is buying all these dollars?🤔

    First of all, its no Fiasco. It was declared in 2016 itself that 2k rupee note is temporary. Banks have been absorbing them for past few years .. and when only a few of them are left, government has given the 30 September date to get them exchanged. You can easily deposit as many as you have in your account with limit of 20k per day! Why would it effect economy in any way? 😂🤣

    I think gold is very valuable asset if srilanka Ukraine like situation develops in the country with significant devaluation of currency equity .Gold is an universal currency.Can be carried with you when suddenly you have leave your home in situations like civil war.. Government can control all assets , even real estate ,by making some draconian laws if some autocratic government decides so..Gold can be hidden somewhere in such circumstances..I think..

    If you think you can outsmart the Government with your physical gold .. you're underestimating the Govt . If currency can be demonetized, Government can anyday, crack its whip on the undeclared solid gold. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

    I think we're midstream in both markets. We're halfway up in metals and halfway down in Stocks. Maybe a third of the way down in stocks. But still it's always hard to change horses in midstream. I don't know why people haven't completely exited bitcoin
