Despite already having an iPad 9, I always watch videos like this because I always wonder how people think the base model compares to the more expensive options. I'm very happy with my base model iPad and it was the perfect fit for what I needed it for, and I'm sure that people who needed the more expensive options will love their iPads. I love how Apple powers their chips to the point where even the weakest chips in a lineup will allow their products to last for years. For anyone using any type of iPad, I hope everyone is enjoying the experience, I know after 5 months (so far) I am still enjoying the heck out of using my iPad 9

I have a iPad mini 6 and I love the portability factor. I don’t have to worry about carrying a big bag and it’s lightweight. If I need a bigger screen, I’ll just use my MacBook Air.

@@chicagofan4eva23 well the guts are the same as the entry level iPad, so most apps won’t perform much better. It’s really just a form factor question. I jumped from the 4, and it was mostly as I didn’t want to buy another Apple Pencil for the 5 when I have an iPad Pro. I have the 6 and it’s a massive jump, and I can switch pencils. I was surprised how many apps were optimised for it as I expected a bunch of black bars on the side for apps, but besides some games, most my apps stretched for it. You won’t regret it if you upgrade, but fundamentally you not missing out on much of you want to save some cash.

Watching this after I got my 11” iPad Pro 512GB. You don’t think you need 120hz screen until you get one. I mostly use it for gaming, content consumption on long trips and also journaling. I also can’t stress it enough how cool is it to use this thing as an extension screen for my m1 mbp when traveling into different countries for longer periods of time. That being said, when choosing an iPad, consider also other apple devices you have, consider the experiences you might get, and what can you achieve.

I chose the cellular version bc we can’t get Wi-Fi, well it’s so very very bad, it’s useless. We had to get a booster just to get cellular signal. We use our hotspots to be able to watch tv with Roku. So having cellular connection was essential. Which is also why a pad with a keyboard case was the option for a laptop, MacBooks don’t come with a cellular option.

I’ve been saving up as much money as I can for an iPad Mini 6. It’d make my life so much easier in terms of portability with the work I’m doing on sets and whatnot. My alternative is either trying to make it all work from the phone or busting out my MacBook 😂 So close to getting one though!

@@MatthewVlossak I honestly think I’ll just get the base model 64 GB on cellular. I do a lot of work on different film sets so keeping all the info with me where ever I go is important regardless of WiFi. I would consider the higher storage options but realistically all the video work I do is on my laptop so the mini would moreso be for documents and whatnot, which are low in file size and often get uploaded to the cloud either way

@@ItsJohnnyRome I ended up getting the 64gb cellular model for the same reasons! I used to work in the film industry and now in the music industry. So I too do a lot of work on-the-go. The iPad is PERFECT. It fits my needs and is my daily driver. Couldn’t be happier! Only used 16gb so far and that’s with all the apps I use on my MacBook Air as well.

Hey Chris, I’m currently typing this on my brand new iPad Pro (with Paperlike of course) but I have a couple questions. As a law student, I put heavy use on my computers. Switching from my M1 MacBook, I knew battery life wouldn’t be the same but the iPad seems to die pretty quickly. Any tips on extending battery life of the iPad? Also, I’ve noticed that while connected to a charger the iPad gets pretty hot. Is that something you’ve experienced as well? Thanks!

Great video, as always. Not sure why YT has deprioritized you from my feed and I now have to search for you before I can watch. I’ve found the pricing ladder around the storage quite annoying with the current line-up, so I’ve chosen to stick with my OG IPP until the Air gets more options.

So with that i am undecided if i should go for ipad pro with 128 or the ipad air 5 with 256 gb since their price have a very small difference. Which is much better to buy? should i wait for an M2 ipad pro? Thanks 😁
