    Jagannath ji is the real foodie so are Odias. His daily menu has 56 Bhog. In Odisha there is a festival called Byanjana Dwadashi. Its the festival of curries. Devoties offer 821 types of Odia curries to Lord Jagannath. If in Odisha that many dishes are there now imagine the whole India how many dishes will be there. Jai Jagannath 🙏🙏

    The only chef i think who is atleast giving importance to north eastern cuisines. Otherwise we are an unexplored world altogether. Thank you very much chef. It's also because of him Nayanjyoti of our Assam got recognised.

    @@malayaranjansahu7650 ok but i am a woman. And i don't follow youtubers that much so may be don't know that much ki kya ho raha ya nahi. But when someone like Chef Vikas mentions it then that is really a very big thing you know.Because to be honest I don't think there are that many restaurants providing assamese food abroad. In India there are many but not abroad I guess. So for someone like chef Vikas mentioning our cuisine which has the potential to be international is quite something. 🙏

    Jagannath Puri has really some divine energy which attracts spiritual ppl to it. The food and sweets at Jagannath Puri tastes heavenly because it's cooking method is different. The utensils are all made of natural soil. And Odisha's rice are superb in taste.

    God(Vishnu) wakes up at Rameshwaram, eat at Puri, play at Dwarka and sleep at Badrinath......4 dham of India ....so food is special at Puri, Odisha.

    I loved what he said about keeping ur accent original & authentic. I live in CA since 12 yrs & thankfully my acccent hasn't changed 😄.Also, he is right about butter chicken still being the most popular Indian food.But baby steps it is👍

    Thank you Ranveer for this podcast. This was my multi course meal. 1 I'm a big big fan of MY cuisine. 2 where ever in world I go I make sure to eat at 1 Indian restaurant. Thank you Chef Vikas Khanna. This was like blast of flavors podcast. I've been to Junoon. Loved the banana hot pepper chutney. Tried Chef Chintan Pandya's food & loved it. Recently had a chance to go to Indian accent & was mesmerized with the food. Thank you & to all the Chefs who have and are always doing the amazing work of bringing the Indian cuisine to the level it belongs & taking it further.     Come to Odisha Puri jagganath temple and you will find 256 items of jagganath ji without onion garlic...and taste is awesome ...you know only after testing those things.... From 1000 years this abadha Prasad is being made in jagganath mandir kitchen ...which is called as biggest kitchen of the world ❤️

    It’s true. People don’t know about Odia food much…. But it is one of the most foody state of India. Odia even don’t eat in normal day without 5specific dishes. As a normal routine. I am glad that you are knowing it lately.

    Ranveer please visit Jaganath ji temple, Puri and taste the 'mahaprasad', Rice,dal,curry and a lots of dishes that is offered to Lord Jagannath. For me it is the tastiest vegetarian food without onion and garlic. It is believed that Mahaprasad is prepared by Goddess Laxmi herself. Jay Jagannath 🙏

    Very honest guest. There are so many rare cusines in india which are awesome and better in taste and good for health but commercial viability is less due to not having much publicity/knowledge in public about them. In our country home food is eaten for health and outside food is eaten for taste.

    I invite Vikas khanna to sri krishna matt Udupi and taste the prasada lunch there. Sri krishna is called Anna Brahma in Udupi. It is the Jagannaath Puri of the south

    He studied in Udupi/Manipal and even recently he visited Krishna Mutt and he keeps posting the food from that region and he adores it. You should watch his other videos where he talks about delicacies from Udupi side.

    We are bengali baisnab nd in my home food always swatbik.no onion no garlic nd. My maa's cooking ahhhhh u just forgot everything. So in many part of india's home we do not even use onion garlic.❤

    INDIA itself is a world where the language, culture, clothing and food change after every 50 KM. There might be thousands of recipes that have died as old age chefs didn't shared apart from family. Still there is laks are left to be commercialised. All it need is a chef like him with a vision and passion. Rest all the top restaurants have so complicated specifications which are neither Indian and not western fit. I generally ask WHY and for WHOM you do this as most of the guest in the list are again INDIAN and can understand local and normal english language.
