This raises another important question. If these cases can survive such brutal, extreme and varied abuse (well done Dave), how come the guys at FedEx and UPS can do just as good a job of damaging the cases at times?

Well this answers my long time question. Going by this video... couriers deliver my packages underwater then dropped 20ft into a trailer, they miss the trailer, run over the book with the trailer, spill coffee over the book trying to pick it up, hit it with a hammer and then deliver it. Thanks David for this insightful video into the inner workings of the courier services. The more you know

Another great vid, Dave. CBCS is clearly the superior case. It's too bad the graded values don't reflect the quality. I won't be surprised if this video finds its way to some CGC and CBCS reps and stokes a little competitive fervor between the two companies.

Judging from the punctures on my packages, USPS, UPS and FedEx regularly hit packages with the forks of their forklifts at full ramming speed. 😤

I believe (possibly incorrectly) that the inner cases are never 100% airtight as a way to prevent condensation caused by the natural moisture of the book.

Just holding a modern cgc slab wrong it starts to squeak and groan under the weight of your hands alone so this really doesn’t surprise me. CBCS has felt more sturdy.

*_There's something you forgot and that is to put them in the freezer; then drop them._* *_"Who puts slabs in the freezer??" The airlines, it's below freezing in the planes that carry mail._* *_I remember an engineer on YT once talked about how bad the plastics were in these cases and how few ¢ more it would cost to actually make them stronger._* *_In all fairness, you should have also tried out PGX and EGS. I don't wanna be the one that has to take this burden and admit this; but EGS cases might be the strongest._*

Not sure how you could test this, but how do they do against fire? I'm not sure what such a test could prove. I did see a video about a cooler caught in, I think, a car fire and its contents survived. Even the ice. I was curious as to how graded comics in the same cooler might survive. I just forgot the name of the cooler. It was not cheap, but I think it was cheaper than a fireproof safe.

Doesn't look good for CBC, kind of feels like a back door endorsement for CBCS made from the son of a CBCS employee. Either way any drop on a hard surface drops the value of the comics by hundreds or thousands of $, that's some expensive plastic.
