Notches and cutouts in the screen for cameras are a terrible idea. I don't understand why Samsung keeps doing that. Why don't they just make proper bezels for the camera. Other manufactures make proper bezels just fine and Samsung started doing these cutouts and notches, they lost me as a customer.

I have a peculiar use case. The base Tab S9 is 11", which is a very common size for Android tablets. I'm getting on in years, and this size is just slightly too small for me to read the side tables in e-textbooks, small text in PDFs, or digital comics without a lot of pinching and zooming, which can be really inconvenient on a treadmill or elliptical machine. I bought the Tab S7+ and have been very happy with it. I can read small text in e-textbooks, PDFs, and digital comics without pinching and zooming. Plus, anything bigger than this would simply be too heavy for holding in my hands for long periods of time. I think the Ultra is really meant for tabletop use. I just don't think I could cradle it in my arms for long periods of time. I've been using Android tablets as a laptop replacement since the Galaxy Tab S2. As long as you're not doing anything too exotic, Android office apps are just fine for basic productivity. I've already pre-ordered the Tab S9+.

Maybe not so peculiar; it's my precise use case as well, LOL. I also have a Tab S7+. Out of curiosity, why are you replacing it? The model isn't that old, and I believe it's still receiving updates. It continues to function well for my purposes. Is that not the case for you?

I had the S8 Ultra and just found it way too big for what I needed in a tab. Now that the smaller form factor isn't a watered-down version and now have a factory keyboard, it makes the most sense for me. I paid just over $500 for my S8 Ultra and got $650 trade in credit and ended up paying just over $200 for the S9 and the keyboard cover.

The ultra problem isn't the bigness, but rather the aspect ratio isn't suitable at this size....a 4:3 would be more appropriate for the 14.7inch

Dude great review. Everyone's talking about the ultra, but the S9+ is really the middle ground that shines for me. It has the same CPU, GPU, 12GB RAM of the Base Model, Same Screen / hz / AMOLED 2x... and it still preserves some of the handheld / portable dynamic, rather than having it change to a desk, table top, lap, two handed dynamic. As an artist for me, bigger is not better. Especially since I have a primary workstation. I want portability and I get that with the S9+. I dont mind the slightly thicker bezel, all professional drawing tablets (like Wacom Citique) they always have huge bezels, because it acts as a palm rest, instead of your palm resting on edges. Also, do you happen to know if Canada has affiliate links too? I've only ever seen US ones.

Have pre-ordered the S9+ as it's a nice middle ground of a decent sized screen but not too unwieldy to travel with on a plane. Decent upgrade from my 2014 note 10.1 😅 Also got the smart book cover thrown in as a pre-order bonus and will probably look at a third party keyboard cover or foldable keyboard later.

Thank you for this! Ever since the base S9 is announced to have AMOLED I knew this lineup would be *the* ones to upgrade my Tab S6 Lite. The only dilemmas I had is that I really do enjoy the portability and small size of the Tab S6 Lite and I was worried if I'm still gonna sacrifice some specs if I choose the base model (which turned out not to be the case). I would probably still end up comparing which screen size I prefer between the S9 and S9+ in-person at Samsung stores though, I'm gonna miss the preorder deals but I rather wait than take the risk preordering for something I won't like 😅 Thanks so SO much again for making a simple and easy to follow breakdown and recommendation! I'll look forward to the S9 series keyboard reviews!

Hope you like it! I'm about to drop a review on my channel this week or next on the S9 Plus. It's definitely my favorite tablet of them all.

First of all let me tell you, I have followed you for a while without subscribing (mainly because I am less interested in phones), but I now finally decided to subscribe, there is too much good content to risk missing. Second, I am looking forward to your reviews and comparisons. Currently I have a S8 ultra 16GB RAM and I am debating whether to get the S9 ultra. Here where I live, the trade-in deals are not worth it, contrary to the USA, they give me less than $500 for my ultra, which I paid over $1400 for... but the rest of the deals are pretty sweet (they give you a free Book Cover keyboard, plus they increase the storage and give you an additional discount). I checked the S9 ultra in the store and indeed the kickstand does not fall like the S8 after a certain angle, but as you said, the back does not fit, it sticks well but the flap does not close because of the camera. What I really wonder other than the better kickstand (the keyboard itself is identical), is if the speakers are really better and if the gen 2 will give a better experience (my S23 is very fast, but the S8 is still pretty good). I don't really care about water resistance... The main issue is, if I get the S9 ultra, what do I do with my S8 ultra. Trade-in is not worth it and I am not really willing to sell it for less than half what I bought it (so less than 700, keyboard included, which I also got for free with the preorder last year). In my country they offer a 5G model too, so I could get that as un upgrade (not that I would use that much since my ultra rarely goes of of my house, although I would downgrade the RAM from 16 to 12, which is probably still fine). I really don't know if it's better to buy now with these sweet preorder deals or to wait for the tab S10 (and sell the S8 ultra then for a lower price, maybe a significantly lower price, since my S8 ultra is still on warranty until February 2024 so that would get me a better price, by the time the S10 ultra comes it will be long out of warranty..). I also have the S7FE (8GB RAM) which I am perfectly happy with, as I use it mainly as a wireless secondary monitor for my desktop and the non-OLED display is better for that, and occasionally as a lighter tablet than the ultra. So I am covered when it comes to the 12.4 size and I have no interest in the small one (I have an iPad pro 11 and barely use it as it's too small).

It's really hard to tell you what to do here. The Tab S8 Ultra is still phenomenal. Yes these new tablets have faster storage. They have a better processor. It's like 20% more efficient and will improve the battery life by a good hour or two of screen on time (if I'm guessing). And it's faster. But the next model will also be faster. If you pre-order the Ultra now, you will get more for your S8 Ultra. If you wait you will get less BUT you will have a newer device at that time. I'm sure that device will have an even better processor. In my opinion though, you'll drive yourself mad trying to make the perfect decision. I would realize that both options are really really good. 12 GB of RAM vs 16GB means pretty much nothing, I wouldn't worry much about it. But realistically I don't think if you upgrade today, or even in another year, I don't think you will just be blown away by the experience. In most situations you probably won't notice a difference in performance. I think the more noticable thing will be the battery life. Outside of that you might not notice a lot, but in those rare instances that you use a ton of power, you will definitely get more power with the S9 Ultra. Is it worth upgrading to now?! It depends really. How satisfied are you with the S8 Ultra. Are you happy with it? If you are, don't let the pressure of a new device get you to spend money you don't have to spend. The S8 Ultra is great. But if you have the money, if you want some upgrades, whether this year or next year I don't think you can go wrong. Last year's processor in the S8 Ultra was known to overheat sometimes. Samsung underclocked it to avoid some of that. But you don't have that issue now. You get better performance and better battery life and less heating. The speakers are a little better. The brightness is better in the screen, it's like 400 to 500 nits more brightness then last year. There's a lot of upgrades even if they are small and won't always be noticed. It's a great upgrade this year. Yes you will pay more. Yes you will have to get a new kickstand (you can technically keep the bottom keyboard piece if you can find a kickstand only, Spigen released one last year, maybe someone else will this year). But you may end up getting a whole new keyboard. That's apart of the journey sadly. But with 4 years of updates any tablet you upgrade to this year or next year you should be set. Assuming you don't get the fomo again and want to upgrade. I wouldn't stress too much. Whether staying put for another year or upgrading now, both are good decisions if you stick with it. I'd check your money, check your desire to upgrade and trust it. And go from there. Hopefully this helps a little bit

The limited time of the preorder deals pushes people to take decisions they would have waited for... As you said there is not an objectively better or worse decision. I'll wait one more week till the end of the preorders here, watch reviews and if nothing really compelling comes, I'll wait for the Tab S10, as you are right, then I'll probably want to upgrade again....and the loss I'll take then on the S8 will be less than the combined loss on the S8 + S9

Going from Tab A 2018 10.5" tablet to the s9 Plus. I just can't deal with the Ultra's size since I won't be using it as a laptop option or attaching a keyboard. I also took advantage of the Plus 12mb ram and 512gig flash. My current Tab A's 3mb of ram slogs with many apps open, so looking forward to the 12. Two more days!

I also got the S9+ since after comparing the Plus version to the Ultra, Ultra is just an overkill in size and went with the Plus instead.

I have tab s7, and preordered the tab s9, gonna get it next day \o/ If it helps i choose 11" because it is just the perfect screensize for me, easily fit into my bag, i can confortably play on it with my hand size, write, read, watch movies, and it fits nicely in my car also as "headunit" for gps and music, with a custom made holder. I also use it as my main phone. All in all choose the one that fits your hand comfortably.

I like small tablet, 8-inch one bcs it's easy to carry around to take notes. Been holding onto my Samsung Tab A 8.0 with S pen bcs Samsung never release a flagship tab S with 8-inch display. I wanna upgrade so bad as my tablet feels slow compared to my S20 fe phone, I even consider to move to ipad mini despite the inconvenience of different ecosystem. But after seeing the upgrade of tab s9 11 inch, I decided to embrace a bigger screen bcs it already has dynamic amoled, on-display fingerprint sensor, and that ip68 rating. I simply can't miss the preorder offer: free storage upgrade to 256gb/12gb 5g version and 50% off keyboard cover with track pad. Still wish Samsung entered the 8-inch flagship market, but oh well.

Nothing wrong with that. Outside of the better battery efficiency and better processor you won't get much that's better. You already have an amoled display and 4 years of updates. It's a great device. Don't let the newness of something cause you to spend money you don't have. I don't think you are, that's wise

I think you were quite right. I was dead set on the S9, because originally became interested in the iPad Mini (but realized it wouldn't be ideal to buy it just before the new gen), but when I actually went into a shop to check them all, I found the S9 to be really really tiny, and the S9+ the right size for a tablet that has enough substance. I love compact and portable devices, but the problem is that on a 10+ inch tablet the use is categorically different compared to e.g. iPad Mini. You'd hold the iPad Mini really close to your face, since it's such a lightweight and small device, it's similar to a phone almost. But a larger tablet is hold at arms length or half arms length, and that makes it feel way smaller to read. And the Ultra is great but it's so big that it doesn't just fit into any bag, and the weight makes it challenging to use with comfort unless to put it on a table.

Absolutely. You have to remember that the Tab S6 and even the Tab S7 came with less software updates. Starting with the S8 series they are giving 4 years of software updates. That's massive. No more updates on the S6, but you get 4 years on this model. The Tab S8 (regular model) wasn't an AMOLED display, but the Tab S9 is AMOLED. It comes with a higher refresh screen than what you have, a better battery life, a faster processor. So essentially, everything is upgraded, everything is better in my opinion, you will have much longer software support to keep this around, I think it's the best time to upgrade!

I came in too late I don't get the free storage upgrade anymore😢 I still have a tab s6 lite I like to carry with me while traveling to watch a movie or being on social media. I might wait for a discount on the tab s9 $799 is a lot money for light use in my case. Great review and comparison, cheers.

The size of the Ultra is really useful for certain scenarios. For example, having a book or video lecture open on the left side, having an s-pen based note taking app on the right. It’s comically large for everyday use, but in those specific scenarios seems awesome.

It's really tough to say. Every person is different. For me, if I want to use a device on my lap, I normally need something like a lap desk. And the tab S8 Ultra was too big for that for me. It was pretty heavy and it was hard to hold for long periods of time if I was standing up and reading from it while giving a presentation. But that's a very specific use case. On the other hand, when I was stationary on the couch watching entertainment, when I had the tablet sitting on the kitchen counter watching a show, when I was drawing with the s pin, having that large of a screen is an incredible experience. I'm not sure if the extra RAM will do much of any good, unless your video editing are doing something crazy like that. But the keyboard does have backlit keys, and The entertainment experience will be great. The reason why I recommend the tab S9 Plus for most people is because it's a good middle ground. For one it's $200 cheaper. It's also more portable and it can fit into more confined spaces. But it still has a really really large screen still. At least for a tablet. Both of them still have AMOLED displays. They both have the same performance. The only real benefit to the Ultra is the screen size, the bigger keyboard with backlighting, and one extra front facing camera. If that is worth it to you, along with a little bit of extra brightness, then go for it. Of course you also paid more to get the extra RAM. But if you look at the total price you paid it's definitely going to be a lot more. So that screen size, and that extra RAM really have to be worth a lot to you. It's definitely worth a lot for no takers and it's definitely worth a lot for people who love entertainment and who loves scrolling on a ridiculously large screen. It's such an amazingly awesome device for that. And for myself personally, I found myself going back and forth between the tab S8 Plus and the tab S8 ultra. Sometimes I prefer the smaller portable form factor and sometimes I prefer the larger screen. So honestly I don't think you can go wrong. If you can afford the larger device and you really want a larger device go for it. But if you are stuck in the middle and you really really like both and you're okay with both, best to save little money. either way I think you're going to win and get a great device and you're going to get a lot of updates and you're going to enjoy it. But it really depends on the person. That's why I try to be careful with the advice I give and try to give advice they could fit everyone. Hopefully this helps in some way. If you ever decide to cancel feel free to use my links to reorder. But don't feel the need because I really think you made a good decision too. But again it's very subjective and I would understand if you end up changing your mind

Hey Zach, I just got my Tab S9 in yesterday and unfortunately, the S7/S8 case I have doesn't quite fit. The camera and speaker cutouts aren't the proper size. It's close, but not perfect. Also, it feels a little off inside the case too. I'm bummed, because I love my older S7 case 😢

Yep. That's exactly what I thought. The back cover won't fit but I'm guessing the keyboard will work just fine. If you theoretically find a different kickstand you could maybe get the old keyboard to work

@@AndroidDigest Oh, I wasn't using a keyboard with this little tablet. It's a 3rd party folio case that just worked well. It's rugged without being too bulky and also easy to put on or take off. I hate cases with hard polycarbonate frames because they always feel like they are going to break or damage the tablet. The case that looks amazing to me is the Samsung outdoor case. It has a cool kickstand but no screen cover. It's $60 though and that feels a bit overpriced.

Hey need your opinion😊 I got S8+ and its slim keyboard cover for free (gift from company) and really love how S9 is more portable without specs compromise and better chip too... So is it worth trading S8+ with keyboard for getting S9?? Thx

I know tablets are meant to be handheld, but I can't resist the Ultra's screen size for content consumption and multitasking.

I don't blame you. A lot of people do love the larger screen size. It's pretty incredible. It has some drawbacks but it's incredible for those that like it

Great video, s9 is great however s9plus could deliver better speakers performance , I really heasitate between those s9 and 9plus

What about hot spotting the tab to your phone data connectivity/hotspot, apparently you cant hot spot the S9s to your phone wifi?

You can. You just turn on your hotspot on your phone, and it will turn your phone's data into a wifi hotspot, at that point you are simply connecting your tablet to wifi, so the tab has wifi capability, it will have no problem connecting to a hotspot.

The S9 Plus seems to be the best and more practical option. Thanks for the upload.

Not really, seems pretty minor as far as the difference. But for those people who don't need the extra screen real estate it helps to justify just getting the plus.

Pre ordered 2 x S9 and each comes with free keyboard trackpad and buds pro 2 and disney plus. They for my kids tonplay games on. Snap 8 gen 2 is a beast for gaming.

Have you tried zoom/skype with this tablet? Both freeze upon screenshare - not good for teachers at all :( (all 3 tabs)

Sounds like a software bug. A suggestion is to uninstall the Skype app and try through the Samsung browser, see if it works, or the Chrome browser. Rather than the app. Otherwise, they should release an update soon I'm sure. I normally don't screen share on zoom though. And haven't zoomed in awhile.

I explained things in a lot of detail in the video. You might want to watch it in full. You will get slightly better battery life, maybe with the tab S9 Plus, it does have a bigger battery. But it also drains more battery because it has a larger screen. So you won't see that much of a difference in battery life. Honestly the biggest difference comes down to price and size. 11 inches in screen size versus 12.4. and a $200 price difference. There's also one extra camera on the plus. Outside of that there's little to no difference. If you end up getting the keyboard cover the keyboard cover will be a little more crammed on the smaller model since it's only an 11-in tablet. So that's one other factor. But all of that does come down to screen size. Do you want a larger device or do you want something smaller? Do you need a larger screen or do you want something a little more portable? I think that's what all this comes down to for most people. I think the ultra's a little too big for most people and I think the regular tab S9 maybe a little small for some people.. the S9 Plus is the right size for many. But it depends on the person

Hey thanks for the advice, i had pre-ordered s9 at $ 683 in India. We don't have any such deals for keyboard cases in India, s9 is the best portable good and pocket friendly device for me. Excited to get it. Can u pls confirm these have in built fingerprint sensor? Also does s9 8 gb Ram version will have 4.0 file speed??

If u have a corporate id, it will also provide you the exact same price. I regret not having a VIP pass, it would have saved me 3.5k more, got to know about it, after it wasn't available. But anyways i guess generally it's a very good deal in india for atleast 6 months. Even BBD can't beat it, considering back to school offer.

While the S7 is out of android updates, Samsung promised security updates for 5 years from its release. So they're good security-wise through 2025. I don't see a video game worth playing on the tablet (still mad at genshin impact not having controller support on Android), I'm cool with PS5 remote play and steam streaming on the S7+. I'll try to be good with my money and hold out

I got the S9+ as an upgrade from the old S6. Almost got the Ultra but I thought it was too big, its pretty much just a PC monitor at that point. The Plus is enough of a size upgrade from the S6 because my S6 is about a 9" screen

I've never had any Galaxy tablet with a swelling battery. So not sure what the problem would be. I've heard of a few older Samsung phones with that problem. But if you have a Samsung tablet for 5 or 6 years anyway it's time to upgrade

I have s9 plus and feel like it's massive also I wish they made smaller flagship tablets that's same level of power and no lose in specs

Yeah everyone is different. The Ultra is a big screen but sometimes it's a little too big. But everyone is different. The Plus is still pretty big but it gives more portability. It's a good value too, a lot less expensive

If I didn't get a decent trade in value for my S7 and had some remaining money from my Pixel 7 Pro, no way would I spend this kind of money on a tablet. (Came out even for the S9, just now need to get a case and screen protector when it comes out) I honestly went with this as my 7 Pro while a good phone, it had some difficulties I couldn't get past. (Mostly the curved screen, that and carrying around a device worth close to a grand) So I went back to a 6a as it's smaller, made of plastic, and has a flat display with a still great camera. Got the base S9 with the 256 GB storage amount as it has 12 GB of ram. My S7 lasted nearly 3 years since launch and was a great companion device for my phone and was wonderful for gaming thanks to Dex.

Hope you enjoy it! With this snapdragon processor you shouldn't have to upgrade for awhile, especially with amoled on the s9.

They don't have the same brightness levels - the Ultra get a lot brighter up to 930 nits with the lower models hitting a few hundred nits lower at peak 🎉

That's when outside with adaptive brightness on, it's a little over a hundred nits more. When using it regularly though, they're all the same. It's nice to have in those outdoor situations though.

The S9 Ultra is around 900ish and the S9 Plus and S9 were around 600ish. Give or take a little bit. Just saying this off my head. Late for the response but hopefully it helps. I plan to do a full comparison video in the next month!

How about I compare it for you in the comments right now? I think the difference really comes down to what you're looking for. The Tab S9 is much more expensive. You're talking about a $300 price difference at the minimum. The real big difference between the two is going to be the AMOLED display and slightly better performance. It also comes with the s pen in the box. If you consider the fact that you pay about $100 for the OnePlus pen, at that point it's only a $200 difference and the main thing you're paying for is slightly better performance and an AMOLED display. The question is, are those two things worth it to you? There are some other benefits, Samsung DeX is a huge software perk that allows you to use your tablet in a laptop like environment. Samsung is also known to be better with their software and have better software updates. In my opinion, if you don't care as much about the AMOLED display, and if you don't push your tablet to the absolute limit, most people won't notice a performance difference between the OnePlus pad and the tab S9. I think the Google pixel tablet and the OnePlus pad are terrific values. I think the tab S9 is a better overall tablet and it's more well-rounded, and has a little more longevity. Hopefully this helps! There's so many videos to make because I'm talking about every single tablet and all the accessories I can talk about like the keyboard covers, so I'm not sure what videos I'll get to or not but hopefully this helps in the meantime

I got the S9 Ultra but a bit disappointed.... Im used Second Screen via game mode/game mode on S7+, wanted to get a bigger screen with more usefull Second Screen app, and.... And the Second Screen app on S9 ultra has nothing, not toggle for game mode or movie mode, you can just turn on/off the second screen mode, and its laggy. Very laggy, useless. Yeah i know there are superdisplay and other apps but i need to get my computers sound from my tablet and superdisplay is only for screen...... Anyone has any solution for get the game/movie toggles on S9 ultra for second screen??? Thanks

I wanna pre-order an s9 so bad but I'm short money for it, even with their promotions :( luckily tho I've found s8's for really good prices. I just don't know if I'll regret buying an s8 over an s9 because of the amoled screen... thoughts?

Yes and no. If you are out there and you get a great deal on a tab S8, like in the US you can buy them used for like $400 or so. That's terrific. And if you want an OLED display one day, you could always trade it in for around $400 anyway. Samsung normally has pretty good trade-in deals that stick around and I would assume they'll offer at least $300 for that tab S8 for a very long time. So you won't lose much. And it will get you by. You could also go with the tab S8 plus which does have an AMOLED display. And I found those around $550 or so. Still much cheaper than the $1,000 the Tab S9 is going for

Unfortunately if you get the 5g plus version you don't get the storage upgrade which sucks 😢😢😢

as an s8 ultra user just buy the plus tablet is bigger and if ur just gonna watch it from ur bedside it serves no purpose plus swipe typing isn't as fast because the keyboard can only be so small

Sorry for the late response but no. The Ultra has a book cover keyboard that is backlit And a slim keyboard (not backlit) which is not detachable. The other two models have a similar keyboard design, a book cover keyboard with no backlighting, and a slim option. They are slightly worse quality, but cheaper. Hopefully this helps. I reviewed the Ultra keyboards and the Tab S9 Keyboard too.

Do you need one? Maybe not. But can you use a stylus? Do you have touch screen? If you don't need those, you don't need any form of a tablet anyway. But if someone was considering an iPad for example, there are no 14.6 in iPads right now. There are no iPads that come with styluses in the box. There are no iPads with bright AMOLED displays. So there are some reasons to go for a Galaxy tablet. It's going to be better than your average $1,000 laptop when it comes to entertainment. It's not as good for productivity. But it does have the ability to do both. Not perfect at all. I'd recommend most people with $1,000 spend it on a laptop instead. But it still has a great place in the market in my opinion

Yes. But it will only charge at 45w. I have 65w chargers all around my house and I use them on my phones normally. They work with most phones and would work with the ultra

Definitely not. No one needs 16GB of RAM on an android tablet in my opinion, at least not most people.

I'm fine with my Tab S7+ 256G I got for $360. I saw no compelling reason to upgrade to S8 and neither to S9.

The biggest reason now will be software. No Android 14 update. No more updates after that. Security updates coming to an end soon. These new tablets will buy you over 4 years of big updates. That's significant to me

It's just I don't get why it isn't like $500, $600, $700 at least instead of $500, $500, $650 and even some people are still selling the s8 ultra for $800

I've ordered the tab s 9 ultra, and the watch 6 classic at the same time, got £600 discount

😂😂 That's crazy. This comment just shows why I do what I do. I definitely think it was a good time to upgrade because no Android 14 for the Tab S7+ and now you get 4 OS updates with this device. But it's funny to me that I shared some of the negatives with the Ultra, BUT I also shared who would prefer the Ultra. And in my comments I'm seeing some flock to hunt Ultra and some flock away from it. Which means I'm doing what I wanted, I want people to find the right device for them. That's 1 TB built in. You can add an sd card separately. That's why I'm not sure most people need that 1 TB. It's nice for the RAM upgrade but not necessary for most things. But hey. Some really want a ton of storage and I respect it

Got the S9 Tablet. Love it. Unfortunately, Samsung Support told me Tab S8 keyboard would work with it. Well it works fine. The problem is that the camera lens is bigger and so it doesn't fit! Crazy! You'd think they would know! Troubles all on me. No help from Samsung. Be warned.

Exactly. The keyboard fits, but not the back of the kickstand part of the case. So you would need another case. And then you would have this keyboard flopping around. I warned people about this in my keyboard reviews. Thanks for pointing it out a month ago!

Yeah that's strange. But I know a lot of companies don't take newer phones right away to avoid fraud and stuff like that. Don't hesitate to re-sell it on Facebook or somewhere online so you can get the money to get what you want. That's my advice. Good luck

I will be going from the s8 ultra to the s9 plus because it actually goes from 256gb to 512gb instead of 128gb to 256gb (s9).

Right, it's nice that it starts with higher storage.

I have an Apple iphone with,of course, a camera. The phone sits in my front pocket and takes great shots. The Tablet with its size does not fit in my pocket. Why cant Samsung make a Tablet without a camera in it. Holding a huge tablet up to take a picture instead of a camera phone doesnt make sense. If Samsung offered a tablet without a camera the price could be lowered and the battery size could be increased

Well even if you buy 5G you still have to buy the plan with it monthly. I prefer the Wi-Fi because almost every carrier allows you to turn on a hotspot pretty quickly anyway. But some people prefer easy access on their tablet
