Lol I've had the silver card for nearly two years and still can't product change and a 700 limit yet. My savor is a 4000. I can't stand cap one. Regret ever getting cards from them tbh.

I know the feeling. I had their Platinum MC for 6 years in addition to two other Cap1 CCs. First as a secured Platinum MC, then clear out the blue they graduated it to an unsecured MC. However I could NOT get a CLI on any of the my Cap1 CCs for years. Even when I had an 800+ FICO w/all 3 bureaus. Then about a year ago they started giving me CLI increases, even for the Platinum MC. Now whenever I request CLI it's granted. Somehow it seems I broke out of their infamous bucket system.

I have a cap one quick silver with a 400 credit limit. The last card I was approved for had a 20k limit. I can't take cap one seriously 😂

I had cap one for 20 years and finally just got a 5000$ what a joke asking for an increase was like me asking them to blow me

The venture x is a travel card so a lot of people would charge hotel expenses and airfare on it. Make sense for C1 to lift the credit limit so they dont muder customer's credit score.

For me C1 has one of the lowest limits and I’ve been with them for almost 6 years meanwhile I have higher limits with other banks I opened years later

What is the chance that using your pre approval on ur master list will approve but the the final will deny you.

What's your advice with business card utilization I now have 4 business cards. Chase kept giving me 4k for a credit limit. I'd max the card out twice a month Updated revenue and expenses and was given 5k. At the same time on personal cards chase is giving 35k to 38k. I now have the 4 cards. One of them a Amex with a CL about 5 times that of chase. So I'm not as concerned. It's a real SP now over a year and it now has data for my tax filings What are your thoughts on business utilization?

Great vid. I've read that in terms of total credit affecting Yer credit score, You don't need more than 50,000. Creditwise website says same thing. 50,000 is excellent and there is no higher rating. More may be nicer but more won't give Your credit score a bump....unless You are not paying bills in full immediately and for some reason carrying a balance, then it may help with usage %. Any thoughts?

Amex is 35k? Or 25k? I heard it was 25k when they want to verify income on that amout

Best to wait 90 -120 days (or 3 - 4 billing cycles) before asking for CLI so Discover can see your monthly payment track record with them. Your requested amount should be based primarily on the 30% Utilization Rule. Currently your CL is $11K so you top out at $3,300 as 30% Utilization wall. Personally prefer to use 20% - 25% as my Utilization wall. Question is: Would you be better off using your Discover payment history/credit score to LEVERAGE INTO ANOTHER CARD? I prefer to not have all my CC"s issued by same Bank. It's better to have CC's from different issuers in case one issuer decides to reduce your CL or even close your account. Recently hearing too many instances of a Bank closing long time customer's multiple CC's & checking & savings accounts ALL AT ONCE! No warning! Some didn't have a back-up plan with other issuers, had all their financial eggs in 1 basket, then Bank obliterated that basket. Also, consider that a CLI will not get you a Sign-Up Bonus or Introductory 0% APR for 12+ months.

I went from $25k on my CSR to $50k with my first request. My Freedoms are both $25k each. 😄

I have a chase sapphire with 8k if I apply for another chase card will they hard pull my credit. If not which card chase card should I apply for. What American Express card would give the highest limit with no annual fee.

if my navy fed flagship started at 25K can i ask for a credit increase or do I have to just ask for more rewards and hope for a 25K then try to get them to move the limit over?

Flagship has a max credit limit of 80K so yes ask for a CLI

I have an AMEX GC. I don’t need it. Should I ask for a downgrade? If AMEX won’t downgrade, I will cancel it. I have a nearly 800 score and plenty of options. I understand that this is an opinion and I have to make the decision.

Strictly up to you. I didn’t like the gold card and upgraded to the Platinum, but the green card from what I heard is a sleeper and is great for travel. Might go with that one.
