There needs to be a west conference. All the West Coast teams joining East Coast conferences are stupid.

B1G & SEC is neck to neck as far as football expansion but all overall B1G cause of the major TV markets (L.A) and Oregon & Washington is no slouches in football with USC traditiion which arguably may be a tad better than the tradition of Texas & Oklahoma

It’s a subjective scale. I would argue that the Big 12 may have won. Not based on quality, but based on long term viability. Obviously the Big Ten and SEC won in the sense of power and brand. But the Big 12 probably saved themselves from being left behind in football. And that is a win!

More people watch big ten than the sec by a good clip. They have Michigan and Ohio State, and penn st to lesser extent. If they get more of there fans to watch by having better teams to play it's a win.

SEC fans often fail to realize the sheer size of the Big Ten's schools. They have alums all over the country. So while Alabama or Tennessee or LSU fans might scoff at anyone caring about an Illinois or Minnesota game, but Big Ten schools have fans everywhere. I spoke to bookmakers in Las Vegas many years ago and they referenced the fact that they take into consideration the fact that with more grads, Big Ten schools will have more representation at Vegas sportsbooks... and they'd set their lines accordingly.

West coast teams will struggle in The BIG (possible exception Oregon). Texas has been the downfall of every conference they have ever been a part of. The ACC will (probably this month) change drastically.
