The V6 is nice, its just the least powerful one in the range. It can be quite fun, you can push it hard without breaking the speed limit immediately.

Thanks for explaining the differences between the trims, I have a 2020 Challenger RT, and it is perfect for my driving needs. All of the trims are great in their own way, the SXT for everyday enjoyment, the Scat Pack and the Hellcat for more experienced drivers who want to enjoy some track time.
I really love these trim comparisons and how it highlights the perks of each trim. There is something for everybody.
I love how you really show love to the sxt and not talk down on it for being a V6 like everyone else . I just bought my 2019 challenger and I love it . Love the channel
Lots of options to choose from based on your budget. Thanks RacerX for another informative video.
This was in my recommended and I’m glad so. You know what you’re talking about and you are honest and informative. As a young adult who is looking to get into the muscle car scene this was so helpful. Thank you. You definitely got a new subscriber wit me bro 💯

I purchase a very low mile 2018 T/A 5.7 Challenger. It has all the options I want. Only one missing is the sun roof. I can live with that. It is a great road car. Runs hard, stops great, handles well and makes a great daily driver.
Thank you for the great videos I just purchased a 2020 Charger Scat pack 2 days ago.
I enjoyed your video on the trims. Thank you for doing this video.
I went with the triple nickle scatpack charger, already did a mid muffler delete it sounds great

Great video Racer X I know a bunch of this already mostly because you've talked about it in some of your other videos lol. Keep putting out this content it's good stuff I try to watch every video regardless
Hello Racer X, many thanks for your channel, enthusiastic and informative. I really enjoyed especially your trim discussion/guidance; I have been watching your channel since this year's spring. Finally, after long waiting, I got the car title for brand new 2020 Challenger GT AWD (granite crystal, Black Top) and can drive her. For me the power of V6 is well enough (compared with 1.6 L Ecoboost and 2.0 L supercharged diesel in European Fords I drive). I am enjoying every mile - the car is totally different from European cars: look & feel, sound and power & response (namely when compared to downsized supercharged I4’s common here for midsize cars). Challenger handles surprisingly well when one realizes the size & weight, she is comfortable, roomy big coupe and simply beautiful. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised with the engine sound, both interior as exterior, and the power. With V6 engine the car is probably below the muscle car definition, nor a race/performance car but rather a classy cruiser (what was actually my dream that finally came true now). Take care and keep up with your great content. Greetings from the heart of Europe (Czech Republic, Prague).
Awesome video. Lots of good information. Keep the awesome content going!

My dream car is a Charger sxt with the blacktop package. I’m currently saving up for one come April. It’ll be the first Rear wheel drive car I’ve ever driven
Nice video. Now they have the super stock option coming too. Good times
My wife loves her Challenger G/T AWD. To be honest, I like driving it, it makes me miss mine less when I put it away for the winter.
I feel like the R/T would be a good fit for me. I’ve never owned a rear wheel drive car and the most HP that I’ve had was 190. Afraid I’d kill myself in a Scat Pack.

Good videos keep them coming

But you can't really have fun with them if you know what I mean
I bought my first brand new Charger RT from them way back in 2008 lol! I am considering going back to a Charger RT for a daily to replace my Jeep Cherokee, but with a new job on the horizon that will have me driving out of town for work I know I will be racking up miles quick and burning fuel. With that said I might consider the Charger GT with that Pentastar V6. Great videos Racer X, keep them coming!
Great comparisons
I bought a Challenger SXT earlier this year. This has been an incredible purchase. Aftermarket Magnaflow exhaust. Bright white color with red striping through the middle leading to a black spoiler. Clean look! Always getting compliments. It is my daily driver. After this is paid off I will be looking to get a RT or Scat to experience the difference.

Nicely done!
I went with a 2017 Challenger R/T a month ago, coming from a 2001 Honda Civic EX with 127 Horsepower and Jumping into the R/T with 375 horsepower and 400 pounds of torque is really amazing 🤩, I still have my Honda, which I use as my daily now, and I am 100 percent a JDM Honda guy but My R/T is truly stunning and the difference in power and sound is hard to even put in words
My one criticism for the manual challenger (and with stock manuals in general) is the shifter. I wish short throw was a priority. I feel like it protects your transmission because you can get in and out more easily and its more rigid. Once my warrantee is up, its one of the first things I'm replacing. Apparently replacing it before then will void my warantee, which isn't worth it for me.
Great content Racer X !! The 2020 Challenger RT Plus Shaker 6 Speed is what I purchased earlier this year because it just spoke to me on the lot... 93 Octane seems to run great...The 5.7 Hemi puts plenty of power to the ground...

I originally bought a scat pack widebody, I love that car. It was definitely one of my favorites. It does everything well. hey, now on a hellcat challenger widebody, this car has a insane amount of horsepower. That super charge whine is intoxicating. I have a new favorite!!!
Great video!!!!
Challenger Hellcat owner for 2 years now....best decision I ever made in car-buying. I'm a very happy man with my ride. I'm going to buy another ride soon and I'm deciding between a 5.7 Chrysler 300s or a Scat-pak Charger.
Enjoy ALL these trims folks! Its a must, before the next 10 years everything becomes electric! Lol 😅. Working my way up the engine trims. 1st. 4 cylinder (auto) Neon 2nd 3.6L Charger (5 speed) 3rd 5.7L 300c (5 speed, current car) 4. Planning for Scat Pack Charger in 2021 before summer (waiting for my new house to be built and then its shopping time!🤘🏿
My personal preference would be for the upcoming Charger Hellcat Redeye Widebody. 4 doors! Practical (when cost is no object)! Looks great! Insane power!
The driver skill is the biggest consideration needed here. And a lot of people need to learn how to be honest about their abilities behind the wheel.
The RT is awesome. Would recommend
I have a 21 scat and love it
I honestly want a RT as my daily driver but being in California and the cost of gas also insurance. I think SXT will be the best for me. In terms of affordability of gas and insurance.
Hey dad....my redeye cost more than my mortgage, but it puts a huge smile on my face....I even let out a racerx laugh once in a while 😆 🤣 😂....true story!!!
In 2013 I made the jump from a 1997 Eclipse to a 2014 Chally R/T. I thought my Eclipse was fast, but it took me 1 minute to feel the difference in that Challenger. Within 2 months I had to upgrade tires from the 245 stocks to 285, and that was only partially due to burned tread. I upgraded to a Scat Pack in 2019, and had new 305s before leaving the lot... the power is real and so is the fun. These cars are not for the inexperienced driver.
Good content
Hi, Awesome content as alway! I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I enjoy them. I do have a question I was hoping you would answer (haven’t seen you mention it in any videos) but what’s your opinion on swapping out badges on the scat pack. I left my 2019 Scat Pack that I own with the RT logo and I purchased “Powered by SRT” badges for it but I do contemplate changing the RT badge on the front grill with a SRT badge. When I turn my car in the screen says SRT not RT and though it’s a RT body except for the hood the car came with I feel it’s Dodges new version of a cross breed between the two. Would love to hear what you have to say.
I drove a V6 Challenger and though Im sure the V8s are alot of fun I'd probably be ok with a V6
Realistically for me? R/T. I could possibly afford it via insurance. If I was rich, Demon/Hellcat/Scat Pack, hands down. All Dodge Challenger of course! Oh yeah! Another excellent video Racer X!
I bought the 2020 Charger Scat 2 months ago I didn’t even test drive it... I knew what I wanted it’s a beautiful machine Smokeshow Grey I love that car... keep up the good work Racer X

Thats a tuff one,I have the 2020 widebody charger scat pack plus.need back seat for dogs.i luv it.really good daily driver, cant complain.half tank of gas everyweek, that includes having too.better gas mileage than my 2019 ram 5.7 truck i had.
damn you did a great job breaking them down! I’m coming over from a ford focus st and am looking to get a charger scat pack. Do you think i have enough experience coming from the Focus st to handle it?
I went with the Challenger SXT. Used to have a 2007 Mini Cooper S that was a fun car, when it wasn't in the garage every other week... but it just wasn't feasible long-term and I just didn't have the time or the money to constantly spend fixing shotty BMW parts. Always liked the Challengers of all trims and took the dive on my current one and am loving it. I don't need more than 2 doors, the trunk space is great (unlike the Mini), gas mileage is MUCH better than the Mini towards the end of its time with me, and it's a fun daily driver - even as a 6 cylinder. Of course if I had the immediate money I *MIGHT* have gone for a V8 but it would still be a tossup since I'd be in traffic most of the time anyways and no longer race on the track or autocross so I feel the 6-cylinder was good enough to suit my purposes.
great video, wanted one for years. What is your opinion on a 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Coupe manual drive?
Tough call. I would just recommend to go with a 4 car garage! There's a need for each one of these. I like'm all.

that scat pack... *WOAH* i want it
I love my sxt I just want put a wide body kit on it & a exhaust system on it because I hate that its silent..but saves me money since it's my daily & I have a 45min. So 1.5hr commute back & forth so economical for me.
I just bought the standard body charger scat pack. They had a wide body but it didn’t have all the options mine came with. Mine is absolutely loaded. Mine is granite metallic grey. When i bought it mine wife was out of town on a conference. My payments on the ScatPack were going to be 475 a month. Then my salesman asked me if I’d like to see a charger hellcat. I didn’t like the color, plus it would have made my payments around 750 a month. It really was a hard decision but at the end of the day, I’m not a race car driver. I’m not going to be doing a bunch of 0 to 60 runs. This scatpack will do somewhere between 175 and 185 mph. The hellcat is faster in the 0 to 60 and it will do 202 miles mph. That’s all great but for 30 thousand dollars more, it was easy for me to go with the ScatPack. My car is over 3 months old and it only has 214 miles on it. Ill keep this puppy for 20 years. Most people give there cars a girls name. My scatpack is named Joe Dirt
Definitely wish I would have thought about the future when I got my charger widebody scatpack! The gas is definitely number 1 for me! The tires!! Are ridiculous! Especially because you have to get them special ordered! And they cost a grip! And you can’t put a spare on a widebody if you get a flat! None of this would probably be an issue if I wasn’t married and have a children and a mortgage 🤣
I’m part of the 20% great vid tho 😂
Just bought a challenger Scat pack 1320 R /T with the full drag package. In the sinomin stick color automatic. With the drag radial tires no I didn't get the wide body l like it without it. I'm an old school muscle car. Guy. My first car was a 1972 demon. 2nd was a 70 RR.
Love the racer x name
I am a beginner with a GT and I could see how the Scat Pack could get away from you, The Throttle response is pretty different so it does take some time to get used to.
I love my Scat Pack Widebody! It has the stiffest suspension of all the Challengers, and I didn't need a second loan for the gas LOL!

Just got my first car. I got the sxt but I was eyeing the rt
My dream is to own a scatpack challenger. But in reality, I might have to settle for another rt charger (family situation). Hhhm, maybe I can pinch a few pennies and save up to get the scatpack charger widebody. Best of both worlds :-).
When racer X speaks you listen.
Fully equipped RT if you just want the looks and feel of a muscle car. Base Scat pack if you want performance. They're both comparible in price. At least here in Canada.
From someone who upgrade from an RT to the scat i think you are spot on with the analysis. The power can be intimidating and its best to start slow before jumping to something that's a legitimate drag car. Also, is the scat more expensive? Yes, does it go through more gas, yes, is it more expensive to maintain, yes, does it cost more on insurance, yes, yes and yes, but its ALSO 100% worth it!! Especially when you have a manual like me and you can roll through the gears absolutely a blast to drive and have complete controll over the car.

Is the Scat Pack not classified as an RT under insurance? I thought the insurance would be the same for a RT and RT ScatPack
@ryanrock4944
3 жыл бұрын
@@xox_xox99 nope. Its like a tier system so if you call insurance or do it online the R/T is an option but then they will most likely ask you what motor the 5.7 or 6.4 and thats how they get you. To be fair it costs more so it makes sense the insurance is more as you are also more likely to use more of the horsepower lol.

I love all Challengers
Can you do a video on the wide body scat pac shaker addition?
If you only need a SXT for your daily then spend a tiny bit more and get the GT with performance pages and more bells and whistles. Same engine, same Insurance cost, same mpg.
If I could deal with the owning cost of a Scat Pack , that would be my first choice. I bought the RT and it’s a great daily driver and you get a great V8 sound…
I’m in the market to get a challenger. I’ve narrowed it down to the scat pack and the T/A 392. Not sure what’s the difference performance wise. What’s your thoughts?
Hey Racer x I own a 2017 scatpack bumblebee, how would I upgrade my infotainment center so it would show me more of my specs Of my car are there special packages you can order? Fuel additive question. Here in Utah 93 octane is a unicorn and hard to find, so I run 91 in my Scat. Are additives recommended? Or, discouraged against?
