The Allure range will always stand the test of time. As we get older, the more you appreciate the line. Especially in today's world. Most fragrances don't even get the chance to have a line dedicated to the original d.n.a. anymore.

What i really about Chanel is that they do not rush launching a fragrance like other many brands out there . They really work hard on their fragrances and a new one takes really long time to see light and when it sees light, it makes you do so.

Allure homme the original is my favorite. It was actualy the first fragrance I ever purchased. Love at first sniff! Absolutly incredible fragrance

Great video, thanks Clémence. I use the extreme and got compliments for it, but I thought that maybe the Blanche would be the better pick overall.

I have Blanche, Sport, Extreme and about 20ml left of an original release Allure. I adore the line and a testimony to how great they are is how hard it is to chose one over the other. But.... I think Allure Homme Sport has the Allure DNA I love but more modern and fresh. I live in the tropics and it's a perfect grab every day.

Nice overview Clemence. This fragrance line is all about aldehydes to my nose. If I remember correctly it was one of the first big men’s lines to feature aldehydes. There have been many for women, as you know.

@@L.Dotty7 Fragrance is subjective but in my opinion AHS is better for me, don't get me wrong AHSEE is a great scent and is more versatile all season, but it goes in a creamy direction and AHS is a brighter fresher direction. I would wear AHS more in the summer late spring. The allure line is great as it's basically 5 different themes, whereas Bleu is just 3 different strengths of the same smell

My all time go to is the original Allure EdT. When I was at university I was rocking Allure Homme Sport EdT the ladies loved that. Many many joyful nights can prove Allure Homme Sport's power. When the extreme version was released I was in Paris, a Chanel sales girl sprayed it on me in Lafayette my girlfriend went crazy and I like it to but my all time fav is the original. Anyway it is hard to choose I think there is no bad men's fragrance in Chanel's repertoire .... not even Antaeus it is making a come back to my daily used fragrances nowadays (you should make a video about Chanel's men's line-up)

Great comparison! Now I know what that strong note that I don't like in Le male and Allure Homme Sport Extreme is. I think it is tonka bean.

Would go with the EDT, but most of the "aquatic" go bitter in my skin. Tried the Edition Blanche and loved it.

I love whole Allure's line. When I was a teenager I used to steal some sprays from my father Allure homme bottle in 2005 but was horrible on me because it wasn't suitable for my age. Two years later I got Allure homme sport as a gift. It was trendy unique and fantastic. My current favorite from this line is Edition Blanche. Sadly I heard Allure homme the original has been reformulated and performance is weaker. Anyway I will buy it soon because I 32 years old now and I think I ready to wear it as a MAN.

Around 18mths ago I was running low on Edition Blanche and went to my local department store to pick up a new bottle. I could not see any on the shelf and the assistant couldn't find any under the counter. She asked me to wait while she went around to the women's counter and she returned with a bottle, saying that they rarely sold any to men but that women always bought the fragrance. My wife and her friends always take a few sprays of Edition Blanche.

I just received the Eau Extreme, and except for the Cologne, I think I now have all of the Allure line. But if I was only allowed to own one, I would choose the original Allure Homme.

Chanel Egoiste original was my very first Designer Fragrance in early 90s. And the best Allure Homme Versions are the original and Blanc. Blanc is like a summer citrus creme.

Depends on the weather no? I like all of them lol but I actually do not wear them as they are just to common, Extreme is my favourite!

Nice review, i just pulled the trigger on the ed. Blanche wich I found amazing since it's edp release but the pricy tag always didn't allowed me to buy it (I mean for what it gives you in term of performance, we have several better other options) but yesterday ici paris XL Brussels puts 21% off on everything and just grabbed the 150ml (couldn't resist for that price) 🤗

A cologne, even when used in reference to concentration, is a fragrance. Even when it is designed to be shortlived, a refreshing pick-me-up, it is the fragrant aspect that is the raison d'être. Now an aftershave, there's a point there. And sometimes the word "cologne" is used in a frag name when it's a high-concentration performance beast. Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne is a powerful, projecting, long lived near-analogue of classic Old Spice. Creed Viking Cologne is in Creed's standard EDP concentration. Same same for Aventus Cologne. And here in the ruffian, inelegant USA, any fragrance targeted for men is often referred to as a "cologne", regardless of the concentration, of occasion appropriateness, or intent of the fragrance. But yes, there is a differentiation to be made between a light, short-lived scent and a heavy, long-lived one. Just a matter of language. Good review of the line. I love the French accented English.

My brother and father and I would get chanel pour monsieur or antaus for Christmas from my late Mother in the 1980's it's astonishing how scents evoke such beautiful memories! Then in 1993 at university I wore platinum egoist in summer, herbal mowed lawns after clean shave. Girls loved it at the clubs! My Mum wore chanel no 5 and passed late nov last year and she worked for chanel at jarrolds Norwich england so I invested in all mens chanel in her honour. Allure range though is a lovely range for everywhere!

I have Chanel allure sport cologne. I like it. I want to try the others in the line

so Allure Homme Sport EDT is different from the COLOGNE right? smell wise? many would tell me that its the same smell, one is just lighter. but i could always feel the difference. So are they made from different mixes of smells?

Eau Extreme is so strong it's annoying🥴And on top of that it lasts all over everywhere for 2-3 days!! Uuufff It's nice and pleasant, but the dry down doesn't change from the opening?😲It's so overwhelming that I hate it now! I bought it for my new boyfriend and I regret it now..😳

The Cologne is actually a EDT consentration. I find it last a good amount of time, the same as Allure homme sport EDT

Hi Clèmence! Great video! Perhaps you can explain to me why "eau extreme" has 2 versions, the "eau de toilette concentreè" and the "eau de parfum", what`s the difference?? (if there is any) I`ve search everywhere but the only reason I could find was that old batches are "eau de toilette concentreè", BUT I just purchase a bottle with 2020 batch and it says "eau de toilette concentreè", could you help me please? I don’t think niche quality is a thing, It’s a very beautiful scent not that unique tho if that’s what you mean !

I don’t wear my Chanel fragrances that often because I noticed that the sprayers spray a lot! I go through the bottles so quickly. Is this just me, or am I correct about this?

You can do half spray on the Allure Homme bottles but not on the Blue de Chanel ones

Edition Blanche is my favorite and use it mostly in the fall (goes great with end of the summer). I bought the Sport in 2004 and it was very well liked, aka. lot of compliments. Not a fan of the extreme, gave it away, was to "heavy". The cologne reminds me of a spicy version of Dior Homme Cologne....

How come the original allure the one that started the whole line isn’t talked about or shown in the video? It’s the best one.

I love the allure line. Allure sport has an accord that smells like water out of an aluminum flask.

Allure is a great Line. Edition Blanche is my preferred one. Love it in the Summer and it last around 6 hours - it isn’t an longevity beast. But If you love a classy and citrusy Parfum, it is one of the best. Imho the extrem Version is a little bit overhyped and to be honest i dont like the spiciness that much.

5 sprays.. 1 on behind the neck.. 1 behind both ears.. 1 on each front shoulder.. a woman asked me what i was. Wearing and wanted me to send a pic of the fragnance on her number so she could buy it for her husband..

I think the reformulation of the original Allure was a crime. I have a small amount of the original left and refuse to use it because it will be gone forever. The current Homme is still fine but it isn't as great as the flankers.

Blanche is always in EDP, no EDT no worries otherwise you have to get Allure Homme classic in EDT !

Extreme. It’s not a fair comparison because the cologne is a citrus fragrance that doesn’t smell anything like Allure Sport. Also (off topic) MFK Amyris Homme Extrait smells like a better blended version of Allure Sport.
