**funfact: Mark's recipe is slightly different with the video** The original recipe is using an instant noodle called 콕!콕!콕! 스파게티 (it is an instant noodle that kind of tastes like tomato spaghetti) and you mix the whole thing (not only the noodles) with the instant rice cakes with sausages and noodles It will taste very different :)) But I still like both versions

the true advantage to mark’s recipe is that there are no dishes to wash.

for people who don't know, hwasa's recipe isn't just a random ramen, it is the easier korean recipe for Jajangmyeon or also called Chapaghetti(brand name), it has black bean sauce in the inside (the brown thing).

Would vouch for Hwasa's recipe. I am forever ruined and can't eat Chapaghetti the same way again. I just add a 1/4 beef bullion cube and 1 teaspoon of sugar to mine. But it is still great as is.

I've tried Chenle's one and it turned out best ramen I've ever cooked in my life. Even tho I don't know cooking except ramen.

I just made hwassas noodles but with shin ramen and no egg or truffle oil. It really elevates the spice but not too much when I’m tearing up. The noodles are super soft, and almost slimy in the best way possible. I wouldn’t do it every time I eat ramen but if I have extra time and am not super hungry I’ll do it

I think the inspiration come from rabokki. It common in Korea, but they usually put odeng (fish cake) instead sausages.

@@issythekitty13 idk if it was inspired by that but the original recipe of Mark's meal doesn't use spicy ramen but spaghetti ramen from Ottogi brand which is a bit sweet and not spicy at all

when I saw Hwasa's recipe it reminded of that one egg yolk she cracked and just left it there and got a new yolk I love her.

My ramen recipe is a mix of Chenle and Mark's. I put tomatoes and onion (chopped) in water along with the seasoning and veggie packets and let those cook for a bit, then I add in the noodles and cook those. If I want protein, I'll add in cut-up hot dogs (Hebrew National or not at all!) along with the egg. While that is cooking, I add some mozzarella to the bottom of my bowl then pour everything from the pot into the bowl and enjoy!

Another fun fact re CHENLE RAMEN: I also just saw that she didn't really use the ramen noodles chenle used, its Kang Shi Fu Beef Noodles. There's a shop in korea which sells chinese ramen where chenle (and jisung) bought the chinese ramen from in that one ep of chenji this and that and they sell that particular ramen with laoganma in a bundle because of chenle ramen

Mark Tuan's version is no doubt the best tho it's not his original menu but still....that ramen is the bomb!

As an Ahgase, I've always wanted to try the Mark Meal; props to the Ahgase who made it! 💚

Appreciated this video so much! Personally, my fave is Mark’s because it’s simple and some of the ingredients are accessible :) btw Ms Inga Lam, Chenle’s name is actually pronounced as ‘Chunlu’ like the u of lungs not Chenle like the e of hen. That’s how they spell it in NCT’s youtube channel anyway (천러 or cheonleo)

Hwasa's recipe actually got turned into a real instant ramen but then nongshim didnt use her as a cf model nor did they give her credit, so hwasa became the model for ottogi jjampong instead

cant believe mark’s meal is still going viral even FOUR years later😭😭 it was a super huge trend in korea & no other idols had any food-related trends like this before him,, crazy to see its impact to this day! tho note: its actually this korean spaghetti flavored ramyeon thats used, not shine ramyeon. (though it is pretty customizable & a lot of people have changed it up with different brands/flavors! thats just what the original used)

I’m a huge spicy ramen simp. Chenle’s ramen became my food bff. I love hearty/fancy-but-simple/articulate ramen recipes. Currently worshipping Hwasa’s ramen I LIVE for nice twists in traditional recipes. David Chang’s ramen is my newest “twist” recipe favorite and recipe to try on my list. ^v^ I can practically see stars in nicely loaded ramen, cheesy tteokbokki, and “no-dishes” recipes. Mark’s ramen is my official food hubby💜 Kylie…you’re just a mere ant on the floor for me. I love garlic, butter, and am a huge ramen lover, but…yours sounds disgustingly bland and doesn’t harmonize at all with the true melodies of ramen. Try better for me next time.

David Chang's ramen is the most half assed Caccio e pepe that I have ever seen, but I tried it and it emulsifies nicely thanks to the butter so why not? However, replace the ramen with thin spaghetti and you get an actual Italian dish so he loses creativity points with me. The other Italian inspired ramen involves kewpie mayo and an egg, which makes an egg emulsion if done properly (sort of like carbonara).

I feel like David’s and Kylie’s mixed would be really good (side note I made Mark’s but I used the stovetop ramen and added the tomato like Chenle’s it was really good)
