Which Caps Should I Use? | Graffiti Tutorial

In this video I talk about what caps I use when I paint a graffiti piece and give tips on how to use them. I demonstrate using 4 different caps, these are (FAT) The Pink Dot Cap, Standard Montana Black Cap, and (SKINNY) Montana Gold Cap and the Kak One Cap.

No idea how I got here but for people reading the comments and you got can control and paint illegaly i'd recommend the astro fat all around. Great for fills when painting trains and all above, double fill (can in both hands) and you got a solid fill in a few minutes. Outlines with the astro is dope, the fat to small ratio when it comes to extensions is just great for certain styles. Great review overall used the pinky for walls before i discovered the astro for flare tags and trains of course. Peace! :)

I agree, not out of experience with the Montana, but with premium paint valve systems in general. Now what I want to find out is how Rusto, NY fat, and Lego caps do with the montana and other paints for the versatility of lines. I could try the same caps with other cans but probably wouldn't get good lines fat and skinny out of them with other paints.

Imho, you need 4 in your arsenal, a thin, a soft fat, a hard fat, and a can dumper (like a mtn lvl2, a pink, a ny fat, and a cyclone) but that varies by what your doing, if your on a legal wall leave the can dumper at home, if your out bombing you dont need a thin (and id say you should just have a dumper on your fill can, chrome or somethin, and a hard fat on your outline, fuck changing caps on the street i hate that shit), then you might also want a calligraphy or a needle cap or some other rando shit, most important thing is find something you like and stick to it

@@paintgreatBoth montana black? Or montana gold? Montana black is high pressure so you wouldn't want to use that. If you use Montana gold with a Montana level 1 skinny (the light green one) you should be able to get very skinny lines if you're close to the surface and moving quickly. Other than that, it's all about building up your technique, theres no short cuts, experience is everything. bang bang the real graff is about the streets not a gay legal wall you can't call that graffiti.. But if you really just wanna do graffiti and be safe go to abandoned places, walls that are like in the middle of nowhere (what I mean is that they're not walls from a house, or a shopping centre, etc) but honestly be careful in the abandoned buildings as someone said earlier, you can find from just humble homeless people to psychotic drug addicts and other different violent people.. I kinda rather get chased by a pig than a dude on meth holding a knife. Just personal oppinion (xD) Stay safe man don't get yourself killed pretty much.

@@12345lolacat Nah. Hit the streets first. You won't get any respect if you've never bombed. Most legal writers used to do it illegally, that's where they got their skill. I agree with you though some people just pick up a can with no idea of what the culture represents. My city is terrible for it; bunch of shit writers dissing each other.
