For sure deserves those flowers but formal is in a different league when it comes to accomplishments compared to slasher, 26 major tournament wins on multiple FPS, winning champs in both ! He’s pretty much a god of FPS

He competed at opens but he never actually made it to the pro league e6 wasn’t good enough

It's definitely going to be the 2019 class in a couple of years even if you put the 2014 class first right now

@@maxmuller5773 the least competitive teams right now are more competitive than the majority of teams back then. The level of competition in the CDL is the highest we have seen, Crimsix and Scump had said it multiple times that it’s harder to win now than it was back then

its worth noting that in the cwl era, champs was much tougher to win cuz the tournaments were bigger, which could be why 2014 class has less world championships

Lets not forget every team in pool play were freebie AM teams and every first rounder were lay ups too. Top teams only had to beat 1-2.other top teams in bracket play to win tournaments. Contrast that to today and teams are playing top teams right from winners round 1.

Double edged sword tho…. You’re not allowed to lose …. Meaning the margin for error is less than it was back then …… If you lose a Series you’re in losers and then it’s do or die!!

@@royalty4958 counterpoint og v nv happened first round at champs in 2016. og v denial also first round. lg v 100t first round bo4 champs the top is always more stacked. lesser teams are still lesser teams with upset potential. in cwl era there was always a cinderella story. tr in aw, t1dotters in ghost, now you see bad teams all year and they have less of a upset potential then in previous iterations because there is very high level of familiarity

@@jasonarmstrong9656 Those are a very select few examples, nowadays every first round match is a 50/50 toss up/Being more familiar with teams playstyles today causes for a higher level of difficulty to win. Every event back then were basically pro-am events where top teams got to beat up am teams in pool play and only faced a few good teams in bracket play. Do you think the optic dynasty is winning the same percentage of tournaments now as they did back then??

@@royalty4958 you know whats funny about this conversation is this is the exact same talking point used during bo2 for col, ghosts for col, aw og etc. and sports now. its a boring talking point. you can only compete against your peers. steel sharpens steel. you dont get better in a vacuum competition gets people better its evidnced in every aspect of our lives.

The editing and visuals are really nice and flows well through the video😄

Illey should also be included in this list for 2019. 5x time event winner and one of those is a chip.

It’s so hard to compare them but the real ones know the answer.

Abezy and Simp are prolly the best in terms of how they started their first year and win champs! But 2014 have more chips combined than 2019 w FormaL carrying them😂.

Hot take, before the cdl it was much harder to win a world championship because there were so many teams that can qualify. So no surprise that the new rookies have more rings than the 2014 rookies

def 2019. Formal is one of the best if not THE best main AR of all time. Cell is the best flex & simp is top 2 SMG w Envoy being top 10.

Enable accomplishing all that and not having 2thumbs is crazy

We just gonna forget about asim ? 2019 as well

IMO the only players that were in the final form that can beat bo4 simp are: bo2-ghost crim and IW formal

All CDL champs should have an asterisk next to them due to the fact it’s so much easier (less matches) to win now than it was when there was pool play and THEN bracket play. CWL format>CDL format

Wrong... More matches doesnt mean it is harder to win.. Beating up dogshit teams in pool play doesnt mean it is harder to win back then... In BO4, Optic placed 3rd despite beating just one top 8 team...

@@whydouneedaknoand how many good teams you now have to beat last season were ny faze optic thieves ultra and maybe Seattle good at champs there only 8 teams you don’t even have to play more than 3 and actually only faze and ny had good seasons so in champs you have to win 4 games but only 2 of them had a good season now you win a major with 4 games never really have to beat a good team

2014 because the top prodigy's were vs'ing eachother and still performing and making finals vs one another. Simp/Abezy and Cell have been on the same team from the start

Tbh it has to be 2019 class. More world champs

2014 COD Ghost was disliked publicly however it was up there as one of the best years in COD Esports. Key events such as TCM beating epsilon. Europe had two strong teams which could be top 10 internationally. They were dark horses. The class of 2014 was brilliant too as the names that was listed here. You also had EU players being considered to NA for example Swanny to Optic Nation transfer, sure unsuccessful but it was a sign of EU COD becoming a valid competitor in COD Esports after being on the fringe of international COD.
