Which BABY GOAT are we GOING TO KEEP? (raising miniature goats)
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Faline & Fiona are our newest babies on the farm, and after A LOT of thought, we've decided their fate!

Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

If the puppy is a double coated dog I would not recommend shaving down there coat won’t grow back right and they might not be able to become warm when it’s cold
When the baby goats play they looks very cute
That's awesome congrats way to cute aww ❤️😊
If your dog is doble coat you might not want to shave him/her. Some breeds are made for extreme weather conditions and their coats work as an insulation to keep them cool or warm depending on the weather. You might want to do some additional research. Spitz breeds for example, have the main two veins close to each other so that they can expand or contract according to the weather in order to keep them cool or warm. Same happens with their fur. I learned this from a veterinarian convention we did translations for. Just FYI
Maybe a Rough Collie, though you should never shave a double coated breed.

I think you made the right choice, since you've got three girls from Tilly already plus the ones coming and Stella's babies! Both girls are lovely but I think they'd make another farm very happy
My guess is still a st Bernard but if it is a double coated breed like that please don't shave it. If you shave a double coated breed the hair doesn't grow back the same and doesn't let them regulate their temperature. It sounds counterintuitive but the thick double cost actually cools them off, during the summer the outer guard hairs repeal heat and the undercoat keeps the cool air in and during the winter the guard hairs repeal cold and the thicker undercoat keeps the year in. I would suggest you do some more research about this so you can see exactly why you shouldn't shave them.

If it's a double coat breed DO NOT SHAVE THAT COAT It is insulation from cold AND HEAT! The dog will be exposed to sun burns and won't be able to regulate it's body temperature like it was *made to*. Please, please, PLEASE do NOT SHAVE. You can research into how coats work on thick and double coated dogs. There are livestock guardian dogs with very dense coats (like Anatolians, Caucasian Ovcharka, etc) that are MADE to guard flocks in very hot African and South American climates.

@@alysanewton7384 If the dogs are the type that everyone thinks that they are then they really shouldn't shave the dog no matter what. It can cause serious health issue.
