I only recently got converted from pourover hating espresso only man to now regularly doing v60s when I get some really nice coffee. Is it worth it to get a flat bottom brewer, a switch, a 0 Bypass brewer, an aeropress etc. or should I just stick to my v60 and focus on perfecting my technique there. My focus isn't consistency, I'm fine having mostly mid results while chasing that one amazing cup instead of getting a nice but not perfect cup every time.

I'd just pick up the April as it's the most straight forward flat bottom and doesn't run into any clogging issues like a Kalita does!

Have the blue April brewer where they I believe changed the plastic composition for thermal stability, also have the glass carafe which is nice. Love the look of the cups but even posted to England still cost an arm and leg for April merchandise. 👍

Hi there is a glass here to the left of the yellow brewer that looks like the Wendelboe Split cup. Where is that from, do you know? Trying to get some nice drink ware

Was the ceramic just released? This is so confusing. I definitely like the definition of the ceramic more than the porcelain so I immediately started searching for it and it only seems to be available from April right now but even their site is confusing. Did they discontinue the porcelain because I don't see it as an option to buy. Then in a spec diagram I see mention of the porcelain but not the ceramic which is where it gets confusing. I don't want to order it from anywhere because I'm afraid anyone selling it would use ceramic and porcelain interchangeably and I would end up with the wrong one.

There are two versions. The April x Serax is the first model. The new Model has more refined inner edge to keep the filter flat.

I'd just pick up the ceramic from the April site and that should be the most updated one in the photos too! The most recent one seems to have the Orange logo on the bottom whereas the older one (I have one too) is black text

The glass one is the prettiest! But I've broken two of them

It this not potentially a thermal mass issue? Plastic needs next to no preheating while both the ceramics would (tradeoff for that "no plastic" life).

Yes, and this definitely influences a lot in the cup like the finish being more rounded/apparent or crisp apparent acidity. That's why we end up owning all of them 🙃

My favorite part was when Patrik Rolf suddenly arrived, read Marcus Aurelius and then said its rolfing time
