Naruto, One Piece, Full Metal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, Death Note, and Code Geass are all very good. Even for non-anime people, it's kind of easy to get into them - Compelling stories and great characters.

@@TheCodingGengarYT That's a good point. One Piece and Naruto both have a TON of filler, some good (like the G8 filler arc) and some bad (the Davy Back Long Ring Long Land arc). But One Piece does a great job of creating emotional responses in its viewers. You can laugh, cry, and have amazing "fanboy" moments in a 20-minute episode. Some early One Piece, like Arlong Park, Syrup Village, and Baratie arcs, were kind of great and drew us in because they were quick-hitting. They cut through some of the BS and were able to capture audiences. But it definitely drags some at Skypiea, but picks back up well at Water 7 and Marineford. As mentioned, even the G8 filler (right after Skypiea) was pretty good. I think hat's why some prefer the Manga. I've been told by other fans that the anime is so slow paced at times because they have to wait for the Manga, things get extremely drawn out and anime arcs are added like that dragon one with Appis right before they cross into the grand line.

@Alice Not yet but I plan to. I wasn't a fan of how the anime was directed but the source material can't be much better. It was trying to make something look terrifying when it wasn't and I think that's what ruined it for me. And I didn't like how everything ended perfectly. I was kinda hoping for a bad ending or at least a bittersweet one. Overall I give it 7/10. 10/10 anime for me are Attack on Titan and Aku no Hana.

My heart warmed up seeing so many older animes get mentioned. Japanese people know their treasures while many foreign anime fans don’t. I think I should go back and start Slam Dunk from scratch again. Edit: I really enjoy reading the comments under mine. Thank you everyone for mentioning your favorites, older or newer. I have started watching Slam Dunk from start , it will take a while to rewatch all but I am here for the ride. I am 33 year old woman now compared to that young girl in 2008 who liked hanamichi 😅 but nostalgia stronger than anything. Slam Dunk made me interested in basketball for the first time and I wish to relive those happier times in life. Anime can take you to so many places, emotionally and physically. I am also reliving through “Monster” right now.

And that’s what’s clearly missing in todays international anime community. Everyone is always talking about what’s new - this and that, only series that everyone is talking, is the only series worth watching. Any series that came out last year or more is already considered “old news.” I don’t even keep up with brand new seasonal anime anymore, unless it’s a series that REALLY grabs my interest. Otherwise, I’m still watching “old” series.

As a person who has watched like more than 200 animes I would really recommend watching the following animes : 1. I'm the villainess, so I'm taming the final boss 2. Classroom of the elite season 1 and 2 3. 7 seeds season 1 and 2 4. Code Geass : Lelouch of the Rebellon season 1 and 2 + a movie 5. Death Note 6. Yugioh all season and movies 7. Pokemon all season and movies 8. Carole and Tuesday part 1 and 2 9. The Royal Tutor 10. Bottom-Tier character Tomozaki season + 2 11. Pretty boy detective Club 12. Moriarty the Patriot season 1 and 2 13. Food wars! Shokugeki No Soma season 1,2,3,4 and 5 14. O Maidens in Your Savage Season 15. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation 16. Science fell in love, so I tried to prove it season 1 and 2 17. Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut These animes I really good in different ways. They have different genres. Take your time and watch it one of the time. Animes are not only fun and entertaining but it is educational as it teachers you are lots of things e.g. about emotions, love, sexuality, and much more. I hope you enjoy and at least one thing from these anime when you do decide to watch.

Power scaling makes no sense in the anime origin of power has no sense in the anime. overall good characters with bad world building. Still overall is a good show to watch i give it 7.5/10 easy. The problem with jujutsu kaisen is they dont do anything with the slow pacing like for example the students are suposedly studying/training to become better curse users but how are they doing that how is their power lvl increasing nothing is shown nothing is explained so offcourse u cant get emotionaly attached.

Nowadays these things are more socially acceptable as people don't care what you watch anymore or they're also watching it. Anime is more accepted overseas than in Japan in some cases.

Been a fan of Shoujo/Shounen, Slice of life, Romance, Supernatural animes since I was younger and now I'm trying other genres. It was quite a fun and cool experience seeing how animes change over the years as how people's tastes in anime do so. Ps. When the girl said "Violet Evergarden", it kinda felt like I'm watching one of the scenes where Violet's friend called her 🤣

I live in the states and I am surprised that nobody mentioned "Sailor Moon"😱😭 lol that was my first introduction into Japanese anime as a kid, followed by "Tekkaman Blade" (US adaption was called "Teknoman") whom I swear I was going to marry when I grew up 😅 This was a very interesting video. "Attack on Titan" is very popular amongst all my friends too, and I was never a "Naruto" fan until I laid eyes on Itachi Uchiha 😍🥰🤩 Besides this, I also love your videos on dating foreigners. Great video! As for recommendations, I would highly suggest watching 1. Fruits Basket 2. Inuyasha 3. Code Geass 4. Death Note They all have such a good storyline and well written characters. You will absolutely love these in my opinion. Also, since you watched more shonen like shows, I would recommend watching Black Clover and Bleach as well. Those are my favorites as well.

The one who says he doesn't watch a lot of anime but still ended up answering Major got my respect. Sports anime hasn't been well received before tho with the rise of Kuroko no Basuke, they started to be well accepted on recent times. But Major was really one of those sports anime which is old but grows with you, seeing how Goro started as a kid on S1 and by the end of S6, he ended up getting a family and even retiring from the sport he played as a kid. Truly a masterpiece.

I personally like some spokon, but more on boxing/martial arts, being myself a (very low-key) martial artist. But I would suggest also "Touch", always in baseball. It's not old-school but also not recent. It starts with an apparently "easy" plot, but it's very moving.
